State of origin was originally an AFL concept ..1977 and WA flogged Victoria..the Vic's couldn't handle that and changed the rules so they couldn't lose from then on and killed the origin series ..now NRL has capitalised on it and made it successful..dont ever let the clubs have power to hold star players from the opposition state because that's what killed origin in AFL..the Vic clubs suddenly wouldn't release star WA players to play for WA and SA also ,thus ensuring Vic always stayed stronger ...fkn cheats the Vics
