Awesome! I love blued steel and leather. You did a real nice job on the ejection port flare. The K frame rear sight is really going to be a cool retro addition! Really liking your videos JC!

Thank you very much for the kind words! Leather is only way in my opinion. Hard to beat quality gunleather!

You can’t beat the Pachmayr grips for that retro look. I have the same grips on my Springfield Mil Spec. I also put a flat checkered main spring housing with lanyard loop on. My end goal is to make a clone of the 1985 MEUSOC M45.

    Hey JC,
I caught up on your combat class video and this one together and will make one comment for both.
Good job on the class. You learned well enough to give great instructions.
Your 1911 is really coming along fine. It looks great. The ejection port came out really well. Did you cold blue to touch up? Very nice. I really like the hammer a lot. Anxious to see how that sight turns out. I remember well seeing all of the write ups everyone was doing on Armon Swansons guns with tons of pictures. He was a true innovator. His work carries over to this day obviously.
I put a flat 20 lip mainspring hammer in my Springfield. Very happy with that.
Both of your videos are terrific.

Thank you for the kind words! Yes for now I touched up all the dehorning and the ejection port with 44/40 cold blue. I’m still debating which direction I will got for final finish. Thanks for the comment!
