The Illinois coaching staff had a great game plan and both Lunney probably called his best game since arriving at Illinois in '22. And the adjustment on defense in the second half to put pressure on the Nebraska QB paid off. The players did a fantastic job executing the game plan, but what a game plan the coaching staff drew up.
Was a great game. Story for me: NEB earned every one of their 89 penalty yards. ILL earned 50 extra penalty yards than they got called for. Even after winning the turnover battle, you can’t win with that many penalty yards. And you especially can’t win with officiating being that lopsided on top of all your stupid penalties.

It was very hot on the field ... and frankly Nebraska defense looked gassed in the 4th Q... and both offense and defense were gassed in the OT...
