If you couldn’t tell, this is truly one of my favorite episodes to date! Enjoy!
Me and Omar were in the same class in engineering school so this makes me so happy
I knew it
Great job on the interview bro! It was really cool hearing the stories. You had great questions I thought of and didn’t.
"Devvv voice" wowwwwwwww
Ljean sound like he prep for this interview homie on point
Episodes like this are interesting as a producer/engineer, because we're doing all the recording and mixing from scratch, often in the same session. It sounds nice to be able to just pass that to someone to finish it, or to get a mix job that's already half done
Wassup y’all, love the podcast! Just a reminder that some of us that watch are not as knowledgeable in regards to engineering as y’all and we watch to learn. Would be dope if when you’re using certain terms, an onscreen definition could pop up in the corner so we have a better idea of what you’re talking about. All love keep goin hard!
I've made a habit of looking up words and anything I don't know or want a refresher online. Its a powerful tool I know you have it lol.
When you get in hella early and the vid is only available in 360p
LMAO
This was the realest interview yet. He's cut fron that old school cloth. Love it guys!
NEW AUDIONERDS EPISODE YESSIRSKIII Best birthday gift ever

Love this for Omar! Truly one of the most talented hard working being I know! Very humble and deserves all the recognition he gets! Love that he's Reppin Raza 🇲🇽😎🇲🇽 Great Interview! ❤
Btw That's My Boo!! 😘❤️😘
thank you so much... that auto tune talk was really therapeutic for me! All the problems you described: low latency mode on off on again, windows to Mac, old versions, etc.. I had ALL of those
Love the pod! 💯

This episode was great!

The ear is so damned unique, but these guys hear on a different level. Idk if I’ll ever have the sensitivity to hear like them. This dude said he can hear different eras of mixing.

Great Episode!
@ayeYoRen
Epic. He should be a recurring guest. fire episode
what a gem
Wow, this guy is dope!
The pro tools N shortcut topic hit too hard close to home lol
Devv my boy you better stop apologizing for nerdin out!! There's no better place for it than the literal podcast called "my audio nerds" 😤❤
I finally had one of those moments where you just throw your headphones down in frustration because of a mix, I don’t know if it’s my headphones or what 😭😭
Ive used both a lot and feel like Waves Tune Real-Time can get what I'm looking for most of the time, from subtle to hard. and lots of different other options. And also always latency free when recording!
If your singer is not waay way out of tune also messing with the time tolerance and cents can get that real smooth tune! But also maybe I'm just used to it. Found it a long time ago and never found Antares worth paying for after that..
Which episode is this one? this is a valuable conversation.
We need a problems and issues on plugins episode... top issues or most popular problems we as artist, engineers, and mix/mastering engineers encounter... we need this pod asap
..!!
Real talk as somebody who’s been mixing for a longtime and looking to get out of the tracking field just because of the environments you get thrown in these days. This interview really made me want to sit and hone in on those skills I gained early on that make my recordings that I mix myself sound so good. The basics of making sure mics are positioned correctly and choosing the right pieces. Committing to some of those decisions compressing. All of it is so important in creating the vibes on records. So thank yall for this one. Omar Loya just became one of my favorites.
I love this what’s ur IG @ name

I like this podcast because it showcases authenticity and human connection
As a cinematographer and artist I just wanna thank Courtney for that first AC and second AC sidebar never thought both my worlds could come together 😂 this is great my audio nerds is my favorite podcast by far at this point 🔥🔥
“I’m a pro tools user I have a very stable life”
So much truth behind that statement
😂😂😂
@@EricVito404 CANY SEE MY COMMENT WAS WAST IT DELETED
I need that!
The tracking engineer is like the photographer, and the mixing engineer is the editor of the magazine. Thats how I look at it, but photographers are held in such a high place. Lets do this for recording engineers.
I just watched the Travis Scott -TILL FURTHER NOTICE Mix with the masters breakdown and honestly the mix engineer did not do much. All credit goes to whoever tracked it
26:03 God Particle is the Dorodango of the mixing universe.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽yea
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hi Devon I was wondering if you could some other genres like rock or indie folk or something like that ,love the channel
Consider it done
Gas ⛽
hi Devvon I was wondering if you could do a video bout your onto compressor hardware from audioscape as I recently saw your video about their eqpa and I bought it recently and I've been trying to get into hardware and I feel that would also help any other people that are on the fence as I'm thinking of copping the Otto comp from them
🔥
Brah Devvon be talking like he old bra you a year older then me lol does that makes us old 😂😂
14:32 I Would Most Definitely Watch Lmaooo

yah than help me learn a lot about recording myself i got my biggest song self worth from watching yall
37:50 I hate that button 😭🤣
38:07 that one is despicable
Lets go pro tools/abelton!!!
So… what’s the super simple tracking template???
Wish you guys had a log of terminology you guys use in these videos. I’m a newer audio nerd
Speaking of a nerdy quirk, can logic please allow changes to the faders be corrected/undone with the command+Z?
So what is the pay looking like doing those records plus the 3-5%? I AGREE
12:30 99% of the studios they step in
word mennnnnnnnnnnn
Can yall share the template?😢
I swear most engineers are introverted low key individuals.
Of course he was hungover. HE'S MEXICAN!!! LMAOOO gotta love my ppl lol
wa251 vs Wa 8000? anybody have real experience with the warm audio clone?
I'ma start calling Courtney and his DAW users the Ableton Akatsuki
