Hey so I got the 4ALC trying to this as well, same motor and everything else mines just front wheel drive, I can’t find that hose you talked about for the vacuum advance
No there is actually just 3 on the distributor and you pick any one and plug the other two, play around with whichever feels best for the motor. I couldn’t really feel a difference when I would choose a different port for the vacuum but after you have selected the one you want,(I chose one of the higher up ones out of the three) you run a hose to that same port I chose on the carburetor. I don’t know why the port on the carb is the exact one to use but after a bunch of research I found that that was the best port to use 👍🏻😎👍🏻
Thank you. I tried the lower one because I saw a metal vacuum pipe that I didn't see in your video but it ran along where you placed yours. But after your comment I'll try the other ones to see if a difference. It starts up fine just seeing a lot of fuel around the carb especially one of the ones you suggested to plug up. Then it goes into a higher Rev then slowly stalls. I plan to play around with idle screws you mentioned towards the end of your video.
Hey mate just swapped my Webber to a standard 4ac carb, having bad idle issues and when I rev it too far it backfires, runs sweet off brake cleaner but any idea what it could be?
Just from what you have told me, it probably is either a dumb vacuum leak or you may be running a little too rich. Try setting the carbs air fuel mixture screw to stock spec and the play with it from there. 😁👍🏻
@@BlazeitjacksonI have since fixed the issue turns out the carb was bad so sourced another one from a friend, car ran great for 2 days now the idle seems to randomly drop and sometimes it dies, any idea what it could be in terms of that?
@@Blazeitjackson so turns out I had the exact same issue as he where I had vacuum leaks from the carb gaskets, I literally just used the exact same rtv you used in the video and am now waiting for it to dry lol, fingers crossed
@@Blazeitjackson rtv worked the treat, car is running so well now, just can’t seem to get it to idle lower, can’t get it lower than 1000-1050, I’ve set dizzy timing to 5 degrees
🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿
It really wasn’t that big of a change. If anything, gas mileage went down teeny bit. I can’t really remember too much since I sold it not too long after completing the head gasket and that was maybe 2 years ago now.
pretty cool. You could do a weber carb on this tho

Cmo es la adaptación de ese motor el línea no había visto motor en línea en carro sedan
Great video. So out of the distributor cap area there are 4 outlets for vacuum, plug any 3 and use one to the carb?

Hello, what is the right oil filter for this motor?
This should be the right one, but read the details just to make sure 👍🏻 (4AC)

@@Blazeitjackson Thank you man
Were you able to pass smog with this ?
No, but even with all the crap I still couldn’t smog cuz my carb ran a little too rich 🙄.

Will this affect my Fuel Economy?! 😂
Most definitely 😂😂
@Blazeitjackson Better or worse? 😂

Bruh, I’m in SoCal. I need your help with my 4ac Lmmao. What’s your IG?
My main IG is @blazeitjackson 👍🏻😎👍🏻
