I think garden fabric would of been better because it would allow the rain water too soak in! Great vid!
i have alot of problems with the fabric. the roots off weeds are able to hold onto it. i only used the cheap stuff though.

most don't recommend using this plastic. but i love using it, it holds enough moisture underneath. I don't water after the initial water in.
im doing this next year to late for me in WI i have a few things planted in my weeds
