Really enjoyed the video. Interesting mystery about the service mark. I love to see those in old watches, it gives me a sense of history. Wouldn't mind if the tradition remained tbh.
I really like the view that shows the 3D aspect of the movement. Most videos are directly above the work, making it look flat. Seeing the layers is super fresh and super nice!
Great video. The short intro video is a good idea. That movement has a strange system for the crown wheels. The watch turned out great. Enjoyed watching. Thanks for the video.
Fantastic video! Enjoy watching you work on a different movement. I did enjoy your Bob Ross video. Getting into relaxing vibes. Yes, please do intros. Thank you!
Fantastic! About the coming up intro, as far as I am concerned, I will watch everything you upload anyway, so it won't make that big of a difference, to me at least. Brilliant result, the 0168 isn't the most atractive Genève out there but this particular one, dial and bracelet, is really fresh. Good job, Mat!
Hey Matt, great job once again. I kinda dig that 18 sec intro, the backing music was super fresh too; if it's easy to do then I vote keep doing it. If it's so cold where you are you can join me here in sunny Joburg, a balmy 31C during the day, jump in the pool when it gets a touch hot and beer in the fridge for days. Getting tools and spares is a bitch though, a bunch of us club together for a monthly buy from Cousins!
Damn HB! That Omega came out !😎 Channel keeps on getting better my dude, and that's cool you found a staking set in such good condition -- they most certainly have become crazy, but let's hope you're correct and prices come down as more people go back to work.
Nice result. Thanks for pointing out the 3rd wheel cannon pinion, which was interesting. Love the “appearance” of Morgan Freeman from time to time. How did that come about? Take care.
Ahh Horology Bob Rossogy 😉 couldn't believe he was on the box in the early hours the other night , i simply had to watch .. hmm yeah. dude that Fro was made for you. The watch ... niiice , surprised you didn't bring in the rate a bit but great results all round.
haha thanks Ted. I never finalise the regulation until at least 24 hours later as I want time for the oils to settle etc. This was just straight from the bench. You usually find the amplitude even increases as well a little once the oils have settled which it did also with this Omega. 💪
Thanks Matt. For reference the green stuff from the supermarket is approximately 300 grit. As to shorts and intros, they are the same for me, a total pain in the arse, I for one wouldn’t like them spamming my UA-cam feed. I hope, as you said, watchmakers tool’s will come back down in price on eBay et al, it has become ridiculous now.
Enjoyed the video very much, especially the fact that you verbally narrate what you're doing and why. I'm not very fond of the videos of watch makers that just put text on the screen and don't say a word. It's not very professional in my opinion. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Another great video! Super sweet! Just wondered...does every movement have the original ETA code on it? I just wondering how you know, for example, if ordering a new main spring, which spring to order?
Thanks :) Regarding that most movement will have a ref number on them. You can then search info on that movement to find out what the right spring is. In most cases the spring will be advertised for sale as for that cal. If you cannot find one like that then the other way is to search the info on what the measurements are of the spring then use a mainspring seller site where they sell via different sizes etc. So I basically just order the right length. eg 12 x 0.12 x 330 👍

I’m not here to talk about the great watchmaking on display, but I’m here to talk about that magnificent beard. Wow.
Haha thanks mate, I’ll save you some cuttings next time I trim 💪🏻💪🏻😂
Really enjoyed the video. Interesting mystery about the service mark. I love to see those in old watches, it gives me a sense of history. Wouldn't mind if the tradition remained tbh.
Glad you enjoyed it

Well it's only going to get better as I have some new tech in the post 💪
At this rate you should become a member 😱
Great video. The short intro video is a good idea.
That movement has a strange system for the crown wheels. The watch turned out great. Enjoyed watching. Thanks for the video.
Cheers Darryll, I think I will continue with them 💪🏻
So interesting. Really good commentary and information. Thank you. Your video content is excellent. Good transitions and matching the work system.
Thanks as always Ross.

Thanks Brenna, appreciated 👍🏻👍🏻

Appreciated Marvin,
I was juiced over the dial, chocolate goodness in all it's glory, hidden behind that damaged crystal.

I’m jealous Alan, but at least when summer comes here you’ll be going into winter 😂

Thanks Turbo, I'm always happy to see your comments 😀
@@HorologyBiology 😀 Thanks HB. BTW the pusher on the Speedy Mark II un-stuck itself 😮💨😅.
@@awdturbopowah773 Magic pusher skills
Love watching the master at work, glad you didn’t over polish to pristine condition tends to look fake when it’s done, in my opinion
I am very very far from a master come on! 😂 I agree with you about the case, it would be terrible to make it look like new 😱
@@HorologyBiology ok master is maestro better?
😂😂
Super beautiful time piece.
Thank you very much! These Omegas are super nice for sure. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Hi "Bobb", great video as always..thanks for sharing m8
hahha thanks Pipo, glad you enjoyed 👍
Super nice Matt great work as always keep well and warm from NZ it’s hot and humid Downunder
Cheers Bruce. I want some humid goodness 😩

Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed.
Quite simply Morgan Freeman is a legend 😂
Very interesting video. I have an Omega Geneve reference # 166.0164 that needs major love like you showed this one.
Thanks for stopping by. Nice to hear you have a very similar one. You need to fix it up for sure if it needs TLC
I've just inherited one of these. Crysyal is cracked and the rubber perished. This is a useful video right now

Cheers Tom 👍🏻👍🏻 I actually meant more at the beginning of the actual video like on this one. I didn’t realise shorts get notifications sent 😳
Reason the guy maybe had Tissot braclet on the watch as the 166.0168 came on a leather band... great video!

Thanks Ron, that’s really appreciated. I do like to put extra effort into the videos so it’s nice to receive some positive feedback 🙏🏻
Hi, I just subscribed. Really interesting history with the bracelet…
Awesome, thank you!
Also, I would like to see a "coming up" intro. to future videos.

@@HorologyBiology very useful! Thanks!
What magnification is that lens?
X3 lens
Do you find yourself using that more than the loupes?
@@jeremyshaw8568I use it only for basic strip down and reassemble. Anything more detailed and a loupe is needed 100%
What kind of magnifie glass are you using. Are you Dutch?
It's an old one I don't use anymore. Just a x3 with an led light on it. Works well. I'm not Dutch but live in NL
@@HorologyBiology I thought I heard a Dutch accent, Danes have the same. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Can I send my Omega Geneve to you for service? Running fast and glass scratched.
Feel free to email me about this
Thanks but I found a watchmaker here. 😊
Into clip is good. Just didn't like the music. Sounds too much like moaning breathing 🤪. The rest was fine good work.
Thanks for the feedback Richard, super appreciated 👍🏻👍🏻
UA-cam shorts are not fresh and I wish they would go away.
They certainly don't do any favours for me
