It’s interesting that many of us have learned to appreciate good videography and editing from watching UA-cam even when we don’t make videos ourselves. Alex is an artist, for sure!
Agreed. He has a way of finding little scenes with spider webs or something broken or torn wall paper. He stops and sees the details of what is around him. Best 4th wall ever. 🧡
Yannis has scored himself a great teacher in Simon ! He’s patient and includes Yannis in hands on practices ! Yannis will go far in this world if he keeps that enthusiasm for learning ! That painting will go perfect with the convent Billy ! Terrific job with the videos Alex !
Alex is capturing on film the vast areas of the convent that require work. This makes me even MORE impressed with Billy and his calm approach to it all. Many other people would be overwhelmed by it. Not Billy, he just Cracks ON!
The ceiling looks beautiful, Simon and Yannis are working so hard and it's paying off. Billy, you are a very hard worker and your kindness shows with all your friends and family. Thank you for sharing 😊
I really appreciate Simon going into the basement and pointing out all the old woodwork. He has an eye for carpentry. Things were built so much better back then.
Billy is truly a gem of a friend, he was so kind and good about moving the safe, didn't make it seem like having to help Ryan move his safe out of the way was even remotely an inconvenience to his day, even though it likely was.
Billy diggering. Ryan hoovering. Simon doing another great PTC. Yanis working hard. Alex capturing it all with his camera. Just another Wednesday in Northern France. I was amazed how strong the Chateau floor is, and the trolley you used. Simon didn’t seem at all nervous of the basement. We all need to be ‘more Simon’ ❤
“Take your time” lol!!! And it’s Ryan’s safe! There’s something about Simons voice that I could listen to all day. He has done such a beautiful job on the ceiling. Fun video!! Xx
Excellent episode! Loved all of the adventure! The basement and attic are always fascinating! Thank you all very much for making and sharing this lovely video! Be well, be safe.😊
I love how Alex goes all over the convent to film and the garden will be lovely but I see that Alex pointed out a roof repair you need to do lol never a dull moment at the convent and Simon and Yannis are rocking the kitchen
So much beauty waiting to be brought back…I love that painting. It’s such a good feeling to watch the convent come back even better. Billy looks natural surrounded by antiques…It’s more than monetary value…it’s appreciation.
Ryan is a Riot 😂😅😂😅😂😅! You two are amazing Billie. And Alex does amazing videos. Of course Simon & Yanis are great with their jobs as well as Plastering and painting. You have a great team and Phillip too is awesome.
The “moving safe” part of the vlog by Billy and Ryan was so funny, and I have great respect for Simon when he said it was a pleasure to teach a keen learner like Yannis. And lastly, the quality of Alex’s videography skills is impeccable!
Simon is an artist with the trowel! Ceiling looks amazing! And he's a patient teacher, encouraging and giving simple directions for Yanis to learn. We're all learning how to plaster properly now.
It would take removing a window and using a crane to get to le premiere etage. I wonder how likely it is that it would sag the floors, or fall through.
Excellent episode, one of the best, they are keeping better and better, glad you are surrounded by many friends, Simon and Yanis doing a great job, that celling looks marvelous and Ryan, he makes me laughing, love it. You all doing great. Thank you
Well done everyone, another great vlog 👏👏Alex is a great cameraman. It’s nice to see Billy able to do different things and not have to worry about filming. Simon and Yannis are great. Love Ryan’s vlogs too xxx💕💕💕
I really like the new video style. Alex your work is awesome. Hope to see Rick again soon. Great job on the kitchen. I have learned a bit from Simon. Thanks well done.
Simon is just a fascinating person .. going through the basement he was truly studying everything and just really aware of the craftsmanship and the history of his surroundings
I had to giggle at the safe. All I could think was how on earth are you going to get it in Ryan’s apartment if he decides it’s going there? Great find with the painting and rightly so it should be at the convent. Far too much to comment on as everything is breathtaking to watch. ❤
The plaster ceiling is magnificent! It shows the beauty of the chestnut beams perfectly. I love that Madonna and Child. Seems of the same time period as the Convent perhaps. Well done Alex on the video, as always! God bless you all
Billy have you thought about building some raised beds in the convent garden, you can make them easily using scaffolding boards . Firstly I would scrape off the top couple of inches of soil and weeds everywhere. Then build your beds you only need the depth of one scaffolding board on their side make them as big or small as you want then add a bit of topsoil/compost leaf mould and your ready to plant up your fruit and vegetables. If you do a no dig garden then you don’t have to dig them each season you just plant up, tho you do have to rotate your vegetables as different varieties take different minerals out of the soil and others put them back into the soil. Whilst you and Simon and Janis were cracking on I think Ryan’s cracking up!!😂
I had a difficult day today, was feeling pretty down until I watched this video. I love all of Ryan and Billy’s interactions, and Simon’s calming explanations of the work being done. Thank you team for sharing your lives with people like me!
If we could all see things through Simon’s eyes, this world would be a better place. What a great team you have there Billy, each and everyone on it adds their own special talent and personality to make these videos awesome!
I was feeling stressed after finding out my dvd reader wasn't working, I took a break with youtube and glad to watch Billy and co. I love watching you guys and enjoy the great filming and music. Also I didn't think plastering the ceiling would be such a big thing but I can really see the difference! Looks great Simon and Yannis!
A very entertaining episode. But the intro was very special! I watched it four times before I watched the rest of the video. Alex, your eye for composition, angles, motion, and editing is quite amazing. 🥃🥃
And by the way,Billy I don't know how you and Ryan, can work together at times with out cracking up.Both of your face expressions at times are hilarious..😂😂😂
Alex you are doing a superb job on the camera work and I love your intros to the daily vlogs. You are certainly showing us more of the convent rooms that we have not seen before. Billy that basement I would only go there if there was lights to put on it is creepy. Simon and Janis the ceiling in the kitchen is beautiful, you must have a crick in the neck Simon.
Before I could even finish this one up, you an Ryan had me laughing so hard 🤣 the two of you are completely hilarious.. you really made my day with a joy in an otherwise difficult day day for me.. so thank you ♥️💞 much love .. more of you together please? You both have perfect comedic timing🤣 I wish I lived next door 😘💞💞
Simon is a master in his work and teaching Yannis. The ceiling is spectacular I could look at it for hours. Billy do you have plans drawn up for how you and Gwendolyn want the kitchen to look? I greatly admire your vision to use that beautiful historic building for new life in the future.
Need some different size furniture slider discs for moving heavy furniture. Need to look into solid core hand truck tires. Just a few helpful suggestions. Good job moving that heavy safe. Simon is doing a fantastic job with the ceiling plastering. Yannis is a great helper as well.
There is an over abundance of talent at the convent. Each person has their skill. Wonderful to see. Thank you. May you all please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
Billy I have been watching videos on art restorations. It's truly amazing to see a painting that has been cleaned. After removal of old varnish and proper varnish applied. Wow !!' What a difference. Maybe at some point down the road you can see what pieces need it.
Great creative video, first of all . . . Your production value has certainly improved significantly (not saying Billy is bad at all 🤪) and this was a great example of it. The tour down in the basement with Simon was fascinating and getting his knowledgeable take on things down there. The attitude between Billy and Ryan over that safe was priceless. The ceiling is stunning . . . Way to 'Crack On' guys . . .
Simon is way cool...such a patient way about him...I just bought myself a new laptop and I am so so appreciating the convent and your filming in a totally new and improved light..nice work chaps 😁⭐
Everyone is doing a great job, each in their own assignment .That with the raised beds for the garden is a good idea, you could use those trays from the cellar. They probably had sand or earth in them to keep the vegetables fresh over the winter.
Billy,Ryan,Simon,Yanis, and Alex my buddies. Clean up with a tractor looks like fun. Moving the safe looks like heavy work. I love the painting. It does belong in the convent. The basement has a lot of spooky areas. Well my buddies until tomorrow. Take care and stay safe. Love ya 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🌞❤️🕊🇺🇸🙏🌹😇🌈👍
Billy, you are doing a terrific job with the Convent. When it's all done and becomes a hotel, I was thinking you could name it , The Pethericks Hotel. 😊
I have a feeling Ryan isn't getting that safe back. LOL Can't wait to see Yannis attempt to work on the ceiling tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your day. 😀
the banter between Billy and Ryan just cracks me up. so dry, so entertaining. if you haven't been following and getting to know them, some might take pause. hahaha....and i hate that i'm bothered that the safe could have been moved about 3 inches to the left to be balanced under the picture. 😜
Alex has the eye of an artist, his ability to find interesting lighting / shadows and his framing of shots is really well done and enjoyable to watch.
It’s interesting that many of us have learned to appreciate good videography and editing from watching UA-cam even when we don’t make videos ourselves. Alex is an artist, for sure!
Just what I was thinking. It feels like we are discovering the convent afresh 😊
Agreed. He has a way of finding little scenes with spider webs or something broken or torn wall paper. He stops and sees the details of what is around him. Best 4th wall ever. 🧡
We need a Q&A with the new member 😊
And love how he gives us a peek at the streets & buildings outside the convent walls.
Yannis has scored himself a great teacher in Simon ! He’s patient and includes Yannis in hands on practices ! Yannis will go far in this world if he keeps that enthusiasm for learning ! That painting will go perfect with the convent Billy ! Terrific job with the videos Alex !
Ryan has such a comedic tempo every time he participates in anything. Love it!
And maybe a hernia now. 😂
Alex is capturing on film the vast areas of the convent that require work. This makes me even MORE impressed with Billy and his calm approach to it all. Many other people would be overwhelmed by it. Not Billy, he just Cracks ON!
So true
The ceiling looks beautiful, Simon and Yannis are working so hard and it's paying off. Billy, you are a very hard worker and your kindness shows with all your friends and family. Thank you for sharing 😊
Simon and Yanis are just indispensable. Their energy and positiveness surely helps Billy. Great guys!
Seeing the postcard pictures must motivate you to clear the garden areas. It will look so much better. Keep on going!
Wonder how many times he has to count to 10.
Kinda thought since it was Ryan's safe, he would've done the hard graft moving it
Hahaha, part of the Ryan & Billy comedy hour , love their camaraderie!
That painting is beautiful! It could go anywhere in the convent and look like it belongs!
Simon doesn’t ever seem to be at all nervous…admirable
Love Simon.
The view of the chateau coming into the drive is always an exciting moment.
“Take your time” lol!!! And it’s Ryan’s safe! There’s something about Simons voice that I could listen to all day. He has done such a beautiful job on the ceiling. Fun video!! Xx
Simon that ceiling is looking amazing, can’t wait to see Yanis have a go tomorrow.
Excellent episode! Loved all of the adventure! The basement and attic are always fascinating! Thank you all very much for making and sharing this lovely video! Be well, be safe.😊

I believe I have seen more of the nooks and crannies from different angles since Alex has taken the camera! Wonderfully done Alex!
I love the humor between you and Ryan. Your plasterer is really quite the craftsman. That young man is lucky to be taught by the best.
I have been in the construction business for 35 yrs and the work Simon has done is incredible! The ceiling looks absolutely fabulous. 😊 God bless
Billy, you are a very patient man exceeded only by your ability to solve problems and your good looks. Hats off to Alex, Simon and Yannis.🙏❤️
They all have such calm, patient demeanors. Where can I find a man like them? hee hee hee
Loving the new longer videos Billy. Great move to have a separate camera man, who can then edit as well which takes the pressure off you!
We ❤️ being so spoiled! Thank U! 😊
Yes Billy seems more relaxed having given Alex the job of camera man and editor and what a great job he’s doing
I love how Ryan knows how to push Billy’s buttons 😂
Simon is an artist with the trowel! Ceiling looks amazing! And he's a patient teacher, encouraging and giving simple directions for Yanis to learn. We're all learning how to plaster properly now.
Great entertainment watching you two move the safe. Great planning and all. How is he ever going to get that upstairs to his new apartment?
I was wondering the same thing.
Maybe he will leave it in the hall way downstairs and make it a " halltable", whatever it will be a giggle to watch.
It would take removing a window and using a crane to get to le premiere etage. I wonder how likely it is that it would sag the floors, or fall through.
🤔....well....he could just leave it at the bottom of the steps, if there's room, as a decoration or something ....I mean who would walk off with it? 😊
Billy looks as though he's getting younger by the day, such a handsome man
Every time I see that ceiling it looks more and more beautiful. Simon is an artist in perfection 😊
Excellent episode, one of the best, they are keeping better and better, glad you are surrounded by many friends, Simon and Yanis doing a great job, that celling looks marvelous and Ryan, he makes me laughing, love it. You all doing great. Thank you

it’s great to see inside the chateau again! every room that you’ve fixed up is exquisite- you all have excellent taste!
I had to giggle at the safe. All I could think was how on earth are you going to get it in Ryan’s apartment if he decides it’s going there?
Great find with the painting and rightly so it should be at the convent. Far too much to comment on as everything is breathtaking to watch. ❤
Ryan , I hope you didn't hurt yourself. Thanks for always bringing a ray of sunshine. 🌞
You guys are such hard workers. Crack on!
The plaster ceiling is magnificent! It shows the beauty of the chestnut beams perfectly.

An interesting look at the cellar ,Simons impeccable work and a good laugh with Billy and Ryan,a good start to my day, thankyou x
Glad I didn't watch this at night. The shot of you in the dark with a light under your chin would have freaked me out. Thanks guys. Xx
Ryan is a born comedian.
Just watched Simon and Yannis outstanding teacher and pupil great to watch😊
Billy is so patient, yet impatient 😂 I can relate. We don’t want to waste a moment.
billy has a brilliant team behind him for sure 👏🏼

Great video, great content.....the opening was superb,Alex. 😊🏴
Always great content guys. I hope Yanis is doing well with the ceiling plastering, he’s been quite eager to learn.
The ceiling is really looking great. That safe is mega heavy. I'm glad ye got it out of the way for the family visiting. Alex, great job on filming. ❤

Everybody's working. Interesting finds.
And your mate Alex is Cracking On with some fantastic views of the convent. Nice work 👍
Hello from Ohio USA. Your new Videographer is amazing ❤. For the past year or so I have enjoyed sharing your journey with all of you. "Crack On"

I don’t know what it is about Ryan , but he just cracks me up 😂😂😂
Ryan, granny driving is contemplation in country beauty.
Love the verb “diggering” 😆
I will be using that from now on
Great creative video, first of all . . . Your production value has certainly improved significantly (not saying Billy is bad at all 🤪) and this was a great example of it. Ryan can be a dizzy Doris God bless his cotton socks, can't help but ❤ him. X
Congratulations Alex, thank you for your professional work!
Ryan loves to over act😂

Alex is doing a wonderful job!!! Begining of show is great, he has such a good eye.
Brilliant intro”s really enjoying these vlogs thanks for sharing
You are doing a amazing job Simon!!! Well done!!!!
Vacuuming is what we call it in Australia. The painting is beautiful. The ceiling transforms the kitchen. Good luck tomorrow Yanis.
Kiwis do the vacuuming, hoovering or luxing - doesn't matter the brand!
Love hearing Simon talking about the wood
and such in the basement.
Billy, you are doing a terrific job with the Convent. When it's all done and becomes a hotel, I was thinking you could name it , The Pethericks Hotel. 😊
Where is Rick again? Love you Billy your vid’s are the best.
I have a feeling Ryan isn't getting that safe back. LOL
Can't wait to see Yannis attempt to work on the ceiling tomorrow.
Thanks for sharing your day. 😀
That staircase and the exposed beams in the rooms really look nice!
Good Job on the ceiling -keep it up ! Billy , You and Ryan make a wonderful comedy team. :D
Great episode! Alex- your camera eye is genius! It’s like watching a Spielberg movie with every vlog!
The ceiling looks gorgeous! Great painting for the Convent! Carry on!
Awesome.
I thank you for the explore! 😊
Safe moving exercise was comical w you two, definitely a naturally entertaining duo.
You and Ryan make me laugh when you're together ❤
