Albert with Jennie's tender. Albert's tender is up on blocks on the short track. Albert's train (the Green Train) is only five cars. The sixth car is on the old inbound main line from Frontier.
Thanks Jay... Since you've been there recently you've probably noticed that the 4-6-0 "Albert" has been retired and is on static display in the park. The 2-4-0 "Jack Foster" has been restored and renamed "Judy K".
Just got back from going today, and I’m in love with these locomotives, beautiful and amazing sounding. Judy k.
Cedar Point was always known for it's live steam (and rollercoasters).
Interesting to see Albert in action. While it’s sad that it doesn’t run anymore, I’m glad that they at least saved it for use as a static display.
I heard they were faced with replacing the boiler. Thanks for the comment.
@@vidwilzvids9587 the frame is broke, but at this point the boiler would need to be replaced. It was new in 1955.
Hopefully Albert will run again someday. Classics always make their return!
This is a pretty neat railroad in the state of Ohio.
Wish that Mogul Albert was still running. Went to cedar point for a band trip and the train was the best part!
Probably a victim of ruthless economics. Thanks for the comment.
3:52-3:57 Gesundheit!
Wow great footage of Albert in operation!
Thanks! In the not too distant future I hope to post some of my Ohio Conrail footage from that era.

Thanks for the informative comment.
The 2-6-0's bell sounds similar to the Disneyland Railroad locomotive #4's bell from what I hear.
I'll take your word for it. Thanks for the comment.
Amazing to see that end of the park before Mantis or Millennium Force. Nice job.
Yeah. That is where the Giant Wheel was originally located before they moved it to the lakefront.
Boy, he really liked to crank the oilers on Judy K. 30+ spins. Lol
Thanks for the comment.
