    Thanks for the video, could you have a * on it's own, i.e. representing "has anything in it"?

      You can and that will be looking for any text that is not blank. So for example using COUNTIF(A1:A10, "*") is the same as counting all text like COUNTA( A1:A10).
      * won't consider fields that are formatted as numbers.

      @@MrLongITandCAT I wonder if you could advise. I have a list of customers in Column A and a list of contracts is Column B. Some customers only have one contract where as others have multiple contracts although some could have the same contract listed (there is another column with product in so some products could be in the same contract as another) I’m trying to get a list of customers with multiple contracts. I can do it if I first create a unique list of customers but I’m trying to avoid that. Using 365.
