@@Anthonymartin-pg8cg oh he’s back from his ‘vacation’ 🤣 I cancelled my $6.99 per month subscription with him because he’s more interested in selling things than recording and saving content on his platform, he deletes everything so you can’t go back to see if his forecasts come true. Followed him for ten years but he’s changed. Obviously going through some financial crisis, which is a shame, he’s more than deserving of making a living off of his gift, but when he offers his twitter page up for sale for $800k, then deletes the tweet, then starts selling expensive merch again, which is great, but not offering content (or deleting everything shortly after recording)…no thanks. Had enough of the madness. He’s talented but IMO he’s not well.
Did not feel that 3.4 in NY. Weird when it's relatively near you and you have to learn from EM. My dog's been pacing at night all week so I was wondering if something was coming. We have felt other quakes in other directions before.
I'm right across lake Champlain in Vermont and thought I felt shaking but I thought I was nuts😂😂😂
@@krististevens230 I’ve been feeling nuts here in NJ since 4/5! We’ve had hundreds of aftershocks and I’ve felt so many of the slight ones in the 1s and 2s! They even come across as ‘booms’ where we hear them rather than feel them!

TEM...thanks for the update, is it possible for you to include the geologic context of the earthquakes you discuss in map form. Fault linework is one thing but the various physiographic provinences paint a beautiful picture. The usgs and state surveys have gis layers for most areas. The tectonic map of north america is also a great layer to add with transparency so you can see the underlying terrain and geography. With this info your viewers would gain incredible understand of why things are happening.

There may be a sleeper fault in Lake Ontario. A couple of years ago I mentioned that about 20 years back there was a quake, roughly the same magnitude out in the lake. It was felt in Toronto.
This morning’s count on M3+ quakes in upper Baja is 15, so far.

Mind you, ‘little earthquakes’ here in the East Coast can cause quite a bit of damage. The NJ 4.8 aftershocks of 2.0 were causing a lot of damage other areas may not feel with a 2.0. One minor aftershock that most in other areas of US wouldn’t feel actually sent a giant slab of roadway into a home 50 yards away with an incredible arch of water from a water main break. We feel almost all of the aftershocks we are still having, even the 1s. I read on USGS that east coast feels the magnitude differently than the west coast because of the rock, so 2s and 3s can be a little more of a big deal, especially with our older infrastructure. Bridges collapsed, lots of main breaks, home damage, etc
Peace! Excellent post we must remain prepared out here on the right coast..very few experts point out Earthquakes here in NY/NJ…it’s always areas that aren’t expected to have quakes which can catch folks by surprise!
@@99alfailiwaqain51 very true and the only expert I know of seems to have lost his marbles, I stopped following him after ten years when he insisted that the NJ quakes are government laser beams targeting the former President’s golf course in NJ….insanity. Ramapo fault line in NJ has been active for many years but the whole east coast seems to be coming alive again. I do believe these are leading up to a massive quake that’s overdue in the New Madrid seismic zone. It’s also theorized tgat large quakes in other parts of the world travel and vibrate like waves along the fault lines that go around the world. The NJ quake happened just days after Taiwans biggest earthquake in decades and days before a full solar eclipse-both can play a part
On east coast we feel a lot because the we sit along the core of the Appalachians. It's is blue rock...granulite facies...highest grade of metamorphic rocks. Very dense and compression waves travel faster through denser materials which is why a 4 on the east shakes the whole coast. It's the suture zone of pangea...the Atlantic is the rift. Rock on friends
