@@Angel_Love6680 the bael from iron blooded orphans was also pronounced "bile" in the english dub instead of bail so maybe its a name that has origins somewhere else? It isnt the biggest deal, but it still irritates me to no end

Dunamis (Ancient Greek: δύναμις) is a Greek philosophical concept meaning "power", "potential" or "ability", and is central to the Aristotelian idea of potentiality and actuality.
Often spelled Dynamis.
It's a real shame the kit doesn't come with the pistols and holsters, cause as far as I know, the main way to get em without just 3d printing is to get the version that comes with the GN Arms.
The Astraea 2 and Cherudim Saga Type do come with both pistols and holsters too, but I think the pegs for them are designed for their respective kits so you'd end up needing to mod or glue em in.
And the 24th Century Weapons set only comes with 1 pistol and no holster. :/

I think this was still when Bandai wanted you to buy multiple versions of kits if you wanted to get just one little extra bit. See the mutiple versions of 00 Gundam for that. I don't think they foresaw the plastic shortage or realized what that could mean for reprints (still waiting for a GN Sword III reprint)

If you buy the HG GN Arms Type D, you'll get the GN Beam Pistols for Dynames.
I wanted tk buy that version, but the price it goes for in the aftermarket is just insane.
I'd probably find a way to 3d print the guns seperatly and get the regular kit

I really hope you look into other old kits if they are in your backlog. The hg zudah especially.
I'm watching the gundam build series now. They inspired me to stop using stickers & paint the details. This would be a great kit to paint up to bring out the details.

those 00 kits are pretty good but the plastic on all moving parts gets very lose very quickly if you pose them a lot 😔

I actually don't mind the relative lack of posability on Dynames (or Virtue) since that fits with their mission profile, though I wouldn't be opposed to improving it either. What I would really like is for all of the 00 to add backpack swapability and improve the weapons. It's ridiculous that Dynames is missing the pistols, it's insulting that Exia's beam saber "effect" requires paint.

the normal HG dynames didn't include with GN-pistol. however if you buy the GN-arms type-D it came with it.

I can certainly recommend a model kit . He is the best of all the high grades that I've built so far and is the Adele of g age 1

Okay, so this kit doesn't come with the pistols, even though it should because if I remember correctly, the pistols and the large shields were part of the same upgrade. The whole reason for the shield to open in this segmented way is to use the pistols while sill having increased defense. The GN Arms version of the Dynames that comes with PTSD does include the pistols though. And that is your best option, because the holsters of the Astraea F aren't compatible with the Dynames kits, and the HGBF 24th Century Weapon Pack only includes a pistol and no holster.
They have to be doing this on purpose, I refuse to believe that it is possible to mess things up like this by accident.
The pistols are available in the gn arms (similar to what they did with barbatos in season 1)
I started gunpla in 2018 and this was my first kit. The first hour featured me messing up the eye sticker (which i painted eventually) and cutting my finger lmao. Painted the red at the v-fin and white at the cheeks plus the grey parts of the green armor. It got hella loose real quick from all the sniping pose i made haha.
Season 1 lockon was THAT dude but season 2 was also great hence i built the cherudim and zabanya after this one.
Bandai rebranded to Bandai Spirits in 2018.
The Dynames may not be the most poseable thing out of the box, but it has good potential. It's especially good for kitbashes now that you have easier access to 3mm peg to ball-socket parts you can get from several 30mm option part sets. (you can get them from HG customize campaign sets too, but those are harder to come by)

The older and creakier I get, the more I identify with the articulation on old HGs.

I feel like these HG00 kits would be really fun for custom builds. You aren’t gonna pose them much, so articulation doesn’t need to be crazy, there’s a lot of details to paint, and the low part count makes the build is simple and quick, which I personally like sometimes. That also means not as much to paint.
They were good for their time of release, but they are in need of "revive" versions because 00 has some of the best gundams of the franchise and deserve great kits.
hg 00 kits desperately needed a 2.0 like the hgce line. I want to see a revamp version of hg exia so bad😩
Strike noir and the Akatsuki big time.
Akatsuki was one of the FEW seed kits that aged well.
@@Matanumiits proportions are still dumpy and it doesn't scale all that well with the HGCE standard.
@@Matanumi strike noir sadly hasn’t, it’s build even for its time is pretty bad, it needs a modern setup with inspiration from kits like the build strike gundam and the l dagger.

Hg kyrios overall is a hand grenade with outdated design. MG version is better tho.

The ABS on PS joints really don't age well, especially at the bicep swivels, elbows, and knees. The ABS grinds down the surrounding PS when you rotate the joints. I've had to tighten the bicep and knees of my HG Exia R2 (originally built in 2010) multiple times.
I recall when the HG 00 line was still new, people were grateful that they were better than most of the HG seed kits that immediately preceded them. I really liked the HG Tieren ground type and Overflag for being such unique builds.
I just bought my first gunpla kits 2 weeks ago, they are the HG 00 season 1 Gundams, they were fairly easy to do for a beginner
Starting with some older kits is great, each time you get a kit a bit newer you can see how much they’ve improved!

Love how you are looking at the classic 00 kits perhaps you can also look at the season 2 kits to see how much have evolved from that i hope maybe you can someday do the original reborns gundam that one is my favorite.
I have the 00 raiser ready to go, and will definitely fill out the rest of the S2 squad!

2018 or 2019 (I think it is 2019) is when the blue logo/Bandai Spirits got put on boxes. There is actually two versions of the red Bandai logo: one without a white border and one with the white border. And then the Fire Nation attacked. I mean that stupid redone Bandai Namco logo was added in 2022(late 2021?).
0:52 Bandai switched from the red logo to the blue one on September 2018 (First HGUC to feature it was 215 - Moon Gundam). Sometime in 2022, boxes came with the new Bamco logo on the top right.
Anyway, this marker is nice because Bandai has been re-releasing some older kits with the new logo, signifying their confidence in selling them again. Perhaps take the time to review those?
They haven't change the molds they just reprint them.
I got a blue logo hg arche gundam and it was still a shitty kit (worse leg angle connectors ever on such a long and slender kit)

Please do a Re:view of the Freedom 2.0 I wanna know how it stood the test of time and how it will be ranked on today's standards.
I think this was one of my two first hgs along with the Kyrios when i was really young. I did not treat them well and they were in super glue covered pieces within a month or so but I kept them in their boxes and managed to salvage some parts for kitbashing. I remember being really disappointed that the Dynames doesn't come with the pistols especially since I got them because I loved the show. I actually did get the Astrea later which comes with them, but the Dynames wasn't worth modding at that point haha.

Just get the MG, its definitely worth it.
Here in Europe, it's pretty easy & cheap to get, most shop have it atm, actually bought it cheaper than you lol.
The kit yeah, it's great for how old it is, but I do wish it at least had the pistols. Actuelly those those pistols do exist, they're on that mobile armor for the Dynames, for some reason, that one has them and this one doesn't. I do find it silly when they leave out small details like the knee missiles, but lots of old HGs have this same problem.
1 thing I do have to say, I have all the main gundams, they needs quite a lot of painting, you forgot, or missed quite a few details that needs to be painted up. I hope that this kit gets either revive or better yet ,I hope it gets a RG version, cause thre RG exia is spectacular. (I also hope bandai revives some of the IBO gundams)

Are you planning to do a model kit outside Bandai? Hemoxian Thor Model Kit looks like a beast, as per comment its like a Master grade with a perfect grade gimmick.
I mean to do them more often, but I find it harder to get 3rd party kits to Ireland than the Bandai stuff. It’s hard to find a store that has them in stock

For the pistols you need to buy the GN Arms Type-D kit. Though if someone’s selling individual parts you could probably buy a set and stick them on your kit.

i Have it My HGBF x HG00 1/144 Dynames Type: GBF Version i Think Dynames Arm Arms Model Kit with Cherudim GNHW/R and Cherudim SAGA Type: GBF Plus with HG00 GN Arms Type-D
For those who don't know, Dynames' V Fin can move and cover the eyes like a visor to make use of the front camera for higher accuracy shots with the rifle. The pilot also has a rifle in the cockpit to control the Gundam while sniping targets and this rifle can be used as a separate handheld beam rifle as well should the need arise though it naturally isn't included in the HG kit as it doesn't feature any of the internals or cockpit.
I used its Left arm for my Custom Astraea prototype
I still have this kit on my shelf and it's been collecting dust for the past 5 years

What did you use to place the stickers down with.
have you ever used gundam markers for the eyes. I have problems placing stickers so I have just brought the ex green pen and a eye green gundam Marker. I got the hg Mk-II a.e.u.g and titan with clear green plastic for the eyes to try it on. But do I use the pen over the top or under the clear green plastic before putting it together.
I usually use a toothpick or a tweezers for the stickers. I used to paint the eyes on my kits with the markers. If you get it right it looks so much cleaner than the stickers.
The stickers pick up better on camera though because of the foil shine

The HG GN Arms Type D includes the gn pistols, but it is a rare kit nowadays and of course pretty expensive
