Great video, Ty. I just saw the episode of Flats Class last night with Capt Flip making that foot for Capt C.A.'s push pole.

We fished all those areas for years but never fly fished there. Fished those outer islands in the surf. Lot of specter and big reds. AND SHARKS AND STINGRAYS! Nice video.

    that sailcat brings back memories
. those oyster boat stir up the nutrients and spat in the water and it brings the organisms and the baitfish in, and the gamefish follow.. its like seagulls following a shrimp boat around.,

That was a bruiser. Any overslot Red in shallow water is a challenge, but doing it on the fly makes it quite special.

I have been touring the Southeast Coast for a while now. I would say it is safe to say Louisiana has the best inshore fishing hands down. I have not been everywhere yet, but Louisiana has the best Redfish, Sea Trout, Giant Ladyfish and a decent number of flounder (Not of size because they have no size limit there). Exceptional shark fishing. Texas comes close.

@EarthatWork Lots of estuaries and creeks and some bays but not the flats like Texas. Water is usually mucked up from lots of big mullet, it clears up a bit at high tide.

LA is a lot of Mississippi delta mud but insane fishing. south texas is mangrove , turtle grass conch and gin clear like Florida.
