I never understood jealousy when it comes to your significant other, like a little bit is cute, but too much is like them saying they don't trust you, why should you be with someone that don't trust you.
Malon Brown sometimes you do things that causes them to not trust you. Like say a gf goes to clubs and doesn't want her man to join her consistently. Or the guy hangs out with people without telling his gf who he's with and gets defensive for no feasible reason.
Significant others should be best friends and it's okay to have separate friend circles but you can't keep them separate, or the SO that's being kept as an extra wheel will start wondering why.

Malon Brown sometimes the relationship can be inappropriate if you act too intimately with a friend of the opposite or same sex. personally i don't have an issue with my husbands female friends . he has a few including our neighbor who he hangs out without me at times and she even confides in him a lot. i have complete faith in both of them.

Oh my gosh I sooo relate to this but from a completely different perspective. I am single as can all be and so are most of my friends, and I love my friends to death, but I have that one friend that will sit there and get a crush on a guy, proceed to deny that she has a crush on him whenever we ask, but then go on to pick apart that guy's relationship with his current girlfriend and try to make it sound one of them just is doing something COMPLETELY wrong when in reality they're the cutest couple. I HAAAATTTEEE it!

Man, what perfect timing for this video! I asked my housemate yesterday, who's in a relationship, whether she wants to watch a movie on the laptop. And then she replies, "no, sorry, I can't my boyfriend wouldn't be comfortable with me being alone in a room with another guy".
Obviously, I thought this was wack, but I didn't tell her that because she and her boyfriend just does things differently to how I would. I did feel sorry for her though, she can't even watch a movie with someone of the opposite sex just because it makes her boyfriend uncomfortable..!? Oh well, as you say David, people in relationships are bound to do things differently to other people in relationships.

i have a friend who is in a relationship and they've been dating for a couple months now. well yesterday she told me that her friends don't want to be her friends anymore because she's dating someone they don't like. 1. this guy is the most respectful person you will ever meet. he would never hit a girl, would never insult a girl and cares about everyone. but their second excuse of pushing her away is that apparently she's not hanging out with them as much anymore, but she has class with all of them and talks to them all the time. she asked them if she could hang with them and they said no and thats how all this started. i don't know what to do because she came to me about it. i think its really dumb that they don't want to be her friend just because of who she's dating. i just want some opinions on what you guys would do.

I think that because you are in a healthy relationship and yet you are able to comfortably speak with an open mind with your girl friends, it brings out the insecurity in people. Because people have this mindset that people of the opposite sex can NOT be friends and talk openly with each other.
