₹44,000/- miscellaneous was imposed on me & ₹10,000/- accident damage because I was alive. If I would have died, my family would have been forced to pay the same. And my actual trip cost was ₹3500/- insane loot to customers.
Dont worry about anything brother. I have faced a simillar situation back in 2016. I have a pending bill of 1.5lakhs since then and they have been warning me of legal proceedings since then. I haven't recieved any notice as of today i.e end of 2018. Great work for making this video and showing the public what ZOOMCAR is
What happened to me was, Firstly they change the car and provide you a shitty car. I booked a swift, on the day of my pick up, a executive called me and said that swift Is not available and they are changing the car to a Figo . I tried to talk to them, but no solution was found. If you are changing the car atleast upgrade the car rather than downgrading it, I was furious at that time but just for the sake of my trip I let it go. After that we took the Figo and went away. Everything was good but during the return from jaipur my car got punchered and we found that the jack was in a very bad condition and we were not able to lift the car to change the Tyre. Using the help from the locals we somehow managed to change the tyre after 1-2 hrs. And I was with a girl, fucked up at a place somewhere on an expressway, what if it was night time and what about our security. Okay till now somehow we continued. Now I reached the drop location and now the person inspecting the car found that one Tyre got punctured and we have changed the tyre so he pull out the punctured Tyre and starts inspecting it. I was there with him when he was inspecting we were with our flash lights inspecting the Tyre We found nothing. Now a person calls me from inside for the completion of other things like petrol bill and other stuffs . In that matter of time the tyre has been sent to the puncture shop attached with a shitty zoom car office and now he come with the tyre saying that the tyre has a very big puncture and it cannot be fixed. At that time i got fucked up totally fucked up. Now I was feeling like picking up something and smashing all the cars nearby. It was nothing but a totally planned execution in which I was fooled and was fooled in such a way that you cannot come out. We fucking left the place and I still don't use any self driven car service. Belive me its a trap. They give you the car in such a condition that it will breakdown and if it does break down in any way then they money will slip from your pocket. They charged me a whole Tyre that costs around 4000 rs. Sometime it's not about the money It's about the problems you face, security threats you face and many other things and after facing such things you charge the person extra, does that even make sense?

Hi in case you are going to take legal action can you make a page so that all the customers who have gone through this can unite and file a class action suite against the company. Individually you as a UA-camr have that power to unite the people. If you plan to do so count me in. All the expenses will be shared.
So this has been my experience too, for small minor scratches and repair they charge people 1-5k and case of major damage they charge 10k, worst part is they never get their cars repaired, I used their cars many times 50% of the time they had heating issues, AC wasn't working, type burst/puncture, steering issues, breaking issues ; in most of the cases people wont complain or reject the car because it may ruin their travel plan. But guys this company is playing with people's life; they should be screwed. Appreciate you buddy you are putting your time and money to go against them; I would certainly want them to suffer with what experience I had with them. We are all with you, if you need any help, even funds to stand up against them.
Go for some known driver owned vehicle (with yellow plate) in the neighbour hood instead going for such Corporate culture hiring. The oldschool way ...it will help them in earning their livelihood. Also they charge a little less for one way trips than round trip.

Go to consumer forum and launch the complaint. At least Indian government should know what is going on with N numbers of consumers. Consumer forums are very strict and prompt in service. Go for it. And please update Unity can make change

Booked a Zoomcar's i20! Went to the site, the car didn't start, waited for an hour and a half, then they asked me to travel to a location, another corner of the city!!! They said they will pay for cab fare but I didn't get any discount just an hour extra, which was useless as we have a curfew at night at our institute. Bro you are doing absolutely right. Inke upar to defemarion ka law suit bhi file karna chhaiye. Aur mental and physical harassment ka v. Kam se Kam 1cr ka to banta hi h(1% of the company wealth or $500000 whichever is greater). They should understand that they can't runaway from their deeds. Boss, if required you can ask for the service history of the Tata Hexa vehicle. That will tell you exactly when was the vehicle last serviced & engine oil changed. The engine having no oil must have been a major reason behind the breakdown. Good luck.

After watching both the videos I think the car needs a complete engine rebuild. In the first video , Be My Pillion mentioned that Check Engine Light and Low Oil Pressure light came up and then the car engine stopped (I think the engine seized). I believe that the Engine Oil Sump was somehow damaged and started leaking Engine Oil which lead to engine seizure. So obviously the user of the car has to be blamed for this. The next question is Who is the user ? Is it Be Me Pillion or the one who used before him ? A minor leak might have developed due to an under body hit by a previous user. When Be My Pillion took the car , though some amount of engine oil might have already leaked , it wasn't high enough for the sensors to throw up a warning. Over the course of his usage , the engine oil level might have dropped too low which led to engine seizure. Since Zoomcar haven't thoroughly inspected the car before giving it to Be My Pillion , this whole fiasco might have happened. The car in itself was delivered in a bad exterior and interior condition(without cleaning) and the Zoomcar executive checking the fluid levels was too much to ask. So who was to blame here ? Both Zoomcar and the user(it might or might not be Be My Pillion) who damaged the sump. The user is at fault for driving recklessly on bad roads and damaging the sump. Remember this is no hatch , this is a proper SUV and for it requires a lot of recklessness to get an under-body hit. The Zoomcar needs to be blamed for not inspecting the car thoroughly and not ensuring the car is in good shape. Also their road side assistance is crappy in this case as well. If the whole under body hit scenario is false , then the next big reason for engine seizure due to low engine oil is Turbocharger failure. The Turbo might be defective and it may have failed prematurely leading to engine oil getting burned via exhaust. This may have gradually led to low engine oil scenario and subsequently the engine seized. In this case Zoomcar is at fault for not ensuring that the car is mechanically sound before giving it to a customer and the poor customer has to suffer for no fault of his own. I think Zoomcar doesn't have a transparent and foul proof system that ensures that cars were always maintained in a good shape. They should be able to pin point any issue that comes up with any car at any time to the customer or manufacturer or themselves. But sadly they are blaming the customer even if there is a goof up on their side. This shouldn't be tolerated at any cost. Be My Pillion clearly isn't at fault if what he said was true. Zoomcar should be ashamed for treating a customer like that.
Makes sense. Also i think Customers should be allowed to look at the service history of the vehicle they will be getting, So that people will know what they are getting. I went through a lot of comment to see what issue most of the people are facing. Mostly they get charged if there's a puncture. And you get charged for a new Tyre (They charge 4-5k). I think Local People who run zoomcar are trying to cheat people by blaming such things. Inspection of the car is a big issue, as not everyone is as good as you to understand such detail about a car. ^^ Exactly my words. Though, I would like to elaborate a bit more that, there is no sensor for oil level, there is only sensor for oil pressure. And if you have a leak and you are losing oil, then only at the last dreaded moment (engine failure) will the light glow. Watch in the first video, Be My Pillion has shown oil puddle below the car, so, obviously the leak has started when the car was in the possession of Be My Pillion. Also, saying so since this happened on the return trip, not towards vizag. Not sure what happened, but, zoom car has to be blamed for handling the matter with immaturity.
I would suggest that you put this video and your thoughts on HVK ... It is one of the biggest (and sensible) automotive road travel community in India and they will for sure help you spread the word. I have see quite a few blogs pick up stories from there, so it could eventually help in reaching out to more people and putting this concern across them too.

Zoomcar charged me 5000/- for a car which had a small dent on the window. Which I by any chance had not done. I rented the Car from Chandigarh Railway Station. The guys who collect the car were very aggressive. I refused to pay the 5000/- they sent me a legal notice. Please stand up to this. Don't pay them anything. Let them cry.

Take my advice contact all the people who faced similar issue or are going thru it , then contact ur lawyer and tell him to draw up a class action suit, it seems like this company is pulling this shit with everyone, and one thing such companies have in common is that if they've done it with u they did it with someone else too. Second legal advice i wud give u is not to create a propaganda of fighting against the company bcoz u may not have that intention but if this thing goes to court which it will, everything or anything u say will be held against u by saying that u tried to defame their company hence a defamation suit heads ur way. ZoomCar Is the Worst App I had once booked a car from mumbao to pune and i got the car 4hours late in the worst condition And because oh which i reached my location 2hrs late for which they charged me 700 late and never refunded They promised me a refund while i was returning the car but never got it Also the fuel was not filled which was involved in my package
Exactly the same thing happened with me also. Like exactly same. Low oil pressure then towing the vehicle then 10,000/- but further I bursted to them and ask them to remove the charges otherwise I’ll file a law suit against the company. So they never called me again. But the amount of 10,000 is there till now.
That's good job dude. I recently booked car just four days back, by the time i go there, no one is available, But they have kept car key wrong one. What the Fish is that.I asked zoom car customer care ppl - if you are not able to provide car on time, you suppose to pay the money as you promised in add "we will pay if we don't provide car on time" - I got crazy answer we will take feedback and will pass on to the above people. But they are giving some 10% compensation for that. You know i am so kind and think about others. I said take that money with you and purchase some safety balloons and give it to your above ppl who are enjoying their life with our money by earning in illegal way.
I think you need to bring all the people who have suffered this atrocious misdeed by this company and jointly file a public petition...it will have more weightage to the case.

I'm faced the same problem, their instructions were unclear , and when I come back , they say , u need pay 8k more! I asked them I have not driven above the limit, but then they say u have driven more on daily basis , wtf !!!
I also faced a similar fraud. The car we booked, ford figo, broke down and smoke came out of the bonnet, we checked with a local mechanic and he said the radiator was leaking and engine got overheated, and when we complained for the same, zoomcar slapped a fine of ₹19000 saying we had damaged the clutch plate! These so called startups need to be exposed for what they really are... A gimmick to entice customers into looting them in the name of convinience!

Booked a Zoomcar's i20! Went to the site, the car didn't start, waited for an hour and a half, then they asked me to travel to a location, another corner of the city!!! They said they will pay for cab fare but I didn't get any discount just an hour extra, which was useless as we have a curfew at night at our institute. Nevertheless, contacting customer is another hell of an issue. Zoomcar@Indore.

Boss, if required you can ask for the service history of the Tata Hexa vehicle. That will tell you exactly when was the vehicle last serviced & engine oil changed. The engine having no oil must have been a major reason behind the breakdown. Good luck.

After watching both the videos I think the car needs a complete engine rebuild. In the first video , Be My Pillion mentioned that Check Engine Light and Low Oil Pressure light came up and then the car engine stopped (I think the engine seized). I believe that the Engine Oil Sump was somehow damaged and started leaking Engine Oil which lead to engine seizure. So obviously the user of the car has to be blamed for this. The next question is Who is the user ? Is it Be Me Pillion or the one who used before him ? A minor leak might have developed due to an under body hit by a previous user. When Be My Pillion took the car , though some amount of engine oil might have already leaked , it wasn't high enough for the sensors to throw up a warning. Over the course of his usage , the engine oil level might have dropped too low which led to engine seizure. Since Zoomcar haven't thoroughly inspected the car before giving it to Be My Pillion , this whole fiasco might have happened. The car in itself was delivered in a bad exterior and interior condition(without cleaning) and the Zoomcar executive checking the fluid levels was too much to ask. So who was to blame here ? Both Zoomcar and the user(it might or might not be Be My Pillion) who damaged the sump. The user is at fault for driving recklessly on bad roads and damaging the sump. Remember this is no hatch , this is a proper SUV and for it requires a lot of recklessness to get an under-body hit. The Zoomcar needs to be blamed for not inspecting the car thoroughly and not ensuring the car is in good shape. Also their road side assistance is crappy in this case as well.
If the whole under body hit scenario is false , then the next big reason for engine seizure due to low engine oil is Turbocharger failure. The Turbo might be defective and it may have failed prematurely leading to engine oil getting burned via exhaust. This may have gradually led to low engine oil scenario and subsequently the engine seized. In this case Zoomcar is at fault for not ensuring that the car is mechanically sound before giving it to a customer and the poor customer has to suffer for no fault of his own.
I think Zoomcar doesn't have a transparent and foul proof system that ensures that cars were always maintained in a good shape. They should be able to pin point any issue that comes up with any car at any time to the customer or manufacturer or themselves. But sadly they are blaming the customer even if there is a goof up on their side. This shouldn't be tolerated at any cost. Be My Pillion clearly isn't at fault if what he said was true. Zoomcar should be ashamed for treating a customer like that.

Also i think Customers should be allowed to look at the service history of the vehicle they will be getting, So that people will know what they are getting. I went through a lot of comment to see what issue most of the people are facing. Mostly they get charged if there's a puncture. And you get charged for a new Tyre (They charge 4-5k). I think Local People who run zoomcar are trying to cheat people by blaming such things.
Inspection of the car is a big issue, as not everyone is as good as you to understand such detail about a car. Anyways Peace man.

^^ Exactly my words. Though, I would like to elaborate a bit more that, there is no sensor for oil level, there is only sensor for oil pressure. And if you have a leak and you are losing oil, then only at the last dreaded moment (engine failure) will the light glow.
Watch in the first video, Be My Pillion has shown oil puddle below the car, so, obviously the leak has started when the car was in the possession of Be My Pillion. Also, saying so since this happened on the return trip, not towards vizag. Not sure what happened, but, zoom car has to be blamed for handling the matter with immaturity.
I would suggest that you put this video and your thoughts on HVK ... It is one of the biggest (and sensible) automotive road travel community in India and they will for sure help you spread the word. I have see quite a few blogs pick up stories from there, so it could eventually help in reaching out to more people and putting this concern across them too.

Zoomcar charged me 5000/- for a car which had a small dent on the window. Which I by any chance had not done. I rented the Car from Chandigarh Railway Station. The guys who collect the car were very aggressive. I refused to pay the 5000/- they sent me a legal notice. Please stand up to this. Don't pay them anything. Let them cry.

Take my advice contact all the people who faced similar issue or are going thru it , then contact ur lawyer and tell him to draw up a class action suit, it seems like this company is pulling this shit with everyone, and one thing such companies have in common is that if they've done it with u they did it with someone else too.
Second legal advice i wud give u is not to create a propaganda of fighting against the company bcoz u may not have that intention but if this thing goes to court which it will, everything or anything u say will be held against u by saying that u tried to defame their company hence a defamation suit heads ur way.

@@maddyx3711 thats not how a defamation suit works , its a countersuit , which makes these proofs inadmissible in the court of law , proof has nothing to do with it, it just needs evidence of using a companies name while talking shit about it or spreading propaganda against it, whether u have been affected by something bcoz of the company or not u cannot defame it publicly , bcoz u dont speak for the people and people have the right to choose and decide on their own, u can spread information that this happened with u but when he used the specific term "spread this all over the internet, share it on all platforms" , well thats spreading propaganda and that makes him look like a shakedown artist which corporations dont envy and neither do judges.if they even depose him he will realise how big corporate lawyers use everything against u , law has many loop holes u just need to find them , recently another ytuber was sued by an engineering institution when he didnt even use their name specifically, in the end he had to remove his video or face legal action. when he did have proof of what he was saying yet he had to remove bcoz they sent him a legal letter highlight ing every word he said and manipulating it , which lawyers are expert at. its not about proof its about how u present it.

And because oh which i reached my location 2hrs late for which they charged me 700 late and never refunded
They promised me a refund while i was returning the car but never got it
Also the fuel was not filled which was involved in my package

Exactly the same thing happened with me also. Like exactly same. Low oil pressure then towing the vehicle then 10,000/- but further I bursted to them and ask them to remove the charges otherwise I’ll file a law suit against the company. So they never called me again. But the amount of 10,000 is there till now.

That's good job dude. I recently booked car just four days back, by the time i go there, no one is available, But they have kept car key wrong one. What the Fish is that.I asked zoom car customer care ppl - if you are not able to provide car on time, you suppose to pay the money as you promised in add "we will pay if we don't provide car on time" - I got crazy answer we will take feedback and will pass on to the above people. But they are giving some 10% compensation for that. You know i am so kind and think about others. I said take that money with you and purchase some safety balloons and give it to your above ppl who are enjoying their life with our money by earning in illegal way.

I also faced a similar fraud. The car we booked, ford figo, broke down and smoke came out of the bonnet, we checked with a local mechanic and he said the radiator was leaking and engine got overheated, and when we complained for the same, zoomcar slapped a fine of ₹19000 saying we had damaged the clutch plate! These so called startups need to be exposed for what they really are... A gimmick to entice customers into looting them in the name of convinience!
