I had the 11.5" tint with my stock seat for a year. Just changed/upgraded/rebuilt my seat and I just ordered the 8.5 tint a few hours ago. I ride a '18 Electra glide ultra classic with 34k miles on it. This windshield is great, it stops the wind beating my shoulders and in the rain it is easy to see the airflow around you and the passenger. I ride a lot of interstate miles here in Nevada and it really does eliminate the fatigue.

My 17 Roadglide Ultra stock I think is taller than the specials stock?? I put 11000 miles on it in 4 months. No issues for me, but I had nothing to compare it with also. I definitely dig the looks of the Klockworks. Will have to look into them. 👍
I put one on a 2021 Road Glide today. Haven't gotten to tey it yet. Next I need to find a kit to close the vents. Yhe newer fairing vents do have closures.
I Will say as a bearded biker it definitely changed the way the beard blows... now any wind I get comes from under the fairing upwards.. so it has changed the way my beard blows.. i bought the little fork deflectors to see if that would help but i didnt notice much difference. Atleast not in the way it blows the beard!! All in all, Huge improvement from the Stock Shield!!
So what you’re saying is this past spring my run from Tuscaloosa to Amarillo would’ve been more enjoyable had I slipped on the Klockwerx large sport flair versus my stock road glide special windshield 🤟😎
Run the 14” Klockwerks on my 19 RGS and love it. I’m 6’3” and hate feeling like a GD bobble head running down the road. Like these MUCH better than the HD crap.
Wondering if your running stock bars or taller?? I've heard with taller bars you can run into not being able to get your bars turned all the way left to lock your forks because the bars hit the shield. Thanks for the info.
If your bars are pushed forward they will hit. Burt currently has 12's on his road glide, they will hit at full lock. I have 14 inch Klockwerks on my road glide and have them positioned so at full lock they are very close. Hope this helps - George

Should wear them more often. Been a little different this year with the sena ear pads though. Not as bad. Should of worn them on the trip to texas. Had ringing in my ears for a couple days. 👎🏻

I planned to wear them this past season for long rides, but then we got the Sena coms.. the ear flaps do help.. but also I found that using ear plugs with the ear flaps pressing against my ears actually started hurting over time. I did it for one leg of the Texas trip but just couldnt deal with it!! Ill have to explore some different plugs!
@@dabeard_ I have custom earplugs... A life saver! They fit perfectly, obviously, but they also sit flush with my ear canal... No conflict between the comm system and the ear plugs. Not super cheap, but handwashable, I've had them for years... Won't ride without them... Amazing how much less fatigue without all the noise, too.
+miguel xorrea night visibility is not affected by the windshield as you should be looking over it, honestly I haven’t noticed any difference in the down force, I’m sure at very high speeds there is.
Personally, I think for a $200+ windshield, Klock Werks needs to step up their game. They only have 4 "real" options for true wind protection for the RG. According to the way they recommend measuring for a windshield, I need a 11" windshield. But they DON'T offer a 11" option!
Honestly Jim, we've been real happy with quality of the windshield. The Beauty of a free market is there are a number of products out there Memphis shades makes a 10.5" or 11.5" for a lesser price, and Harley makes a 9" and 15". Meanwhile clockworks makes 6", 9", 14" in sport flare, and 12" and 15" in pro touring flare. The most important thing with any of these windshields is to make sure you're looking over them and not through them.
Not the way Burt has his Spooky Fast 12 inch bars positioned, they will hit the windshield at full lock, but if they were pulled back a bit it would be fine. Hope that helps!
Gerald Paul, so the way my bars are set up, when I go Full turn, the bars just touch the shield.. however with the slightest adjustment back, they would not touch.. I just haven't made the adjustment because it has never been an issue.. I plan to get new bars this season and when I do I will adjust them accordingly so there is No touching! Hope that helps! So am I correct in understanding that if I had the touring shield I would have no problem with 16in bars?? I'm ordering factory 47 16inch and absolutely love the kw shield but this is my first time putting one on a roadglide, im just tryin to get answers so I don't have to go through all the return policy crap. I’m sorry fellas but this windshield SUCKS. Way to much buffering on the sides. Your passenger feels it the most, try a freedom shields and you will never go back.

it is May 2020 I went to test ride a 2020 road glide I agree its a total different ball game compared to the dyna low rider

Yeah John, less buffeting means less fatigue . Stock windshields are about as useful as stock suspensions

If your bars are pushed forward they will hit. Burt currently has 12's on his road glide, they will hit at full lock. I have 14 inch Klockwerks on my road glide and have them positioned so at full lock they are very close. Hope this helps - George

It's OK. I have that windshield in 14 inch and I still get a ton of wind. I'm going to try long ride shields
