Power Steering! | Toyota Pickup TDI Swap Episode 6

Welcome back! In today's episode, we finally get around to mounting the power steering pump to the little TDI! After many, many ideas and iterations, we have something bolted on! Turns out it was right in front of us the entire time! The build is narrowing down to the fine details and all the little things that are necessary for the transplanted heart to beat! we are getting more and more excited as we edge closer to rock bouncing in this truck! Hey man! Waiting for more tdi swap videos! Mine has been working super well so far! I have about 4000km on it now! Only issue I ran into was I blew a serpentine belt @3000km, getting roughly 25-27mpg on the highway on 35’s and 410s amazing power improvement. And my buddy and I built the adapter plate in the garage!

Have you thought about using a Volvo electric power steering pump and ditch all the regular power steering shenanigans?

Definitely thought about it. It adds a lot more cost. Trying to re-use what I already have!
