    I really enjoy your videos- they helped me select the Marakesh series for my hot weather riding here in Florida, USA. One thing- I have seen lots of Klim videos out there and this, different pronunciations of the brand. The Klim site has an intro, branding video… it actually IS pronounced “Climb”- go figure. Just thought you’d want to know. Cheers.

    With you Chris. I am deeply in love with my Marrakesh jacket. Bought mine from you earlier this year, and every time I have headed for a ride, I have set off wearing it and with my Scott 2 piece in the top box, just in case. Still not worn the Stadler yet, as I prefer to be cool in summer. Best kit I have ever bought is the Marrakesh jacket, and will definitely be in to see you for the trousers 👍

    I agree with you regarding wearing a mesh jacket, then when it's cold putting the Zephyr underneath and when really cold, the Maverick down jacket underneath, then when raining the Scott waterproof on top. I like the Marrakesh kecks, as well.
    Excellent review.

    If Chris likes the Marrakesh enough to call himself a "fanboy".. it seems worthwhile to look at. I need a good multi purpose jacket/pant and will do so.
    Thank you!

    Grrat review. What are the klim wind, mid layer and rain jackets you mentioned? I just bought a jacket and can see this as a great modular system

    As a previous powerlifter I have big thighs but a narrow waist. No pant will suit me, but the Klim Marrakesh with its stretch comes VERY close to being perfect.
    Motolegends, do you happen to know of a pant with similar stretch and protection as the Marrakesh pant, but also waterproof, or am I asking too much? Perhaps the Marrakesh pant with the scott DP pant is the way to go, but I really hate putting on rain gear. I have the Marrakesh jacket as well, its awesome, but for adv riding I use my Carlsbad because its Goretex.
    Best regards.

    Great review ! I have a question, for the moment i have the badlands Pro pants and i'm looking for a hot weather riding pants as i find the badlands most of the summer to hot. Does the Marrakesh pants flow more air in comparrison with the Badlands ? Is the Airflow or the Marrakesh comparable to a riding jeans? Or do i need to keep looking for something else ? Greatings from Belgium. Keep up the good work !

    • @Motolegends
      @Motolegends  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, the Marrakesh definitely flow a lot more air than the Badlands. The Marrakesh have no membrane so all panels flow air. The Badlands is a laminated GTX Pro shell so you are only going to get a small out of airflow through the venting. They are chalk and cheese!

    Hold on, if you’re thinking about four different product, or even three with one double layered, you can achieve the same level of comfort with virtually any jacket. Which makes it pointless to pay buckets of cash for Klim, isn’t it? I use Macna, it has very effective ventilation, it has a windstopper layer and a warming layer [and I can use electric heat vest, if needed]. I can use waterproof external jacket too. And the cost was ca. 220 quid. I don’t really get it how you recommend a jacket and at the same time tell people to use another product, and yet another product from a different manufacturer, and then they can ride anywhere.

    • @Motolegends
      @Motolegends  3 роки тому +10

      Maybe you should try the product on before reaching a conclusion. The Marrakesh is not like anything ever produced by Macna. We like Macna, but it’s a budget brand. They have never produced anything that flows as much air as the Marrakesh. The ventilation on your Macna may be very effective, but it doesn’t come close to the air that flows through the Marrakesh. You don’t know this because you haven’t tried one. The Marrakesh comes with a full suite of Level 2 D30 armour and, made from 1000 denier Cordura, it is way more protective than any vented Macna jacket. And it is a lot more comfortable than any Macna jacket too.There is always a way to do things cheaper, but we like to tell people about the best products money can buy. These don’t always offer the very best value, but they are nearly always better. It was Oscar Wilde who wrote that some people know the price of everything but the value of nothing. You may have found an inexpensive solution that works adequately for you, but this does not mean that you have he right to denigrate other solutions. Some people want the best, and are prepared to pay for it. The Marrakesh is one of those products that lots of people are prepared to pay for it. It might just not be the one for you.

    It’s really upsetting that Klim is out of stock across the board. I really wanted the induction pants to match my Induction pro jacket in grey but these popped up in black and I need some warm weather pants immediately as the heat is here. I hate that these pants don’t have a boot zip for the legs. I took a bet on your words and ordered a pair.. I hope they fit over my Alpinestar Dry star mid boots.. or I also will have to eat some humbled pie..

    Them light coloured posh biker kecks are going to get filthy rotten with road mud ,road grime & oil in five minutes Those light coloured garments are more for your riders who don’t know one end of a spanner from another & never likely to ever get their hands full of oil & dirt .Do they do them pants in proper sensible bikers colours like black for scruffy down to earth normal bikers like me ?

I need something darker ,that is waterproof doesn’t restrict movements with too much armour ,doesn’t make me sweat like a pig can carry a few tools in & cheap enough to chuck in a bin once it starts to whiff & look too manky .

      I've never seen any motorcycle clothing saying it's unsuitable to be washed.... except maybe the outer shell of a helmet shouldn't go in a washing machine, but can be wiped down.
      the DWR comes off yes, that will happen over time and usage and when washed. But use products like Nikwax or Storm wash (both of which can be used with laminated gear) and it replenishes it during the wash cycle.
      Dirty gear holds in heat & water more than clean gear, and reduce air flow. It will also accelerate the wear of gear and be detrimental to the material and waterproofing (if applicable).

      @@focus550 Every motorcycle jacket & trousers plus water proof winter gloves ,I ever owed had wash labels .with no machine wash ,no spin & no dryers . These have been well known make water proof textiles with zip in or out quilted liners & armour . Also the sleeves get frayed & full of bobbles . If you are having to go to the trouble of re weather proofing your jackets & pants ,you might as well just get waxed cotton gear ,that is less expensive than overpriced Revvit type stuff & is tougher even looks better when shabby & oily .

    Klim is pronounced Climb

      From google: How is the brand Klim pronounced?
      Klim (pronounced "climb"), based in Rigby, Idaho, is a company that manufactures motor sports (snowmobile and motorcycle) clothing using the same-name brand for men, women, and children. However, anything Chris reviews is always very professional with tons of information.
