The problem there is that they would instead just contact each other and pay in cash instead of using the uber app and giving uber a fee. Or using money apps like venmo or paypal to transfer money
@@pseudohumor695 I dropped a woman off at a doctors appointment. It was a 45 minute ride. I just started driving for both and I think it is ridiculous they don't have away to give a family member or friend a ride. If your spouse or friend travels for business, you should be able to pick them up and drop them off at the airport.
Uber support says this is on purpose to "discourage fraud." I told them the only thing it discourages is me using the Uber app for on-demand rides w/certain people. Lyft will get that business.
The man clearly said that if you're sitting next to the motherfukeryou're most likely going to be able to get the guy as long as you're not at an airport. How the f*** am I the only one that heard that?
no it didn't answer my question I want you to you to show me how to do it on the phone. I have a driver that I love and want to request him and I can't figure out how to do it on the phone when I need a ride. So is there a part 2? :-)
You can't do it specifically - that's my point. But it's proximity based so if you're sitting next to him, then you can request him and you'll get him :)
I figured this out a long time ago....before I watched your video. I can't believe some people don't understand. It all has to be prearranged....thats when your business card comes in handy.
I am an independent contractor. I have the right to solicit myself as a personal driver. If a pax wants to hire me and pay me an agreed upon fee....I see nothing illegal or conflicting about it. Just make your own arrangements.
+The Rideshare Guy. My insurance covers me as a driver for Uber. I'm a rideshare driver....why would it be any different if they hire me independently?
i fully agree with your opinion on the situation but just be careful because if it's not in the uber system they won't insure anything that happens, likely drop you as a driver if they find out and the person you drove will have no other option but to sue you for everything you have to pay the medical bills
There’s better ways to do this, if you have a cool uber/lyft driver, they’ll sometimes hand you a business card. You text when/where you need a ride for the same price. Your own chauffeur!
You only said for them to request a ride and if your the closest you should get call but we were hoping to hear how to request a specific person on the app. I don't think it's possible.
Good Morning Harry, Have had this happen to me and 2 passengers. After so many rides Lyft will automatically Block you from that passenger, do not have an exact number, believe it to be about 150 rides. Picked a guy M-F by request of his parents to grt him to work, that lasted about 7 months before being blocked and with lady who lives in my apartment building. Lyft unblocked both after explaining the situations but it was a hassle waiting to be rematched. Lyft said they want it to be 'an organic' matching system with different drivers regularly.Unfortunately had to give the guy up as a passenger, got reblocked after 3 weeks, got unblocked again and he began to insist on using Uber.
Good to know, but you still may not have collision coverage during period 1 so make sure to at least get a quote and see how it would compare: therideshareguy.com/rideshare-insurance-options-for-drivers/
Yes you would need licensing and commercial insurance if using your vehicle for commercial use (rides off the uber app). If you are using your vehicle for rides with Uber, they provide commercial insurance while on a trip and require that you have personal insurance but it's advisable that you look into rideshare insurance: therideshareguy.com/rideshare-insurance-options-for-drivers/
Thanks Harry, just wanted to report an update based on my experience. Uber and Lyft caught up with requesting a specific car so now even if the rider is sitting in the car with the driver, the rider will not get that driver. I've been doing Uber for 4 years and in the beginning that was possible, now they'll send a driver 5 mins away. Possibly for equal opportunity ?
Alexalocombia6090 -- The passenger has to keep cancelling and requesting a ride until they get the driver they want.. May take several tries.. Drivers are assigned trips based on distance AND amount of time waiting for a trip, meaning, the closest driver does not get the trip, as Harry explained..
@@leezhoe I agree. I used Uber this morning and the driver and myself had a very pleasant conversation and had some startling things in common. I would very much like to request rides with him specifically.
Long story short: Only works if you are next to the driver you want, but not actually or always. If you had a driver in the past and want to use them again, tough shit.
Bonnie Jean Angel Farmer What about asking the driver his/ her phone number and pay the ride outside the app in cash ?? It would be tax free for the driver 🤔🤔
So, in a nutshell, you suggest I build my network and when one of my contacts wants a ride with me (because I'm awesome AF) then they should call me...have me drive to where they are...and then they submit their Uber or Lyft request? I don't doubt that might work in L.A. but that won't fly here in Virginia Beach. We're too spread out and I can't waste my time driving for 20-40 mins for just another fare that's pretty much like any other fare. I agree this might not be too terrible of a plan if you KNOW they're going to need a ride for a significant distance and/or during surges.
To sum-up, .... NO. You cannot request a specific driver or rider. You can stand next to the driver and request a ride, but you are NOT guaranteed to get that driver. UBER assigns driver based on proximity and wait time (to get a ride). You can CANCEL the request (you may get charged a cancellation fee if the driver is close by) and try again but still no guarantee. If your passenger wants to go to another destination after stopping at the original destination, do NOT end the ride. Have the passenger change the destination or add a stop. The driver can also change the destination on the driver app (I think). The passenger can also change the destination during the trip (I think). You cannot change the destination if it is a POOL ride. He did mention at the beginning, you could do it "off" the app. Go offline on the Uber driver app and work out a fee with the passenger (like .75/mile).
Had a Lyft Line PAX that was not downstairs. After the timer ran out & I called, the PAX saw me pulling out of the driveway. She was going to the airport, so I was willing to forgive her. Tried getting her on Lyft, then on Uber. We kept getting matched with other people. Gave up after passing up two or more rides and she was matched with someone else. The technique should work most of the time, but not consistently in the city, malls, ....
+The Rideshare Guy This is the first month of LiftLine & UberPool in Chicago, so it is highly unlikely that a driver gets 2 pickups, I got my first dual pickup UberPool ride today. Maybe others were waiting nearby & I got put at the bottom of the list and someone 8 minutes away got my slow passenger.
+Joni Johnson I'm The Rideshare Guy :) Haha jk, it's not that hard to figure it out. I tested it a bunch myself, talked to other drivers and uber/lyft used to give out this info more freely a couple years ago..
+The Rideshare Guy --lol, after I asked the question I pondered on the ways you gathered the data and figured as much. :) I appreciate all the tips and information because it has really helped.
Hello, it's Richard from Irving Texas, I took a man and his son to BK,from a hospital.he said he would be about 10min he be out if I was still around.so I ended the trip because I was not going to sit there and wait.but he changed his mind came back out with his food and wanted to go back to the hospital. I told him I ended the trip already, so got in the car and requested another trip and it went to another driver.right after it went to another driver my phone got a request for someone else.
,,,, ok and if your a real full timer then you understand it's not practical to get requested for your "dedicated rider" if your 45 miles away on another trip... LMFAO
Hi guy, how is it fraud to pick up the same person again and again? If my wife requests me to go to work and she gets charged $20 and my gains are $15.... my wife just paid $5 to Uber. (let's not forget the $1.70 she pays for safe ride fee)
OK so the quick answer is drive away a half block from person - don't just stand in front of them and have them request you like that. See how easy that was?
Last week, a guy calls me to his hotel to pick him up. He gets in the car and orders the ride. When he sees my car on his app, he submits it. My car disappeared from his app, and it was given to someone 8 minutes away. He tried that 7 times before giving up. Today we tried it again and it took it away from me and gave to a driver 12 minutes away. It’s sounds like Uber has changed into Lyft.
This worked for me in the past, but no more. My wife is a driver and I travel for work to the airport a lot. Naturally l would prefer for my wife to be the driver. Recently when requesting a ride right in her car, it no longer goes to her. Sometimes to drivers over 10 miles away. What is up with that. Immediatly cancel and try again, several times, now always to other drivers that are much further away.
Hey, I have a question: I just pick up a passenger and another one after that one. I'm searching here if I can see the name of the first passenger, but I can't find. I could find the last one, but I need the first one, how do I see the name of the first passenger? I have the trip code as well.
rideshare guy I get the feeling, from reading some of the questions and comments, that some people take cash as payment not matter how many times you tell them that is a bad idea...
Just received an email from Uber saying that they re decreasing the downtime for drivers by having them accepting new trips while they re in on a trip.

My question is, besides using Uber's insurance, why use Uber at all? Why not just say "hey give me so and so $ and I'll take you. Forget Uber/Lyft getting their cut
Hello Rideshare Guy, my question is: how can I know how many seats (passengers) have the rider requested. Is there a icon ( number ) of passengers shown in the ACCEPT TRIP page of the Uber app?
Okay maybe a stupid question but I'm comparing the writer app with the driver app, and the writer app demonstrates surge pricing but no surge pricing is noted on the driver app. Is that normal and if so why are they not advertising The Surge price on the driver app?
Also some states do not let Uber drive due to not having state licenses. how can you get that or are we covered under Ubers license. Dont we havento have a st license sense we are indepenant contractors for uber?
I still don't understand a way for a passenger to request you. How do they request How do you get them in the app? Do I hand them a business card with my number on it? Confused.
Hey, there's anyway to settings to acquire only Credit Card users? I'm UBER Driver and I don't want to see money passegers to find me when they search for an UBER, I want only credtic card passenger to find me, there's anyway to set that?
I understand about the closest Uber driver getting the next ride but at the Ottawa airport in Canada I drove in next to a driver who had been there 15 minutes and after waiting only 10 minutes I got a ride and left while he was till waiting there??? Any idea why this might have happened?
Can you tell me how you feel about the select category? I am in Atlanta and am in my second week. I currently have a minivan so I do x and xl. I've considered trying to get into select and buying a used Mercedes. I mostly drive in the higher end areas so I'm wondering if there is money in select.
Tricky question. I'd avoid buying an expensive car just to do Uber Select - the demand is lower, so many drivers who've done this say that they wound up taking lots of regular UberX requests to make ends meet. Select clients are also, on the whole, more likely to nitpick when it comes time to rate you. If you want a Mercedes regardless, those Select fares can be nice - but as purely a business decision, I'd be hesitant about it.
I don't get it the video title is how to request a specific driver on Uber but you had no advice about that or how to actually do that. Good tips about trying to avoid getting into a fraud situation by having too many requests by the same person
I started driving today and started watching your videos while I was waiting for pings. I did not sign up with anyone's referral code so is there no way now to take advantage of the sign up bonus using your referral code?
I have done this b4 with uber but this morning I picked up a guy and he asked if I could pick him up from work. He called n i went n picked him up. We weren't at airport but 4xs it kept giving him other drivers 10 mins away and giving me Pax 30 mins away. Why would this happen?
Yeah, this method does not work at all. Nearly every time I've had a customer request from inside or just outside my car it gives the ride to another driver. I have a feeling Uber has switched to something similar to the Lyft algorithm. Once I was parked on an off ramp with a pax in my car (we had just dropped of a friend and ended the ride for him), and this pax wanted me to take him the rest of the way on his own account. After about 8 attempts we gave up. Gonna try this method once more. My neighbor needs me to give him a ride to the airport and return his baby seat to his house afterward. I'm pretty sure we'll run into the same problem. Might just give him a ride for free (your loss Uber!) and just catch a rider for the return trip.
I don't know why a friend or relative would try to use a specific driver to defraud... I mean, the money is going to come out of their account anyway. but if the phone was stolen and someone used it to request a ride LOL then sure
Truth is you can’t request a driver and it’s all business involved . The moment uber let’s you request a driver will be the moment that they will loose hundreds of drivers who pay a percentage per trip and that’s because uber will no longer send a client to the closest driver available. It is a lot more, sadly we cannot unless we request it
how do you control the rating. I did 12trips and got 5stars out of 12. but from 5.1 I dropped to 4.08. my first ride ever was a drunk crazy person that complained about me. basically will you get fired.
Am I suppose to receive more (and does the rider pay more) for multiple riders on 1 trip? On my first night driving I had 2 separate trips of 3 guys. Looking at the compensation on Uber's site, there wasn't additional compensation. Also, Do I only start the trip once the rider is in my vehicle? Or can I start the timer as soon as I've arrived for the pick up? Thanks!
+tl97wings No same price for 1-4 people unless on Uberpool. I usually wait until they get there since you don't get paid much for waiting and that might piss them off.
can a rider request a specific driver that not close or next to me ( I might live 1 mile away from rider ) ,of course I do drive uber 3 times a week for over 10 hours each,so he/she is not my only passenger, but I know this rider goes for a long trip certain days and want that business ...what I mean is if they trust me to take them whenever they need their next ride ,can they request me again on any different day?... how? TY
Hey RSG, I want you to know how valuable I find all your advice. Well I finally got started with Uber. I found insurance in the Fargo ND area from the Steve Marquart Farmer's agency. He was THE ONLY insurance company in all of North Dakota who would cover my ridesharing. His was also the only agency I could find who would give me a full commercial taxicab policy, as I wanted to also be able to catch riders who would hail me from the curb. That was what I wanted to ask you about--about how Uber would feel about this practice? I also had an incident a couple evenings ago. An Uber rider walked right up to the side of my car, where I had been sitting for about half an hour already, and asked if I was "his" Uber? Well, my partner ap hadn't pinged me! He had his phone ap on, and that was how he knew me to be Uber, but apparently the Uber system had given the ride to another driver. First there aren't a whole lot of riders or partners in my small area where Uber has only recently been authorized. There wasn't a surge! I hadn't had a rider in over an hour! Yet, the Uber ap gave the ride to a different driver from further away--who showed up less than five minutes later and as I watched, my passenger took that other driver! What happened?
Uber discourages "off-the-app" pickups for obvious reasons. If you have insurance to cover that, you're probably ok, but always be wary of potential issues - lost items, misbehaving riders, etc. No way to contact the pax afterwards if something happens! Uber's very secretive about how it doles out ride requests - could be a GPS glitch, or their top-secret algorithms doing something weird. It's not uncommon for the app to not send a given request to the closest driver though.
You and the customer have to be in sync. I have a regular guy I tske to the airport once a week. I know what time he leaves....I go to his house. He doesn't request the ride until he is in my car. I naturally get the ping (request) becsuse I am the closest driver to him. He asked me to be there every week because there are not always drivers around at the time he leaves. I see nothing wrong with it. Uber still gets their share and the client is happy and I make money. Win win for all. If Uber says this is wrong....then so be it. I could take cash from him but I don't.
If it's the same fare every time (barring a surge in rates), they could agree on an inbetween rate and the driver could turn off his Uber app during the time of that ride. Here, Uber takes a 28% cut. If the Uber fare is $10, I would get $7.20. They could agree on $8 or $9. But if there's a surge, then the driver loses a potential money.
you do well by not taking cash also I don't know how you get a passenger that is inside your car, I was told at the Westwood office in california that the app is built not to to accept that, as a matter of fact you have to walk away for at least 20 feet away from the driver in order to be assigned that rider...
Uber loses. My client pays me cash. We tried to do it the Uber way but Uber eventually stopped giving me his request. They would give him the 2nd closest driver. His company now reimburses him for a price we worked out as "friends". I can have a "friend" in my car and if he wants to "give me gas money".....nothing illegal about that and he IS covered under my insurance as a passenger in my car.
Recently took rider to destination to pickup another rider, they then wanted to go to a 2nd destination together, in meantime I completed first ride and riders couldn't get me to show on the app to get them to their final desired location even though they were in my car! I also got pinged twice during this time to accept other riders. Any suggestions how to resolve in future? Thanks
Sure you always want the app to have the final destination loaded so your 'next trip' requests will be based off that: maximumridesharingprofits.com/how-uber-passengers-can-enter-multiple-destinations-on-their-uber-ride/ You can also toggle 'go offline' button.
if you are doing uber x all you have to do is change to a new address a few blocks before you get to your new destination but if you are doing uber pool you can not pick other people than the people that you are being assigned by the app.
Thanks for the info Harry. I didn't know the Lyft system was different I had a situation where I had a passenger in my car and tried to request me but it kept picking other drivers I didn't understand why
+Nikita Gofman Yup, since it's based on distance AND proximity it won't always work. But you should be able to just have the pax cancel and re-request and that resets the other driver so you are more likely to get it. I've never had to do it more than 2-3 times though :) More info here on my very first podcast: therideshareguy.com/episode1

The Uber app all it says is to use the product slider tool and I can't find it on the app? I used the military driver option years ago and it was easy because the app gave you easy access. Now I can't find it. Thank you
I don't understand why Uber would care if you have personal clients who want you. They are still getting the ride from Uber and making money.....whats the problem with it?
So all my neighbors know I am driving. They are within two houses. If they call me (they can see my Uber car parked in the driveway) and ask if I am available, and I turn the app on, that's fraud? I agree with others, it doesn't make sense. What if it happened every weekend for a month? It would seem to me that Uber should be aware that I am acting in their best interest and they are getting their cut and not be defrauded.
will uber suspend or disable your account if you decline/cancel too many rides in succession? There was one point where I declined about 5 or 6 straight uber pool requests (I hate uber pool)
Yes. You have a ride acceptance rating. The more you decline, the lower your rating goes. If you drop down below a certain threshold, you lose out on certain perks (such as uber comfort or premium) if you drop down to low, you will be shut off. If you don't like uberpool, i suggest going through your preferences and unchecking the uber pool box so you don't get those calls anymore
Can you tell how to re rate an Uber driver because I accidentally gave my driver one State instead of five and driver was supper nice and I feel bad😒 HELP🙏
Hi Enrique, To update your rating for a driver, open the trip receipt that we sent by email. In the receipt, select the number of stars you wish to give. Your web browser will display a confirmation screen with the updated rating you've provided. You can also use your app to review the ratings you gave drivers.
All you had to say was that it's not possible for a person to select a driver or rider. 5 seconds. Nobody clicked this video to learn the overview of how drivers are selected
Like 75% on the people here, I listened to 5:39 minutes of this and still don't know how. It was just mure bla bla bla . Like really man? This isn't Shakespeare's play
BS. I have had riders, that I just delivered, that wanted to go elsewhere. They are sitting in my car & Uber did not give it to me!! This has happened more than once. One rider actually requested 3 or 4 times!
I recently encountered a passenger that tends to take longer trips (Orange County to LA) and wanted to request me specifically. I gave her my phone number and asked her to text me the day prior to her planned long drives to see what my availability was. If I was free I would make sure I was in her neighborhood at the time she was wanting to leave and text her when I was outside her house. She would get in the car and make the request and off we go.
Has this been working for you lately? I noticed it doesn't always work like it used to on Uber - been trying to figure out what they changed the algo. to :(
It worked a few times. But she was sitting in the car with me while I was online when she made the request. She has only requested me a few times so the sample size is not that large to really determine how effective this technique is.
ok so here's my question: Let's say i get an uber driver to pick me up. He's cool and he has a really cool car, that even though the ride was for work,i would like to request same driver or the car specifically...Surprisingly the car was a Tesla S...and verry cool, that i would like to book for a special day/night..The app used to have names/cars to look on, but now its just the cars listed..So how does one at least attempt to get the same car or is it just happenstance that i got lucky to ride in one?
If you don't know how to contact him you could submit a "Lost item" to maybe get in touch. Just tell the app that you may have lost an item and they can put you in contact with the driver. Then you can talk to them about your request. This is not really how that tool is supposed to work, so dont be shocked if your driver is confused or taken aback.
In regard to the fraud discussion... What if you hand your business cards out and you end up getting regular requests and the sameones ...like if its a business person that has to go back and forth to the airport. As long as their doing it thru the app and paying what difference does it make? i dont understand how things like this is fraud!
It's not technically fraud but it could set off triggers in Uber's automated fraud detection system. I think ultimately you'd be able to explain what was happening but you could be temporarily deactivated. Make sense?

That would be nice if each driver can have a business card and passenger can put in a code in to request a certain driver

Drivers are assigned trips based on distance AND amount of time waiting for a trip, meaning, the closest driver does not get the trip, as Harry explained..
its ridiculous that a rider cannot request a specific driver
Harry, drivers “standing by” longer also now get priority on the Uber algorithm as well.
Can you actually tell me how to look at it, someone requested me, but i dont know how to go look at it
You never really explained how to actually do it. 😆
+Gale Teschendorf It won't work on lyft line/uberpool but should work just fine on uber.
How did you find out Lyft vs Ubers algorithm?
Yea I think Uber has changed their algorithm - still seeing if there's a way around this.
Richard Thomas decline any trip except him, and have him cancel any driver that isnt you. Just make sure he understands how its working.
What is the difference between Uber and Uber black? Is the fair different?
+amir shahkarami Yes very different :) Black is a premium service and X is a regular service. Learn more on ubermovement.com and go to products.
uber should have way the ride can request a drive.for example after the rider take 50 trip the ride should be able to request a driver.
With Usurv, any rider can request their favorite driver.
how do you do this
What?
,,,, ok and if your a real full timer then you understand it's not practical to get requested for your "dedicated rider" if your 45 miles away on another trip... LMFAO
Roger Bricker , , and if their a state over on a long trip, then what?
Hi guy, how is it fraud to pick up the same person again and again? If my wife requests me to go to work and she gets charged $20 and my gains are $15.... my wife just paid $5 to Uber. (let's not forget the $1.70 she pays for safe ride fee)
That's probably ok but if you're on guarantees for example and using your wife to hit the 1 trip per hour requirements, that would be fraud.
Why in the world would you use Uber? Paying for what reason? Stupid
+Russell Simmons I'm not gonna do it, you crazy? lol. it was just a question
Have you check UZURV yet? It might solve the problem
Hey, I have a question:
I just pick up a passenger and another one after that one.
I'm searching here if I can see the name of the first passenger, but I can't find.
I could find the last one, but I need the first one, how do I see the name of the first passenger? I have the trip code as well.
It should be in the menu on the upper left hand side that shows the trips/stops.
After the trip is complete you won't see the name anymore
rideshare guy I get the feeling, from reading some of the questions and comments, that some people take cash as payment not matter how many times you tell them that is a bad idea...
Yes many drivers do and if you get caught it can be bad.
Just received an email from Uber saying that they re decreasing the downtime for drivers by having them accepting new trips while they re in on a trip.
+rajaoui2007 Yea I heard/saw! Good news for drivers, hopefully they'll implement more driver friendly features: therideshareguy.com/10-features-that-id-like-to-see-uber-add-to-help-its-drivers/
can a request be predated or scheduled or is it only live?? If it can be done please advise.... thanks in advance
Can't be scheduled but this is a feature they're testing out..
My question is, besides using Uber's insurance, why use Uber at all? Why not just say "hey give me so and so $ and I'll take you. Forget Uber/Lyft getting their cut
You could get a ticket and/or be liable if you get into an accident since personal insurance doesn't cover livery.
Wish there was an update to this video.... I've tried twice to do this, and both times....pax got a different Rider and had to cancel multiple times.
Joseph RonPaul Elster it might be that way if it's a busy area. Works great away from concentrated areas.
Hello Rideshare Guy, my question is: how can I know how many seats (passengers) have the rider requested. Is there a icon ( number ) of passengers shown in the ACCEPT TRIP page of the Uber app?
I don't believe there is one at the moment
This is a great question for the business minded drivers. Lyft and Uber is being stingy for not allowing this
Does this also apply to Uber Eats?
If a customer cancels a ride to get to the Uber driver they want, does it lower a customers rating?
Nope.
Okay maybe a stupid question but I'm comparing the writer app with the driver app, and the writer app demonstrates surge pricing but no surge pricing is noted on the driver app. Is that normal and if so why are they not advertising The Surge price on the driver app?
+Sherry Canfield There is some lag time between the pax/driver apps - see this video: ua-cam.com/video/nul0NXgMFf8/v-deo.html
I watched in for hours and the riders were alerted of the surge and it NEVER showed onnthe driver app. Gonna test it today.thoughts?
+Sherry Canfield seems like something is fishy - that shouldn't be happening.
Also some states do not let Uber drive due to not having state licenses. how can you get that or are we covered under Ubers license. Dont we havento have a st license sense we are indepenant contractors for uber?
What's the question?
I still don't understand a way for a passenger to request you. How do they request How do you get them in the app? Do I hand them a business card with my number on it? Confused.
Yea you'd have to get their contact info or vice versa and then do this :)
Hey, there's anyway to settings to acquire only Credit Card users?
I'm UBER Driver and I don't want to see money passegers to find me when they search for an UBER, I want only credtic card passenger to find me, there's anyway to set that?
What country are you in? We only have cc users here in the US.
I've driven past the corral at the airport because it was full and then off the airport property. Got a ping immediately. Lol.
+Jason Sejkora Haha nice, from an airport pax or someone just nearby?
+The Rideshare Guy airport pax
So where was the answer? Did you answer the question
I know what time the regulars go to work so if I'm in the neighborhood I'll be parked close by.
How can you explain to uber that you keep getting the same person when your just idling online?
I don't get it the video title is how to request a specific driver on Uber but you had no advice about that or how to actually do that. Good tips about trying to avoid getting into a fraud situation by having too many requests by the same person
Hey Rideshare Guy...great video!!
The question I have is, What exactly is it mean when it said "1.20X" fare ???
Thanks
That would be a surge fare so you would get paid 20% extra if it's a 1.2x surge.
I started driving today and started watching your videos while I was waiting for pings. I did not sign up with anyone's referral code so is there no way now to take advantage of the sign up bonus using your referral code?
Yea definitely, I've got instructions here on how to do it: therideshareguy.com/uber-sign-up-bonus-for-new-drivers/
I cant see the what drivers are in my area as a passenger.
Is this still working? I'm a newbie and getting my inspection on Wednesday so I can start driving soon. Just curious.
I have done this b4 with uber but this morning I picked up a guy and he asked if I could pick him up from work. He called n i went n picked him up. We weren't at airport but 4xs it kept giving him other drivers 10 mins away and giving me Pax 30 mins away. Why would this happen?
Hmm this was on Uber? Has it ever worked for you before?
I mean, the money is going to come out of their account anyway. but if the phone was stolen and someone used it to request a ride LOL then sure
one passenger lyft
what do I pick
"shared or economy"
shared seems cheaper and looks like one or two people
Truth is you can’t request a driver and it’s all business involved .
+Benita Boatright In short, you shouldn't worry too much about one bad rating: ua-cam.com/video/cXCUK4St9g8/v-deo.html
I usually wait until they get there since you don't get paid much for waiting and that might piss them off.
hello, how can I contact you?
You can contact me here: therideshareguy.com/contact/
I had a customer request a ride from inside my car and another car was given the call. Uber doesn't work like that anymore.
Ed Milius thats when you have tge rider cancel immediatly until they get you.
can a rider request a specific driver that not close or next to me ( I might live 1 mile away from rider ) ,of course I do drive uber 3 times a week for over 10 hours each,so he/she is not my only passenger, but I know this rider goes for a long trip certain days and want that business ...what I mean is if they trust me to take them whenever they need their next ride ,can they request me again on any different day?... how? TY
+Frank C No, but you can get their contact info and set it up with them that way. Just drive to them and have them request you.
good idea,ty
Thank for the feedback RSG.
Keep it short and sweet, get to the point man
Thank you for your valuable information
You and the customer have to be in sync. I have a regular guy I tske to the airport once a week. I know what time he leaves....I go to his house. He doesn't request the ride until he is in my car. I naturally get the ping (request) becsuse I am the closest driver to him. He asked me to be there every week because there are not always drivers around at the time he leaves. I see nothing wrong with it. Uber still gets their share and the client is happy and I make money. Win win for all. If Uber says this is wrong....then so be it. I could take cash from him but I don't.
Yea I think what you're doing is the best way to handle it :) Kudos for figuring this out.
Once again, does he HAVE to use Uber? Or can you two figure out a price point and not use uber? Why give them their cut?
Thanks
Sure you always want the app to have the final destination loaded so your 'next trip' requests will be based off that: maximumridesharingprofits.com/how-uber-passengers-can-enter-multiple-destinations-on-their-uber-ride/
You can also toggle 'go offline' button.
if you are doing uber x all you have to do is change to a new address a few blocks before you get to your new destination but if you are doing uber pool you can not pick other people than the people that you are being assigned by the app.
hi by by
Thanks for the info Harry.
I've never had to do it more than 2-3 times though :)
More info here on my very first podcast: therideshareguy.com/episode1
@@TherideshareguyI would like to know how to request a Uber military driver that hass access to the military base? The Uber app all it says is to use the product slider tool and I can't find it on the app? I used the military driver option years ago and it was easy because the app gave you easy access. Now I can't find it.
Thank you
I need a uzure code to sign up plz help me

does this work in nyc
I don't understand why Uber would care if you have personal clients who want you. They are still getting the ride from Uber and making money.....whats the problem with it?
They are worried about fraud and you potentially just cutting them out of the deal altogether.
Has this been made almost useless by Uber matching high rated pax & drivers?
Uber change algorithm? I try today it’s not work
will uber suspend or disable your account if you decline/cancel too many rides in succession?
Didnt get one word
All you had to say was that it's not possible for a person to select a driver or rider. 5 seconds. Nobody clicked this video to learn the overview of how drivers are selected
Gauld Attire What about asking the driver his/ her phone number and pay the ride outside the app in cash ?? It would be tax free for the driver 🤔🤔
These apps have a system . Basically. There isn’t enough $$$ to go around. There’s no $$$ unless you get lucky.
Like 75% on the people here, I listened to 5:39 minutes of this and still don't know how. It was just mure bla bla bla . Like really man? This isn't Shakespeare's play
How about lyft
Never did tell me how to request same driver.
Über scare to bust by same driver over and over to bust how much über charge the passengers and gap all together over and over.
Tori mahel WTF?
ok so here's my question: Let's say i get an uber driver to pick me up.
You'd have to arrange it with the driver outside of the app.
Thanks..
You did not tells us how to request a certain driver
From bluff meats to Umlaut c section next to games shops
Great information thank you!!
Make sense?
can riders see the driver riding to their location
Yes
How?
You never explained HOW. What did I miss?
