I noticed on your site that you were trying different nutrients. I was curious if you had any new info in regard to that? I just purchased a tower garden however have grown other things before. And something tells me that I should look for an alternative to the nutrients they provide.
The mineral soluble nutrient solution we use is excellent, but there are many other fertilizer options providing equal results. Always pick fertilizers with natural and pure ingredients and avoid nutrient formulas with man-made synthetic ingredients.
We're trying to assess different hydroponic systems, two questions: (1) what is your setout grid for towers, (2) how do you get light and ventilation to all levels?
We use the same nutrient solution that we use on all the crops in our farm. It's a 100% natural ionic mineral solution that provides only the purest minerals and trace elements that plants need in order to grow abundantly.
Good question! Considering that the plants are growing vertically upwards off the ground, this drastically reduces the amount of pests that can access the plants. However, if we do have an insect issue, we use organic pest control such as neem oil, pyrethrin, thuricide, and agricultural soap (potassium salts).
Hi Crystal, thank you for your message. I advise you to read the following post written on our blog: agrotonomy.com/harvests-rotations-for-leafy-greens-herbs/ Should you have further questions, you may email us at info@agrotonomy.com. Thank you.
Make sure your PH & PPM levels are appropriate for what you are growing. Bok Choy requires a 6.5-7.5 PH Level & 1120-1750 PPM (nutrient) level. You have to grow foods that need similar nutrients together. Bok Choy would grow great in the same tower & same nutrient levels with: Cauliflower, Celery, Kale, Parsley, Spinach, Strawberries, Marjoram, Broad Bean, Swiss Chard, and Watercress.
Wish you lived close so I could come see first hand how it’s done. Looks amazing and so clean and fresh
This is my favorite channel on UA-cam! How many towers do you think one needs to grow food for a family of four and then give to the community?
We need 2 videos per week. Not enough content. Love your videos.
