There are some muslim preachers/scholars who are quite eloquent and you can just enjoy listening to them. However Hamza Yusuf is such an inspirational scholar who is both very eloquent and immensely knowledgeable. This requires a tremendous effort from his side and it deserves a genuine respect from our side. Very well done indeed.

Amazing, love this lecture and talk. Everyone that matters needs to listen to this and just try to understand, even if one disagrees with what is being said! Brilliant, give us more of this.

43:13 --- "Well, real estate is huge. I mean, you know, Palestine was a Muslim country from the 7th century until 1948. And most Israelis have terrible historical amnesia, in confronting that issue."
    - Chris Hedges.
"I think it's an issue about real estate, but it's also an issue of oppression. For those of us who have to work in places like Gaza, and watch these people be stripped of their dignity, and humiliated..."

Lovely talk, interesting how Chris hedge at the end uses the term we have to "fight" against intolerance now that takes us back to square one where he speaks against the idea of " just" war or just fight for that matter. It reflects a bit of contradiction i suppose

I thought Chris Hedges' point about the Christian Right's selective biblical literalism at 22:24 particularly amusing...

34:03 -- "And the Reason that a lot of historians believe John Adams lost the presidency ~ his 2nd term, to (Thomas) Jefferson ~ was because...
    He Was Too Religious!!!
He started these thanksgiving days, where everybody in the country was supposed to Fast. ...And, Americans didn't like that."
