Isn't that a fun tune to play? You've done a nice job; everyone who covers this puts a bit of their own spin on it. I especially like the 3 against 2 descending 'B' section; everyone interprets that bit a little differently. I learned Foxglove back in the 70s, and to this day I don't have a clue how I figured out it was in open C (C#) tuning. I think I must have been on shrooms or somethink... ;)
@@PaisleyPatchouli thanks Paisley . That is the beauty in live music renditions they always have a little different spin on the performances. Even classical players who don’t typically play improvised material, but change up phrasing and articulations etc. cheers
@@moberlysound Yeah Cockburn plays it differently from one performance to the next. I've even seen him play it on a resonator guitar. When I originally learned it I was studying classical guitar at the conservatory, and everyone was hung up on getting things 'letter perfect'. It was liberating to be able to loosen up on interpretation as time passed.
So very smooth! Excellent job James!!
Good job 👏
I'm learning it and it's not easy.
Agreed on both points.
Ok that was so smooth! Thank you
Thanks very much @amspeidel!
Very nice!
Thanks a lot Mark!
Glad to hear this guitar being enjoyed by a great player! Cheers!
thanks guys!
