I listened to the music samples you provided on this video and the PX8's. This is a very helpful feature as many stores do not carry both and you cannot A/B them. Thank you so much for including this in your review. I do understand that UA-cam compresses things and it sound better in person. However as both are going through the same UA-cam compression, I like the Bathys sound better. It has a more refined sound over the PX8. One reviewer said on the PX8, he hears more compression on the top end and the bass is boosted a little too much for his taste. From your samples, I think the PX8 and Bathys are fine and a lot has to do with personal preference. However I prefer the Bathys, though I am sure on some music, that laid back sound is not the best character and the PX8 may be a better choice. But I don't care when the music is pushed forward which it appears the PX8 does to some degree. I also have the Focal Aria 926 in my stereo and have the Focal Clear MG's. So my tastes does go towards the character of Focal.
I’ve been using the Bathys more often than usual lately as well. I love how the music sounds natural without anything being boosted. The highs, mids, and lows just compliment each other. I’ll be doing a video comparing the Bathys to the PX8 directly very soon. I’m still getting settled in from a move and should have the studio area back in tack to get going again. Let me know what you think if you get a chance to watch that video! I appreciate all your support!

@Shawn Grand I have not forgot about you… I got in late, but will check on this and get you an answer tomorrow. I have a feeling I know which pair to recommend, but I want to be sure…
I’m a bass head that wants to step up to the “hifi” category of headphones. Would you say that the Sennheiser Momentum 4s fit that description? I want as much bass as I can get without compromising anything else. These Focals are amazing but I think they’re more technical than what I need.
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! If you’re looking for HiFi wireless Bluetooth headphones with bass and willing to spend a little to get some of the best. I would recommend the Mark Levinson No 5909 ($1,000 U.S. dollars) or the Bowers & Wilkins PX8 ($700 U.S. dollars). I have a video on the Momentum 4 headphones and they have a lot of bass as well. They also come with a decent amount of features. Check out the video, I break the headphones down just like I do in this video. The Mark Levinson has the bass enhanced mode that makes bassy tracks hit hard, without sounding bloated or muddy. The bass is the only portion you can adjust with the 5909, but the mids sound natural and the highs are a tad bit bright, but not too bright. You can clearly hear everything in the track with the 5909. I have a video comparing the 5909 to the AirPods Max on the channel for samples. I also plan to release a 5909 vs Bathys headphones video soon and work on the PX8 as well. The PX8 allow you to adjust the highs and lows, but not the mids (2 band EQ). The headphones sound good as well, but the bass is cleaner with the 5909. I should have videos up soon with both, but I have samples of the 5909 on the channel vs the AirPods Max. I hope this helps!
@@_DST0NE_ I’ve been working on the Bathys vs ML 5909 video, but the PX8 is coming not too long after. I appreciate your support, I’ll have it out soon.
Thanks for taking the time to watch. The Bathys headphones have a pretty wide soundstage. This is one of the reasons I love these headphones. These are definitely one of the better wireless Bluetooth headphones. The headphones have their cons, but the pros are just great! I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts!
@@DelonteM Thank you for the response man. I'm not really into their overall aesthetic, I much preffer the Classy look of B&O or the LIkes of B&W. That's why I'll pass on those, however it's great to see FOCAL stepping in this BT game. The more competition the better for the consumer :)
@@Icecold_Art No problem at all! I agree, the more competition the better. The PX8 headphones review will be coming soon, it’s really nice to see companies like Mark Levinson and Focal get into the wireless Bluetooth headphone space! Hopefully the prices get more competitive with their later releases…
Great video! I have owned several focal headphones and my favorite has always been the focal radiance however I grew out of it and moved on to other headphones. At $800 before tax and shipping with mediocre noise canceling these are not worth that price. Bluetooth headphones have yet to reach the place where they sound better than wired balanced headphones so $800 is too expensive for what we are getting which is a reputable name with decent sound but not truly worth the money. It seems like focal is banking on the Bluetooth headphone demographic not being that aware of the great difference between wired headphones and Bluetooth headphones, they are probably good sounding headphones since focal makes some very good sounding headphones but they inherit the Bluetooth lack of capability to produce the quality sound that wired headphones do. In my opinion it's hard to beat the momentum 4 for the price and sound quality Plus they have decent ANC.
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! You raise a few good points here. I agree, wired headphones still have a better overall sound. I think Focal and others are starting to see a boom in wireless Bluetooth headphones and want to get their feet in it as well. The Sennheiser Momentum 4 and the Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2 are great headphones at a lower price point that will serve most people well. Wireless Bluetooth headphones are new for companies like Mark Levinson and Focal, so I’m hoping to see the price go down on them in the future, once things are business as usual. $800 is a lot for wireless Bluetooth headphones, especially when the technology will get old and outdated very soon. Wired headphones have a very long life compared to wireless Bluetooth headphones. I own wired headphones from Sennheiser, Focal, HifiMan, and etc. with no worries as to when they will be outdated. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts!
Listening to this with my Stellea. I know it’s ridiculous comparing two pairs of headphones in these price categories but the sound demo of these headphones sounds terrible even considering UA-cam compression. It’s a shame because I was considering purchasing these as a Bluetooth portable pair to replace using my Stellea but that will absolutely not be happening haha
@@attomicrooster7823 Thanks for taking the time to watch! The compression does lower the quality… The Focal Stellia sounds better than the Bathys. The Focal Celestee sounds better as well in my opinion, but the Bathys are pretty good on the go. I’ll be releasing a video comparing the Bathys to the Mark Levinson 5909 very soon. These are both high end wireless Bluetooth headphones, that go about sound in different ways. Let me know what you think if you get a chance!
You could try the newly released Audio Technica M50x-BT2 which is far cheaper..better treble accuracy, better mid accuracy, more soundstage at just 200 dollars Or you could get these for a “slight” more bass accuracy (which focal bathys beats audio techinca for 800 dollars )

LDAC provides up to 24 bit 96kHz hi-res audio, but aptX Adaptive offers up to 24 bit 48 kHz and low latency for videos and gaming as well.
@@DelonteM sweet man.. I’ve been looking at the Px8 also. Can’t wait to see your comparison when it drops.
@@_DST0NE_ I’ve been working on the Bathys vs ML 5909 video, but the PX8 is coming not too long after. I appreciate your support, I’ll have it out soon.
A microphone review as well. Thank you!!
No problem at all. I try to give you all what I would want to know about in a pair of headphones. I appreciate you taking the time to watch!
Wow, the sound samples were very revealing. Sounded almost like an open back. Very spacious.
I Liked The Transparency Mode
Yea, the transparency mode is solid!
Can you tell me what model wat h your wearing please
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! This is the Apple Watch Ultra.
@@DelonteM great vid , I have the focal headphones and love them , like the watch very much too keep up the good work
@@pauljordan3828 Thanks, the Apple Watch Ultra has been great. Definitely worth the price, even though I don’t use the watch to its full potential…
You could try the newly released Audio Technica M50x-BT2 which is far cheaper..better treble accuracy, better mid accuracy, more soundstage at just 200 dollars
Or you could get these for a “slight” more bass accuracy (which focal bathys beats audio techinca for 800 dollars )
Welcome back! I may have to try the Audio Technical M50x-BT2 headphones. Thanks for the recommendation!
Shame they don't support any of the more higher end bluetooth codecs.
Thanks for taking the time to watch! aptX Adaptive is onboard these headphones. LDAC provides up to 24 bit 96kHz hi-res audio, but aptX Adaptive offers up to 24 bit 48 kHz and low latency for videos and gaming as well. LDAC provides a higher sample rate, but the versatility of aptX Adaptive’s scaling and low latency for gaming is really good as well. It really depends on what the user is looking for. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts!
You Said Get A Good Pair Of Headphones Ready For Soj.d Test So My SoundCore Q45s For At The Ready Sir
Thanks for taking the time to watch! I did a shorts video on the Soundcore Q45 headphones… Full review coming soon. Those headphones are a great value for the money!
@@DelonteM Yes They Are My Friend And Better Build , Looks & Sound Than The Ultra Cheap XM5 Which Aside From The ANC Are A Total Disappointment To Me .

SoundCore Space Q45 My Take
For Wired Passive Listening I'm Using ZFold3 To Hidizs S9 Pro DAC AMP DONGLE To Space Q45 And WOW AweSomeNess PerSoNiFied .
The Q45 ANC is really good SoundCores best yet Right Up There With My XM3s .
The Space Q45 sound while punchy is not as punchy as the Soundcore Life Q35 In The Bass Department .
The Bass Up Feature can't currently be used with Custom EQs So it's Pointless for my Uses Because I Use My Own In App Custom EQs .
We Can Listen To These Wired Passively (Powered Off) And The Q45s Sound Absolutely Amazing This Way .
The LDAC Sounds Really Good And Gives Wired Listening A Run For It's Money .
We Lose Some Features Of The Life Q35 With The Space Q45 . Hopefully A Firmware Update(s) Will Give These Lost Functions To The Q45 . The Q45s Are Heavier With Much Less Cushioning On The Top Where As The Q35 Are Lighter With More Cushioning On Top So Comfort Goes To Q35 . I've Never Had Any Pain To To Top Of My Head Though Despite The Q45 Having Less Cushioning So No Complaints There .
Both Q35 And Q45 Have Excellent Sound With The Q45 Punching Hard And The Q35 Punching Harder .
I Enjoy Them Both . Amazon Had Q35 111 Dollars With Discounts And Q45 129 dollars With Discounts . Not Sure If Discounts Still Active Now But $149.00 For Q45 Is Still A Bargain For Such An AweSomeNess PerSoNiFied Headphone .
You Can Turn Up The Q45s Bass Using Custom EQs But Nothing I've Done Has Made The Q45s As Punchy As The Q35s .
For Most I Think You'll Be More Than Happy With The Q45s Bass . I Know I Am .

To me it does not worth so high price. I mean peice for BT headphones. Even B&W PX8 is overpriced.
Welcome back! That is something to think about…Bluetooth technology is always advancing, whereas the Focal wired headphones will be relevant for years to come. The Focal Celestee are a great pair of wired headphones that cost $1,000, but they will be relevant for a very long time. Thanks for taking the time to watch and I appreciate your support!
They don't sound 800$ good.. I bought a pair My Sony xm4/ Stax/ & beats sounds better please tell ppl the truth.. I return them.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and sharing your experience with the headphones! How good a certain pair of headphones are really depends on what you are looking for in a pair of headphones. I said in the video, the Bathys headphones are not for people who want a lot of bass and tried to give a decent description of the sound. The Bathys is not for everyone and I appreciate you making that point.
