First recollection of Ali was in 1965,watching him against Floyd Patterson, he seemed to float and barely touched his opponents and they went down. From a six year old perspective.
Laila Ali is as strong headed as her father. Very strong and determined woman - very admirable traits inherited from her late father. Unfortunately, she is not as great as Muhammad Ali. She made it clear at the beginning of this interview that she’s a woman and Muhammad was a man. That’s a huge difference. She’s not Muhammad Ali and she’s wise enough to make that clear to people who tried to draw comparisons.
I was born in 1964 in the Caribbean. I was 'aware' of Ali/Frazier in 1971 and Foreman/Frazier (held the Caribbean) but we really SAW Ali/Foreman in 1974. And for the next 7 years, Muhammad Ali was my pride, he showed me and the world what I could do. I know Ali's faults, and I don't think he's the greatest but I still love him.
I looked at record of defeats as much as victories. E.g. Joe Frazier lost a total of 4 pro fights (2 each to Ali and Foreman). Ali lost to Frazier Norton, Spinks, Holmes and Berwick.
I love to recognize that Laila do poems unconsciously like her amous father. She is at age 47 healthy and fresh like Ali was it at age 30. She just knows how important good, healthy fresh, vital nutrition is, no cheating!
So glad I watched this podcast conversation, what a beautiful gorgeous intelligent woman, can definitely see some personality qualities of her dad. You are as great as your dad and as a boxer in your own way Laila Ali. And yes, humans aren’t born perfect. Love her outfit and earrings. 😍😘🥰👑🏆⚜️💎🎙️🤩🌟✨🩶🖤 🥊 💪🏽
haji , activset , champion mohamed ali have million admire , love he is inour heart for ever ,, rest in peace ,, most welcome leila mohamed ali ,,, mashallah ,,,.
I see a lot of myself in what Laila, Ali was talking about when pertaining to her mother, I was also a tom boy growing up and I used to have to watch my mom get physically abused by her husband, and I also had to step in a few times because the same husband was abusing me and my brother that was the only difference, but I was upset with my mom for allowing this to happen until I was able to stand up for myself. I believe that after Leila’s mom divorced her father, the men that she married after Mr. Muhammad Ali they were jealous because they felt they could not add up to Muhammad Ali’s real took it out on the mother and her children out of jealousy. That’s what I think.
Our white high school was divided between Frasier vs Ali.. right wingers for Frasier...we right wingers thought Ali or Cassious Clay was a coward draft dodger. I thought he was a fighter so why was he afraid to fight for our country. I was clueless!!!! Later i realized Ali's true bravery and greatness.
This was a great interview and I watched till the end. I would have like to know what she is doing now. I know she has a seasoning spice company. But what else is she doing now? Is she training others? Does she have other companies that she own? She would be a great motivational speaker. TED talk speaker. Thank you for this interview.
Saw A Story On Ali And One Of His Daughters And He Was Saying He Let Them Work Out Their Kids Problems On Their Be It Trying On Clothes Or Taught Them Be Independent Growing up ❤😮😅😊
I am really surprised by the impressive legacy your dad left to the international community in particular his great relationship with Allah and how he played a pivotal role in bravely putting the oppressors in their place and how that still resonates to the global community sans you following Islam accordingly ?
Total respect to your father Mr Mohamed Ali, and to you too,he was a real man,i think you did study islamic culture and History,if not you must read about prophet Mohamed pbuh, and omar ibn el khattab and khalid ibn el walid, you will recognize your father on the two last person (omar ibn el khattab, khalid ibn el walid).
Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He took the punishment we deserve, in his body and in his soul by taking on the wrath of God so that we don't have to go to hell! All we deserve is hell!🔥 We're saved by grace thru faith in Jesus Christ. Not by works. (Ephesians 2:8-9) Our good works are evidence of our faith. But, we sin everyday. We can't meet the holy standard God requires. We do good works to honor Christ and because we love him. Not to save ourselves. We are spiritually dead. And dead people cant do anything. Saved, is a word that means rescue. And we are saved from our sins. (Matthew 1:21) And we are saved from God's wrath in hell! (Romans 5:9) 🔥

Very weird statement!🤔💯

But he is deemed the Greatest for more than just boxing and he was truly an inspiration to the world.

thats a unnecessary weakness on their part
there no excuse for nasty abusive behaviour
When I’ve heard that Muhammad Ali was the most hated American, I think that’s crazy. He was 🤎🤎🤎 among African Americans. I appreciate him.
