Oh I'm going to use this pattern to make a table cloth. It looks very easy to do of course that's because of your very detailed instruction. Thank you Sherrell

Hi Patricia. Glad the 9 Patch quilt block tutorial was helpful. Here is the link on how to make sashing for a quilt: ua-cam.com/video/_ByKEVDZ-K8/v-deo.html Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
What size are the squares to begin with? Looks like 5 inch. Could i strip piece if i want to do a positive and negative effect blocks side by side? Do you have a video that shows strip piecing a 9 block?
Can you please give me suggestions as to how to layout a quilt that is using 5 square blocks that has one main patterned block with two other solid blocks. I am stumped on this. I am making a dog quilt for a very important person in my life who will give this quilt as a gift to someone. I have one fabric that has the dog type imagine on a block and am using two other solid colors as well. Please tell me if you need the measurements to give me any suggestions. I sincerely appreciate any help. Thank you.
Hi Betty. Are you using only 5 squares in the quilt, and are the all the same size? Are you trying to use the 9 patch quilt block pattern? I'm confused. I can't picture what you are trying to do. A quilt works best if all the blocks are the same size and you have the same number of squares in each row. All squares/blocks must be the same size in order for everything to fit together. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
@@TheSewingRoomChannel All my blocks are the same size - 5" squares. One fabric has an image of the dog on it. The other two colors in the squares are gray and white. I need to make the quilt big enough for this dog, so I have decided that I need to layout each roll with 7 blocks in it. Then on the second row, I of course want to make sure that the same color is not directly below the color in the first row. I can do this quite well when I am working with only two colors but somehow as having problems using three colors, I hope this is not so confusing the way I am explaining it. Actually, I do a very nice job in making these quilts and get a lot of compliments on them, so I want to make sure I do this one as well. I think what I need to do is this and you tell me if I am wrong. In the first row, in this order, I will start out with an image of the dog square, then solid gray, then solid white, the image of the dog, gray, then white, and then the image of the dog. That will give me 7 5" blocks in the first row. Then on the second row, do I start with the fabric I used in the last block of the first row, or do I start with using the fabric from #2 in the stack which would be the gray? I am limited to the space I have to lay this quilt out with and I am writing this from my computer in another room, while I am not looking at the fabrics. I hope this is not all too confusing. Although I might be a halfway decent quilter when it comes to making these kinds of quilts, apparently I lack the knowledge of quilter language on things that are done and exactly how to explain them. Thank you so much
Hi Vinu. It depends on the finished size that you want. Example: if you want a 9 patch block that has a 12 1/2" finished size, then cut 9 squares that are 4 1/2" square. Happy sewing.

I love your video. It is so simple, but very instructive. Love the fabric. Is it from a collection?
Hi Linda. Thanks for watching. I can't remember where I bought the fabric, but try Joanns Fabrics. Happy sewing.
