Your points are valid. However you compare individual units, where now we are in a place in the game where we create dedicated parties. For example, a Tifa/Vince couple works wonders, Tifa having the Bahamut + Monster Hunter claws, Bahamut buffing the team for matk up, Vince going ham and carrying White Dog in main slot for 6 stacks or something like S1976 for aoe debuffs. So, the one to one comparison isn’t what we are looking for. As for physical vs magical, we, unfortunately need both. Enemies have now mdef or pdef the scale of 300, 500 or even 1000 depending on the fight so some fights require physical or magical and almost ignore the other. As for sigil, sigils usually pair with elements, and triangle is the most common for dealing with weak to Lightning enemies ;) PS: there is no “saving”, period. There is playing F2P and only pulling on generic stuff and limited banners or go whale and strategise week to week for beating crash/ranking and top 10 things…. Unless you want to beat “solo crash” content and rank top 10x EVERY other content at some point you will clear. The “in between” is just spending money and still play second fiddle. ;) You have seen our guild fights, or ranking fights, etc… you know perfectly well what I mean.
Always enjoy listening to everyone's method of how much to spend. This is my first ever Gacha game. Did it for the Glen lore and been loving it since release. I was free to play till Vincent came out. I told myself every 50 to 100 hours I play this. I'll spend 50-100$ (essentially price of a full game playthrough) is how I tend to control myself lol
That’s a very good way of taking it! I think in this game if you spend 100$ you really need to wait until anniversaries or crossover or things like that, so that you make the most out of that investment, and unfortunately, this kind of gacha are pretty wild and predatory, so 100$ is barely nothing (most gacha are that predatory) I think this deserves a whole conversation by itself! I disagree with comparing to limited weapons. The problem with "if you have" with limited weapons is that in practice it has to mean if you have at OB9 or 10 right now. Non-limited weapons will eventually get to OB10, but their value is hurt massively by lack of their synergy costume. Right now there is a massive lack of good lightning weapons which are not limited, IMO skipping this banner entirely would be a huge mistake for most players. Pull to the Vincent costume. The case where some one has OB10 Kirin Gloves, or to a lesser extent Zinogre Blade (mag vs. phys) is the exception not the norm. I think I made a similar post when the advice was to skip fire Tifa due to Stream Guard. I pulled to costume, banner ended with Shell Knuckles at OB0 for me. But I wish listed Shell Knuckles and during anniversary they hit OB10. I currently have Stream Guard at OB7 after second run and some lucky pulls, but Shell Knuckles have ended up being way higher value, even if I get the chance to OB10 Stream Guard in the future (probably if it is run a third time) it is still pretty niche when it has a a real advantage over Shell Knuckles. The main reason to use it, is to use both. That is pretty much the situation we will end up in with in the next few months for lightning, with Crow Familiar being the most practical top tier lightning weapon for most players. This being the pattern for anyone but whales, limited elemental weapons are the real easy skip. The only limited weapons that will get value are utility ones which are good at OB1 and great and OB6.
Creo que la estrategia "ideal" como F2P es cubrir con al menos UN personaje,los siguientes roles: 1- Healer (Matt o Aerith) con curas,buffs y debuffs variados. Sirve para todo el contenido del juego 2- DPS Non-ele,si puede ser híbrido AoE/Single mejor, como Cloud con 1st anni ,o Seph 1/2 anni. Sirve para content outdated,cactilios, rápido y simples (o non-ele) batallas. 3- Focused debuffer/buffer (Barret,Nanaki,Tifa,etc). La opción genérica más segura es Tifa porque tiene más armas que nadie,es fan-favourite, su primer límite sigue siendo buenísimo,y puede hacer buen/main dps que siempre se agradece en cualquier batalla. En "end-game" content ahora mismo es prácticamente obligatorio aplicarse o bien Mdef/Pdef HIGH (en 1 uso,osea OB6 normalmente) o spamear reducción elemental (que para eso Tifa apesta) por lo que hay que rotar buffer/debuffer dependiendo de lo que tengas Y de el acceso a opciones(armas) que tenga cada personaje. 4- UNA opción elemental buena, tanto física como mágica, para cada elemento (da igual el personaje). La vulnerabilidad elemental es prácticamente obligatoria contra summons o end game, y desgraciadamente muchos enemigos no les basta traer por ejemplo "elemento hielo" sino que tiene que ser específicamente "hielo físico". Lo bueno es que con suficientes buffs,no necesitas tener 3, ni 2 siquiera DPS en el equipo. A poder ser obtener combo Arcanum+pure DPS para esos personajes. Da igual los personajes porque son muchos elementos y no los van a sacar todos en el mismo personaje (Cloud tiene acceso a muchísimos elementos,pero en su mayoría son Físicos, por lo que para mágicos tienes que cambiarlo). Aquí ya ni iría a por "personajes favoritos" sino a lo que directamente sea lo mejor en base a lo que te vaya saliendo (a OB6 ya es útil para endgame) porque, aunque daba la ILUSIÓN de que cuando el juego era nuevo,todo personaje iba a poder hacer de todo (Y en parte sigue siendo así) , buena suerte usando a Cloud en contenido mágico de Tierra porque no tiene ni un arma para eso (que yo sepa,al menos de las de pago/buenas). Desgraciadamente este cuarto punto es el que más fluctúa entre suerte,lo que decidan los devs poner,y la velocidad a la que vaya el powercreep. Si siempre quieres tener "la mejor opción" en X elemento, como F2P no es viable,por lo que busca un combo (el traje es importante) que o bien te guste o bien necesites por el contenido de ese momento,y cuando lo tengas (Arcanum + OB6 dps) hazte a la idea que usarás a ese personaje durante meses,posiblemente años, y aunque se puede hacer aburrido por llevar siempre lo mismo,al menos será efectivo por muchísimo tiempo.
Vincent is the herald of the Guild battle so I'm pretty sure you want his weapon and say at least OB 6 of caits new weapon to be effective whenever they drop the magic lightning boss, it will probably be like wind boss that needed the floral wand ob6 to be most effective. Honestly Ob1 is good enough for f2ps just pulling for the costume and the fact that this is not limited just makes it so much better than kirin. Cait is so close to becoming a top tier unit with his ultimate he just melts sigil phases if he only had a diamond sigil he would be a strong competitor to replace red in most fights I think cait is someone to keep slowly building overtime if you have the ultimate

I think in this game if you spend 100$ you really need to wait until anniversaries or crossover or things like that, so that you make the most out of that investment, and unfortunately, this kind of gacha are pretty wild and predatory, so 100$ is barely nothing (most gacha are that predatory)
