- Thieves ransacked a South Los Angeles elementary school over the weekend, marking the sixth time the school has been targeted in the last four months, creating an enormous challenge for students, teachers and administrators.

I remember when an Elementary in my area was broken into and they used to have an aquarium that everyone loved. All of the fish were killed and the class looked like a warzone with paint splattered all over the room, top to bottom.

2:02 this cost $115,000 property damages where the heck is a security per 24 hours and the law-enforcement nearby. The campus taking care of the community of the students educational.

@@BIGGROBB112IDGAF Not really, the corruption is systemic at LAUSD. There are literally thousands of ghost positions at LAUSD that are embezzling taxpayer money and thousands of employees getting paid to sit on a desk to do nothing or to be sat in a lobby or in their car to wait until they are called to work while getting paid. This is occurring across departments and across schools. There are literally people retiring and people did not know they had been in the same department and office until they see them 10 to 15 years later at the yearly retirement event held for LAUSD retirees. This is occurring from tech department to district central departments including school police department. There are school police officers for every school, except that they do not show up at their schools until they are called or are hiding supposedly spying on student text and cell phone communication. Hence why all these middle and high schools are collapsing because there are a lot of employees abusing the system at the management and administrative level. The higher your position the less you will do at LAUSD.
Lapd hasn’t been defunded. They keep getting raises

How do you know he's NOT a US citizen? Don't make assumptions. Just because he has an accent and may have been born overseas does not mean he isn't a naturalized citizen. Have you even read his story? He came here with nothing but used every opportunity to better himself (he has some very impressive credentials--Google him!) and now he fights for all kids, even immigrant kids.
The school has Pokemon cards for them to play with?? 😮 Wish we had that back when I was in school. Well I did bring my own Pokemon and Yugioh cards.
Retired teacher here--Probably those were bought with the teacher's own personal money. Most of what's in those rooms was probably out of the teachers' paychecks, not district funds. That's why this is especially heartbreaking.
