I met Rory Culkin at LAX. He asked me if the book I was looking at was worth reading on his flight. He looked so familiar to me I asked him if we went to high school together lol He said he just has one of those faces. It made sense when I finally figured out why he looked so familiar to me.
Well, it's somehow great to see that Macaulay Culkin is still alive to this day. Although he may look slightly out of shape as an adult, but at least he managed to bring a smile to our faces whenever we watch the Home Alone movies.
What a fucking asshole their father is...I am so glad that I raised two boys that are decent human beings. I always could feel Macaulay's pain, yet I didn't know just how deep that ran till I watched this. Kudos to both of them for being good people, even with it all....
You can even see a difference in Macaulay's interviews, right after he filmed Home Alone and after Home Alone 2. At first, he was very excited and looked happy, but after second one it seemed like he didn't enjoy it that much anymore. His answers were reserved and he carefully chose, what to say.

Thats a shitty thing to say, you're not looking at this situation fairly at all, how many times did the father try to visit them and he could've just left when they were younger but he chose to stay in the building, its obvious he cared, god knows how many times he apologized, They bashed him in the news and papers many times over the years saying he abused them and how the dislike him and dont care about him, And finally after all that and going to visit keiran culkin in new york he moved to Arizona and they bashed him again, Then he finally put out there "he aint a son" And you blame him ? sadly more often than not, parents of child actors use their kid's income immediately for things they want instead of saving it up for their child's future
Sometimes things dont work out as you plan, the father meant well, he took his family out of poverty, i think these kids will never understand, its because they were to young to remember how awful things were, 80% to 90% of their life they never had to be concerned when their next meal was coming from, they should have never treated their father like that

Such a talent. I'm glad he did all the movies he did, but it's sad to see he had to go through all of this. If he wasn't pushed too much and allowed a childhood, he might've still enjoyed being an actor. His brother Kieran was more successful in adult age.

Sick that these stage parents basically work the heck out of their kids and then wonder why they don’t speak to them or deal with them. Gary Coleman’s story was one of the saddest, I hate that their parents basically quit their jobs and live on their kids salary it’s sick
Say what you like, but the father took that entire family out of poverty, It seems like theres no winning with people, If the father didn't do what he did and stayed impoverished and kept the family struggling they'd still hate the father for never doing something to get them out of poverty, At least having 50 million you can chose your misery, habing 50 cents you have no choice
@@aliamjon2550 no I’m not against seeing an opportunity and making it a blessing but to turn it into a money hungry situation, then it becomes a problem. I think he was genuinely a good man and wouldn’t harm a fly.
@@tubester4567 That is not true. Michael had no victims. These allegations were made up by the parents to make money. The 2 fake victims that they did investigate were were found by the legal system to be not credible. That is why Michael was never convicted.
When he said about him and mj that "somewhere inside we were both 8yrs old because we never got to be 8 when we were children" I could so relate to it. I guess people like us don't have families even when we aren't orphans. It's horrible. As a child I always wished I was an orphan. But those who feel I am blessed to have a family, I'd happily say. let's trade our lives. Looking back Christ was so gushing through my veins, before the filth of my family took over
wow this relatable
I really wish them all the best and hope they are doing much better now. I never knew they went through so much heartache. A lot of what Macaulay went through in the press makes so much more sense now after seeing this. I was really young, so when people talked about him they made it seems as if HE was the problematic one. Now I realize he was just a kid who did not want to be taken advantage of and he was dealing with a lot of difficult stuff at an age where its really hard to find yourself plus navigate fame and fortune. He deserves to enjoy the life he earned for himself with the people he loves the most. I hope he and his family are having a very merry Christmas!
They do that to so many of them. Pointing fingers and being disrespectful of all the damage that occurred just to provide entertainment for profit. RIP to the lives, life, and innocence lost.
You didn't address the issue of photos of Macauley taken a few years ago looking emaciated and appearing to be under the influence of drugs. He looked like a hard core junkie. I thought my god he looks terrible, he's not gonna make it. I'm glad to say I was wrong. He's had some serious demons to battle. No child should have to through what he and his siblings went through and then to lose his sister, how very sad. Glad to see he's survived and doing well and is now a father, I'm happy for him.
as aa kid there was a point in time during the 2000s where we all thought he was dead
This kid could have a big and bright future if he has not been abused, or has given a chance to take a break for a while and study.. It's so sad how their lives (MJ and Culkin) got destroyed by their own fathers who brought them into this world.
Their mothers brought them into the world.

Bless these kids for surviving and giving us the best movies and tv shows. Bless the mom for doing the best she could it isn't easy given her situation. Much love to the whole family.
She could have use protection and not expose so many kids to this sad upbringing but she didn’t. I hope it’s because she was shattered not because she wanted to fix her marriage keep giving birth to babies…
In my opinion all child stars are sold into the Hollywood industry by their parents. Perhaps that’s why he felt he has no way out of it when he asked for a break as a 12 year old? We don’t know. His father looks like someone who is capable to exploit even himself for money and fame. Generational abuse goes deep in families …
@@goldsteinist It’s both parents RESPONSIBILITY TO USE PROTECTION. How in the world can you say that it’s the woman’s only?????!?? It’s BOTH. Ugh I hate people that says it’s the fricking woman’s responsibility just because the child grows in her and not the dad.

to lose your childhood is a tragedy and worse when it happens by controlling parents. I'm glad they were able to come back.

From everything I’ve seen, heard, and read, Mac is fine now and living his life on his terms…good for him!
Macaulay has made my Christmas for many, many years. The Christmas season starts with Home Alone (I only watch the first movie). The season ends with again Home Alone. I watched it last night for my season ending of holiday movies. It's like a complete season for me. Even though he wasn't happy back then, I do hope he knows he made many ppl happy and laugh watching that movie even to this very day. 💗

you can tell in his acting and personality that he’s a fighter. I had a neighbour who was just like him as Kevin in home alone and that personally came from him coping
There will never be another Christmas movie as good as Home Alone.

Still that kid is a star! What a sweetheart also.
& now he is healthy happy married with a child on the way with Brenda Songs. So happy to see him prevail through all of those tragedies.
Always sad for any child to grow in a bad environment, this will follow him sadly & he didn’t fertilise this. Wishing him & his family a happy life!
I don't understand how a parent could use and treat their children in the ways Kit did.
Macaulay,Kieran and Rory are some serious look alike siblings, love each of their films
You can even see a difference in Macaulay's interviews, right after he filmed Home Alone and after Home Alone 2. At first, he was very excited and looked happy, but after second one it seemed like he didn't enjoy it that much anymore. His answers were reserved and he carefully chose, what to say.
I understand the attraction between Micauly and Michael. I, also, was abused by a monster father. It took me 53 years to be an adult.
No excuse
@@fathergabrielstokes4706 For what? Friendship? They were friends because there was literally no one else on Earth who could understand what their lives had been other than each other. I was just talking about this subject with my Mom earlier in the week. I wasn't sure at first if all of them were mad to act. But what a quote to leave the video on, "I don't consider him a son anymore." I am glad that the family is actually better without him around.
Thats a shitty thing to say, you're not looking at this situation fairly at all, how many times did the father try to visit them and he could've just left when they were younger but he chose to stay in the building, its obvious he cared, god knows how many times he apologized,
They bashed him in the news and papers many times over the years saying he abused them and how the dislike him and dont care about him,
And finally after all that and going to visit keiran culkin in new york he moved to Arizona and they bashed him again,
Then he finally put out there "he aint a son"
And you blame him ?
Id say it was a two street at best, but what i really i think is theres more to the story, we only heard the kids point of view, we've never heard the fathers point of view
I think you misunderstood me.
I think the world is a lot better without the father. I love the Caulkin siblings. But I don't think they needed to be exposed to any of that Joe Jackson bullshit. Actually, I am just glad that any of the kids were ever able to lead lives with a supreme sense of fruitfulness. I don't know who you are. I'm,m sure you don't know me. sadly more often than not, parents of child actors use their kid's income immediately for things they want instead of saving it up for their child's future
Sometimes things dont work out as you plan, the father meant well, he took his family out of poverty, i think these kids will never understand, its because they were to young to remember how awful things were, 80% to 90% of their life they never had to be concerned when their next meal was coming from, they should have never treated their father like that
I loved the Good son! I need to go rewatch that movie. They are a very talented family and I pray that things are better now.

THE AUDACITY OF KIT TO EVEN SAY “HES NOT A SON ANYMORE” AFTER WHAT MACAULEY HAD DONE FOR THE FAMILY. FUCK.
Wow! I knew some of this but not all of it. I don't blame Macaulay or Kieran for the way they feel about their father. As for what happened to Dakota, I feel bad for the family concerning her death and don't blame Kieran for crying. That's his sister.
and now Macaulay just got his walk of fame star and Kieran is on an awards season winning streak (golden globes, critics choice, emmy) !!
I remember getting a glimpse of him when saying farewell to my brother on a flight at the o'hare airport where they were filming. Total crush on him as we are the same age and just remember waving at him standing there. I almost ran up to him.

Yes... Mac said that michael was the father figure he would always go to. Now he's the godfather to Mike's children. Its a bwautiful friendship ❤️
Such a talent. I'm glad he did all the movies he did, but it's sad to see he had to go through all of this. If he wasn't pushed too much and allowed a childhood, he might've still enjoyed being an actor. His brother Kieran was more successful in adult age.
Damn I didn't know he went through all of this. I don't like how the media made it seem like McCauley couldn't get casted anymore because he had gotten older
Amazing story. I hope the boys are always friends. They've overcome a lot of hurt . The dad is a disgrace.
How can you say something like that without knowing botj sides ?
Sick that these stage parents basically work the heck out of their kids and then wonder why they don’t speak to them or deal with them. Gary Coleman’s story was one of the saddest, I hate that their parents basically quit their jobs and live on their kids salary it’s sick
Say what you like, but the father took that entire family out of poverty,
It seems like theres no winning with people,
If the father didn't do what he did and stayed impoverished and kept the family struggling they'd still hate the father for never doing something to get them out of poverty,

It's heartbreaking, he was a child!!! I was badly abused by my stepfather, my mother was too but did nothing. I've always mentally been trapped as that child who has never had help, I turned out good but it has had its affects like being diagnosed with psychosis and psychotic depression. Kind of how I feel about my sister in law and my niece. My niece is the only child my brother (or sister and I) ever had. My sister in law was an alcoholic and a narcissist. Drank while she was pregnant, smoked. Never read my niece a book, never did anything except admonish her for no reason whatsoever. Literally. My sister in law was and still is a piece of trash. Well, my parents and I helped raise her into the sweetest girl imaginable. All the while, sister in law was too concerned about her Botox, cosmetic surgeries, hair cutting and nail appointments to even think of her daughter. My niece to this day still had never even spoken about her mother. Quite frankly, she could care less about her.
