IMHO the stock Redcat/REEFS 300 servo is a great servo when programmed and given direct 8.4 VDC from a LiPo battery making 310oz/.05sec. But the programmable Power Hobby servos are dope too. Cheers from the UK!
The same thing happened to mine the shaft for the motor deglued its self!! no gears are broke servo horn is fine dug deeper and pulled the motor shaft right out of the motor.
Oh hay r c it's me mr j again giving you an idea on how to really up graded the 6 4 hoping servo instead of using the stock crap redcat servo horn switch to an aluminum adjustable 2 5 t servo horn and change out the linkage rod end to an aluminum linkage and with the ball stud and just like that truly bullet proof operation I did it on my ms Louise red 6 4" no more bad "red crap quality control ya dig
How long does it take to charge your battery i have that identical battery in my 79 monte and the little red light never switches to green when charging it occasionally blinks red like 3 times then blinks green once an goes back to just red. I mean it powers the car just fine it just dosent get to fully charged id really appreciate any help🤝🙏
I just ran this battery one time to see how It would do with the stock then I went 3s lipo more power to the servos and last way longer than a nickel metal battery will I didn't used the stock charger to charge the nickel metal battery though I used a hobby grade charger

Well guess what red cat sent me an email today saying they're sending me one ASAP without having to return the messed up one back to them I'm rather surprised they actually took care of it and are handling it quite well other than they didn't like my comment on their page of the lowrider redcat page on Facebook but hey it's pretty much speech man and when you buy something that says it can do whatever the says it can do and it can't what do they call that false advertisement they sit there and tell me oh it's meant to go low and slow who said I was wanting to drive it fast and beat the hell out of it you know they assume and not us why I want to run 3s in it that's what cracks me up

MG is metal gear. Good and better than the typical plastic gears on cheaper Servos. Newer servos now are coming out with most of them. Most are made in China and quality are good too.
And redcat tried to say those reffs SERVOS were special built custom SERVOS nope they needed to check out their quality control all they are are re bagged re packaged sivox that's the reason why me mr j went beyond redcat and got about 3 of the power hobby SERVOS 1 to use and 2 as back ups and I just threw all that reffs "sivox ' junk away there just to mutch weak trouble that redcat wants to pedal and not make right when they go bad
Ya reffs custom made high speed servo right that's just proof that redcat ya can't polish a turd no matter how much you rub it or how different you try making the outer shell it's still the same old peace of shit redcat even if it's a re packaged and re bagged turd it's called quality control
Bottom line is that those reffs SERVOS suck as a servo there just re packaged and re bagged sivox SERVOS those reffs SERVOS are a tarabel problem servo all there is to it now see there that's the reason why me mr j totally went over and beyond redcat and got about 3 of those power hobby SERVOS 1 to use and 2 back ups
so set the body upside down set the interior in the body first then set the chassis in it'll make it a lot easier to get the body pins back on the chassis
I pre-ordered mine was the first one in New Mexico to get one and pay for one that's why but they said and sometime in December they'll have more so keep checking on redcat online
Yeah it's really BS that it says in the manual and on the ESC that it's 3s capable but yet my servo gets boiling hot and fries out basically and then the reefs as the nerve to post a video of saying it can work on 3s but they have the black machine case servos that are $210 a servo in the car saying that that's the same servo when it's not I looked them up before they even made that video but I guess that's a chance you take buying a new product especially all around new and general to the hobby but overall I still like the car and the product a lot

Just set the end points on it

Powerhobby 300BW works also for the impala or for the monte carlo? because I want to hopper in my Monte Carlo.

I don't see why it wouldn't work in the Monte Carlo also and then you'll need to add weight in the back like the 64 comes with

Are you using the stock battery that came with the car if not and you're only running up to a 2s contact Redcat they will warranty it out for you
Same problem here. Still no response from redcat so I'm just going replace with this servo.
I had this same problem but with my steering servo
Yeah I heard people are running in the beginning with the steering servo and it sucks cuz I use a smaller one than a regular steering servo

I see you had problems putting the back cotter pins in too.. I can't get them in for shit
