Long-standing tradition: UC Davis Picnic Day attracts thousands after two-year pandemic pause

The famous UC Davis Picnic Day attracted tens of thousands of people to Davis on Saturday after a two-year pandemic pause. The student-run tradition is 108 years in the making and it all started when UC Davis was called University Farm. It started in 1909 to showcase the university's new dairy barn. But now, it's a way for the university to showcase its world-class research and unique programs, all while connecting the university with the community.
