RimWorld Zombieland is an overhaul mod for RimWorld which turns the game into a punishing Zombie Survival game. This full playthrough is played on Losing Is Fun set to 500% difficulty without pausing and without using a killbox. No additional mods to help battle the Zombies were added aside from Camera Plus.

This playthrough was recorded LIVE on Twitch. As such, I am speaking with chat throughout (even though this is edited). Videos without chat will be listed as 'UA-cam Exclusive'.
*No Pause - I am using a mod that disables pause in every portion of the game. This means it is impossible for me to pause with a key press and the game will not pause during events or trade, making things much more difficult.
** Losing is Fun set to +500% is the hardest difficulty in unmodded RimWorld

no collision with the high accuracy drop- I don't think the panic room would work but it would still be interesting to see.
I'm not a fan of the spitters, just in my personal opinion. But you're handling it like a boss which is why we love the content haha!

Is it possible that the spitter launches zombies directly at your pawns? If so, staying mobile may be the only way to avoid being swarmed, or going out to kill it as soon as it spawns in, as you did for the first couple of spitters. Maybe you could set up some turrets to handle the zombies that land inside your walls, but not sure if they would be able to kill the zombies fast enough. I must admit that I'm enjoying the vids, although I have no desire to play with this mod myself, I prefer lower difficulties with a specific objective in mind for end game.
Staying mobile doesn't work as seen in the video. Unlike drop pods, this stuff is instant and the zombie will land and attack whoever is closest immediately. Mountain base seems to be a more likely answer. Either that or you stockpile zombie antidotes and just accept people will get bit. Perhaps armor such as metal plate or marine will reduce infection chances too but that would involve testing and it still does not protect hands or feet so they will probably all need bionic limbs eventually.
Right when you think everything is going smooth, the zombie spitter breaks out the precision accuracy zombie volleys. I was so worried they were going to come out of that with everyone infected.

You should talk to brain about the possibility of suppressors that would reduce the sound of some firearms and in turn allow for less zombie aggro, I’m thinking it should take up the utility slot when equipped to a colonist (like the shield belt or something like that) love the vids man glad you are being challenged by this play through.
The fact that you can't just run the game with the default weapon setup is one of the reasons this run is so awesome. Just having assault rifles on everyone every time does get kinda boring after a while.
These are really exciting to watch, it's so different from normal!
The spitters are absurd.
I was just thinking, wouldn't sanguophages be immune to zombie infections? Prime melee blocker in that case

Wow those aggressive spitters are something else. Even if you had mortars of your own there's no way they'd be able to kill it fast enough. Just have to deal with zeds raining down on you every so often I guess.
Mortas would actually destroy the zombies around and therefore destroy his "ammunition."

To counter the spitters, get an empty space put turrets in the middle and room for all your pawns to run around the turrets

Hey, you got a Filter button by choosing and randomizing your pawns. Is this a mod? If yes what is it called? Because I think its not written down in your video description. Thanks!
Do you mean ordering the colonist in the job priority tab? Just click the job type and it orders ppl by skill level in desc, then asc, then top bar order maybe.
If you mean pawn creation: RandomPlus - it lets you set some criteria for rolls, then it will roll for you until it hits.

@@torstengrohs2047 No problem. It's a great mod. Lets you roll for specific things without feeling like you're cheating. Personally I just use it to avoid physical starting conditions and terrible traits. The mod will roll straight past them.
Also great for getting a specific skill without clicking reroll a lot and accidentally skipping the one you were looking for.@@Diiiiiiino

Is the danger graph you reference several times a mod or is that vanilla?
It's specifically the zombie threat from the mod, not regular enemy/event threat. The zombie threat is disconnected from storyteller events.
It's just part of the same Zombieland mod.
I'm sure you've learnt this by the end of all this, but just in case you haven't
You've frequently said "Its at (low)% yet there's still so many zombies"
But that's because only at 0% do zombies die on their own. Any other percent, even 1%, you need to lower the zom pop yourself.
... if you have 500 incapacitated zombies in a room at your base will others be able to spawn on the map?
They'll get out, enough zombies will go over walls and break roofs. But if you disable that feature in the options of the mod, that'd work.
Zombies cant get incapacited because they dont have body parts, they are just a health bar, thats is why you can't click every zombie, they were made likw that to avoid lag, they also dont talk, have a log or anything a pawn or animal would have, barely have a patting, normal zombies are almost moving objects. Also I think hard cap is around 2500-3000

Is this series old? I tried to play this mod but they all just crowd my base within a day or two it's impossible to clear the out or get anything done. They're not set to Smart just default. Maybe the mods changed since these were streamed?
No, this literally just happened. Change the zombies from either 'smart' or 'simple' to 'random'. Hovering over each option will tell you the difference.

The spitter doesn't look fair at all. In vanilla drop pod raids give you reaction time and mortars are not 100% accurate. I can tell the mod creator worked hard on this mod but those spitters are just ridiculous. From what I've seen there isn't a whole lot of counter play. You just have to accept you are going to get bit due to spitter events and ensure you have enough meds to cure everyone or you live under a mountain???
those spitters have some bs accuracy, should probably rebalance that modder
