I like how Alex explains “just being” - rather than projecting who you are and what you are. Just BEING happy rather than having a reason WHY you want to be happy. Its like people doing good things to get recognized as a good person. No - do good things because you’re already a good person.
i loved everything BUT that. He seems unhappy to me, he was trying to search for happiness and never found it, now he doesnt care about happiness anymore. i think it comes from him wanting to be wealthy so bad when he was young and when it happened, like he said he felt nothing, so his biggest life goal achieved did nothing for him. And im not trying to be mean, i feel for the guy. I can personally feel beeing happy with bursts of intense happiness
@@NjoyMoney I think you just don’t have the same experiences so you view him as unhappy but my perspective is different. He’s just saying to not label everything. When you think about the bigger picture and how we just popped into this universe that has existed for long before us, everything just is. Nothing is good or bad and nothing is dependent on another thing. Your happiness isn’t actually dependent on anything unless you put a label on who you have to be/what you have to do in order to be happy. In reality you can simply be happy, you don’t need a reason. Graham, I've spent a TON of money on business coaching and personal development. This is BY FAR the best video you have EVER made in the history of ANY channel you have ever created. Seriously. I was like, no way I’m watching a 2 hour podcast but then 2 hours later I wanted more! So inspiring and Alex opened my mind for a different kind of thinking.
I listened to the last half of this podcast about 7 times while I was recovering from surgery. Alex was able to explain his views so well and it just blew my mind because I have some of the same thoughts and haven’t gotten to the point of articulating them as well. Absolutely loved the conversation and hope he’ll come back on in the future.
This was just autoplaying randomly until I heard him say a couple things that made me instantly perk up like, "How do you know these methods sir?" Then I realized there are probably MANY of us who came to the same conclusions after questioning things so intensely in times of isolation/meditation/depression. But for most of us normies, after you break open your thought process like that, attempting to share those concepts with others who haven't done the same tends to either steer back to less challenging conversation, or it ends with someone being offended/emotional at the mere thought of filing something in a different folder in their brain. If you're somewhere like a lecture, podcast, or anywhere else with a captive audience, it seems people will definitely entertain the concept a little past the "safe" zone. I feel like I could almost see that exact point in this video, and then afterward everyone was more curious than anything.
The reason why he’s so articulate and well polished with these thoughts is because he spends hours each day thinking about them for years. Which he is able to do this by being financially free. Think about why a lot of scientists, philosophers etc came from golden ages in societies. The Romans, the Greeks, the golden age of Islam/the caliphates. They had no burden of financial needs. Those big names we remember came from opulent families (for the most part) and had nothing but time to think about these things. Everything is a mastery, you need to dedicate thousands and tens of thousands of hours to hone in certain ideas, habits etc to get to this level. I’m glad I discovered Alex Hormozi’s content, wish there was more entrepreneurs like him
My god this is a great guest. Last quarter of the interview lifts one’s blinds up a bit to peak into how one can eliminate the idea of being judged by someone else, to how you judging yourself, to just be content but executing your vision. This interview is deep, gotta rewatch this

Graham has been told by so many guests how he needs to outsource script writing and idea generation but he can't let go. Other people can mimic the style, flow and content just as well and even improve upon it. He's just not willing to do the thing to take this to the next level

I think Alex's level of intellect and philosophical views weren't grasped fully in many ways. This man is truly on a level most can't grasp even when it's presented right in front of you. In the last 30 minutes he's unveiling fundamentals of how reality functions. Through teaching you that this reality is a mental construct created through your own perspective, vocabulary and beliefs. This information is insanely liberating and BEAUTIFULLY worded. It's interesting to me that everyone's immediate reaction was to combat the information, instead of having your jaw drop at the level of soundness it possesses. I would truly pay thousands to see him and his philosopher friend film a podcast of their conversations. Cant thank you enough Alex Hormozi for this INSANE information bomb. 🙏

I wish I could write a comment to reach the level of this podcast. I've been a fan of The Iced Coffee Hour since day one of the couch days. There have been endless guests that caught a surfboard into wealth, they were entertaining. This guest steps over self doubt, bias, chains that bind, and conquers them all. Amazing thought provoking content!
@@TheIcedCoffeeHour Alex (grahams employee) is a fat guy who exemplifies poor eating habits upon first sight. Him having the nerve to question grahams work habits should have him fired without a question. People that are average never understand what it takes to be super successful. 1:51:30 Did he just say that a 40 year old man having sex with a 15 year old 200 years ago wasn't traumatic? Just because something was accepted by society doesn't mean that little girl enjoyed it. WTF was that comment?
It was just an example (admittedly a fairly extreme example, and perhaps even a poor one, but an example none-the-less) used to try and make a point. That point (which clearly went over your head because your feelings got triggered and then you didn't care to use your head beyond that) being that much of what people label as "trauma" is not as big a deal as people think it is/make it out to be. It's often just an excuse to play a victim so they don't have to take responsibility for their issues, and then make the changes and do the work required to address those issues. Because it's much easier to say "it's not my fault because of 'this-or-that' or 'so-and-so'" than to hold yourself accountable for the circumstances of your life, regardless of where they came from or how they occurred, and to deal with your issues. Getting into an accident and being paralyzed from the neck down is traumatic. Living in a war-torn country and seeing people being blown up right in front of you is traumatic. That's what trauma actually looks like. Being bullied a little as a child or having a parent who didn't love you "enough" isn't traumatic. That's not trauma. That's just an excuse not to grow up, to put in the work, or become a functioning adult. And it's pathetic.

On another note, idk if there will be another guest as insightful as this guy. I love the perspective. Life really is just what it is, nothing more nothing less.
Is Leila a woman??
Provide the link? 😅
I loved hearing from Alex more! He's got such a different perspective. It's rounds out the hosting really well. It's not ALL about the money!
Check out his UA-cam channel!
Yeah you kind of missed the point tho bro. To some people their work is their fun. Nothing to do with money
@@Tony-gh8ggsounds like you missed the point of OP's comment
One of the best conversations I've heard. Supremely impressive clearly Alex operates on a different level.
I don't think I've ever been so attentive throughout an entire podcast in one sitting. I love the way Alex communicates.
Easily the best podcast on the channel. You know this guy is legit when even Graham is asking for advice. Will definitely listen to this again. Thanks for sharing!
*“Wealth consists not in having great possessions, but in having few wants.”* ― Alex Hormozi
"I shall not want."
He wasn't the first to say this. Epictetus was.
I am from Germany and even in the next 100 years nobody here will be even near to be that smart with salesfunnel, marketing and monetizing. Like wtf is this level of creativity. Thank you a lot for not letting him skip anything
I like how he’s smart, knows what he’s talking about, and relaxed because he doesn’t have anything to prove.
And to top it off he’s YAKKED out of his mind. Gains for days
All the red flags how? He’s worth 100 million and is literally selling nothing based on this interview. There’s no place to gain other than sharing knowledge. Goofy
@@tommyoptions4421 there’s documented proof of the sale of the 46.5 million dollar company as well as his accompanying percentage. Alex knows what he’s talking about
@@tommyoptions4421 and can you prove it ?
That's sth a chick would say, oh wait..
I wasn't expecting the philosophical aspects of Alex's thought process about life, but he is so right about pretty much everything. I've had a lot of the same realizations and thoughts about being ok with life and being stoic with everything. The man is levels above most when it comes to practicing a philosophical lifestyle.
Thanks Graham for having Alex on, Alex is number 1 on youtube atm in my opinion of real entrepreneur advice no fluff.
Every time you think who are Graham and Jack going to get next, they throw a curve ball and surprise us .. looking forward to this one 🍿 💯
I'm so surprised they got him
So stoked they got him’
Potentially energy. I wanna hear more about that! This was fun to listen to. Thank you!
Each time I listen to Alex, dude's straight dropping business gems and its not just the content, its the analogies and how its articulated that makes all the difference. You can see his trying to explain the same concepts a few different ways for Graham in the episode. Cheers lads for having him on 🙏🏽
I’ve watched Alex’s UA-cam channel blow up over the last year or so. Definitely looking forward to this one!
Alex is something else. He knows how to explain himself very well and has such a substantial understanding of life.
I didn't even realize this was 2 hours long, by far the best interview to date. I'd never heard of Alex before this, but will definitely be checking out his channel. It was so funny watching you guys just be speechless like me when Alex was explaining his views.
Enjoyed this so much! Would absolutely love to hear Alex and Jordan Peterson chat - Jordan who believes in meaning, and Alex who believes in meaninglessness. That would be a fascinating dialogue. This was a stellar episode!!
Yessss @RachAllene Alex & Jordan are literally all I’ve been obsessed with listening to as of late. Glad to see another person out here enjoying the same vibes 👍🏾
I think Alex is searching for meaning. I wonder if having a couple of children would give his life more meaning
Alex is truly ‘being present’. That’s all he knows. I can feel his freedom thru his words. Amazing. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Wtf this is amazing. These are literally my 2 favorite UA-camrs! Graham taught me personal finance, and Alex has been my go to for business advice for some time now!
Same!
Same!
If what I find interesting is all of my favorite UA-camrs have spoken personally with Mr. Beast at some point! I didn't realize Alex was one of those people, but collabs keep Happening and information gets out! I think we are all going to be successful at this rate.
@@TheHappyHummy no kidding, I found that interesting as well
I wish I could write a comment to reach the level of this podcast. I've been a fan of The Iced Coffee Hour since day one of the couch days. There have been endless guests that caught a surfboard into wealth, they were entertaining.
This guest steps over self doubt, bias, chains that bind, and conquers them all. Amazing thought provoking content!
I could listen to Alex speak for hours. Smart dude. Delivers his point in such elegant simplicity.
I listen to Alex just about everyday, I'm really looking forward to listening to this podcast
You got it!
Ted
@@TheIcedCoffeeHour Alex (grahams employee) is a fat guy who exemplifies poor eating habits upon first sight. Him having the nerve to question grahams work habits should have him fired without a question. People that are average never understand what it takes to be super successful. If Macy has a problem with grahams work schedule, graham can easily replace her with someone hotter. Whereas itll be much harder for her to find a multi millionaire like graham. Shes lucky graham is a square and doesnt cheat on her, because that is what most high value men do.
@@kevinthomas6311 you alright?
@@avilla4013 yes I just know the facts and how the world works, also I don’t like Alex as he always questions grahams work life
Little did Graham, Jack and Alex know that they were presented an opportunity to break free from the Matrix! Excellent!
Love Alex and Leila both so much. Can’t get enough of their wisdom and perspective.
Jack is just in awe the entire time. I bet you're feeling great to be where you are brotha. Keep grinding!
When he said he had 25% of 60mil in cash, Jack levitated!😂

So glad I came back to finish the rest of this episode. One of the best podcast episodes I've ever watched in my life. So much knowledge, that was incredible and I'm sure I can speak for a lot of others when I say this was EXTREMELY valuable!
Same!!!!
Me too. I had to break this up into two different listens, and wow. They're basically two different episodes! SO GOOD
I watch a lot of alex video and he talk really fast and packed. It’s really heartwarming to see him talk gently and slowly to you two!
Podcast twice a week would be amazing!! Definitely would take the time to watch/listen to both throughout the week. Honestly at this point I’ve re-watched some of these 3+ times due to the vast amount of insight, knowledge, and perspective gained. I feel as though I can learn or retain something new with every listen to a lot of these episodes!
No - keep quality up so 1 a week
This is the best podcast episode you have ever done. I saw Alex in my recommended and thought he was just another "yt guru" until now, I really like how you covered so much in just 2 hours from business to beliefs to mental health...
This podcast made me feel so much better when they got into the philosophy of meaning and happiness. Lately I have been feeling more and more focused to what I want but not feeling whole due to not really nailing down the reason.
Great content guys
best podcast i've listened to in long time. shout out to graham and jack for setting this up
This was DEEP. Thank you for having him on. By far the best podcast episode.
The last half of this episode is a MUST SEE FOR ANYONE WHO IS LOOKING TO MAKE CHANGE IN THEIR LIVES. Absolutely powerhouse of a guest. Incredible storytelling, unbelievable energy...
Thank you Graham, Jack and Alex for putting this all together.
Thanks for that! Because that filler talk of Jack’s walk was so boring, not why I was watching the episode!
At the end Alex is explaining judgement. When you can truly stop judging yourself, others, and life , you will experience less suffering.
I love Alex. Always dropping truth while staying humble and true to himself
That final 20 mins was unreal from Alex. His beliefs are something everyone could benefit taking on. Great pod
the whole vibe of the convo went a whole 180 in those last 20 minutes lol
Best guy on the podcast so far graham! Love his perspective and how REAL he is. No bs and just an overall cool person. Learned countless info from this podcast
The last 20 mins of this video changed my whole perspective and life. Alex, your amazing brother, the word amazing is such a weak explanation. Wish there were 100 more of you in the world . Keep doing you brother.
GREAT episode!
Great to see you here Aaron! Btw - you changed my life over 10 years ago. You were my first influence on UA-cam and a positive role in my life. Thank you
I'm Super proud of you Alex!! You'e the true definition of the American Dream and definite outlier! Let's Goooo!
What definition? Alex just is :)
Hey wesley billion dollar virgin , I didn’t know you also watch the iced coffee hour ! Lets goo MOTIVATED DEDICATED
You have got to be kidding me… I just recently ran across this dude on yt und binged watched all his content, literally thinking of recommending him to you as a potential podcast guest. Thank you so much Graham and Jack - Love from Germany 🇩🇪❤️

I'm honestly both happy and upset that Alex is getting more exposure because he was my private thing 😂
@@TheHappyHummy hahaha feel you
ever since this podcost ive been consuming his content. I got super "guru" vibes... the more i listen the more I realize how much he truly loves the game.
Sidenote, if you pay attention to grahams body language he is captivated the whole time wanting to learn
The amount of excitement I felt from seeing two of my favorite business/finance men together was almost embarrassing. This was a great podcast!
Did you immediately go and make 100k in a week?
He now has the mindset to double that with the right vehicle used for making money.
Literally been revisiting this pod episode every single month since it came out. It´s illegal how good it is.
One of the best Podcasts i have ever listen to. Worth every single second. Thank you for Sharing this.
I friggen love Alex...his material found me this year and I appreciate his transmission of information. Thank you for having him here!
It has never been "normal" for a 40 year old to sleep with a 15 year old. The trauma of it was just never allowed to be talked about 200 years ago. Still traumatic
LOL People 200 years ago had far bigger problems than being married off to a much older man.
There's a Bible verse about that. It's about putting old wine in new wine skins. Apparently they pop. I don't know the specific verbiage
I'm 30mins in and every second is like a diamond of information. This has been such a good interview so far, I can't wait for episodes 2,3, and 4 (60/90/120mins mark). I've already watched a lot of Alex Harmozi but this goes into great detail, so many questions I had you guys end up asking. :P
wow i cant believe you got alex on he's such an inspiration and rolemodel for young entrepreneurs such as myself
Alex Hormozi is taking over the internet and I love it
This episode got better and better the longer it went. I put off watching this for months, but I'm glad I finally did.
I'll be watching this one again.
This is by far the best one to date. The amount of wisdom shared on this podcast was insane! Thank you guys.
Alex is putting out the most valuable business / personal development content on UA-cam ATM. Always download his videos and listen to them on my frequent weekly flights. Wise he is.
His concept of "nothing inherently matters" is soooo much more profound and true than a lot of people can fathom. I'm with this guy 100%, mad respect 💥
It isn't that profound, it's quite a toxic outlook that can drive evilness.
@@MisterWealthand emptiness
@MisterWealth not if you think that "nothing inherently matters" means that you're free to give meaning to something the way you see fit
This conversation got real deep when Alex started changing “Beliefs” towards the end. Loved this conversation
I just wanted to say that it's one of the best podcasts I've ever listened to... But after listening to it till the end I realized why would that matter
This was one of the best podcast episodes I ever heard wow man.
Hormozi is not just a businessman but a modern day philosopher! great interview!
I’m afraid I won’t be able to watch another iced coffee hour. This has to be the best by far! Two hours flew by!
We agree 😂
I've listened to dozens of Alex Hormozi interviews and this is by far and away the BEST ONE! 🎉
The best 3 hours of my life watching something on UA-cam that i think is worth it.
I can watch this a hundred times and still learn something new from it every single time.
Thanks Graham and team to do a podcast with such an incredible person
Thanks Alex too for coming on the podcast.
As someone that’s currently on the investment banking/private equity route, it is great to hear from him about alternatives to the “traditional” path
I am 33 minutes and 31 seconds in, and I feel like I should be paying loads of money to listen to this. It isn't that what he's saying is revolutionary, but the way in which he lays it out is fantastic. Definitely the kind of thing I needed to hear today.
Love Alex for this! These arguments should be talked about it’s the important questions and people are to afraid to talk about it.
Subscribed to Mr. Hormozi’s channel about a year ago. I was SO PSYCHED when i saw this video pop up in my youtube subscriptions. THIS is now my favorite episode you’ve guys produced on this channel. Thanks for having him on, guys! It was awesome! Still looking forward to Mark Tilbury, if that’s still happening. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I ain't reading all that. @@ssj_shep
@@ssj_shep 💯
You missed the point but you are almost there.
"When you admit that you just want to be happy, then what happens is you create a deficit between your current reality and happiness. Which means it doesn't matter what happens because there will always be a happiness that is outside of yourself." Alex Hormozi. Brilliant.
One of the best interviews I've ever witnessed! So good! The chemistry is unparalleled! Gram you gotta bring Alex back on the show! Well done to all of you!
By far best podcast I’ve listened to in over a year. I loved the last portion - deep!
Wow this was the best episode yet. Great guest, lively and fluid conversation. More please.
This was a fantastic listen. With multiple businesses and a family, it's hard for me to make it through a podcast, let alone a 2-hour podcast. This one certainly caught my attention and held it throughout the entire listen. Love how deep into conversation this went. Good stuff guys!
This is my favorite podcast of all time period. From the buisness aspect to how views life it opened my eyes just tad bit more. Thanks Alex and thanks to the team for bringing this to me.
I'm 100% for a twice a week podcast! I need something in the middle of the week to listen to during work.
Towards the ending part of this interview almost brought me to tears. I was touched deep to my core. You have all my respect Alex!❤️💯
