While the idea of a Defrosted Berdly fight would've ultimately undermined the consequences of Snowgrave, it sure would've been epic to see a smug jerk turn into an absolute badass in a matter of seconds.
Counterpoint, this would chronologically have to take place after spamton, so he would most definitely die in this fight, which, in my opinion, twists the hell out of the knife. Kris could also attack after noelle to make sure hes dead
It'd be a fight where you would actually be able to physically kill him, which is honestly more impactful than just freezing him
I know this is VERY late but in my opinion it would be cool if this was the final boss in the snowgrave route of the last chapter.
Dethaw is the proper word because he is still frozen.
He would shatter at the end of the battle
I like to think that Berdly is in the same situation as Undyne.
Despite how the battle is going to end, Undyne's death was inevitable. A monster can only have so much determination before they melt, but Undyne's will was making her stand, only to end with whatever monster you have become.
Same to Berdly, he's ultimately dead (or frozen), but his will to save Noelle from you is enough for what was left of his subconscious to break out of his _snowgrave_ and end this once and for all. And that's why he wouldn't say word in the fight. This shell of him is just his subconscious last stand to bring you down. Whatever the outcome, he has been dead since the start.

This would have hit way harder emotionally than the snowgrave spamton fight, plus i really would have liked a berdly fight where he's straight up fighting for his life.
It would be interesting to see how he reacts once it becomes clear the stakes of the fight are higher than he thought.
Well, you never know, he could come back eventually. I feel like it'll hit harder if you're about to beat a future chapter, (probably chapter 5-7) and then Berdly stops you and fights you with everything he's got, but still dosen't want to kill you because Berdly and Kris do have a past together and were actually friends. But eventually he'd find out that it isn't Kris in control.
@@rainestorm4399 I feel like this idea has potential, especially if during the dodging sections, Kris is using that moment of momentary freedom from the player to join Berdly in attacking YOU, giving all of his attacks far more powerful patterns thanks yo Kris acting on his own from the left to bounce his attacks back at the box.
@@rainestorm4399 It's funny because we've literally never seen him go all out, he's not even bluffing. If he actually got hurt in any of his fights he'd show that in reality like with the arm thing, couple that with his bizarrely large hp of 1985 and 900 as a lightner (both of which when depleted don't hurt him at all), Berdly's a really strange anomaly powerwise as a lightner. Also he's totally gonna just leave after fighting Kris if he loses since Kris can't really kill on their own.

The use of leitmotifs makes this so much better, I honestly think this being the snowgrave finale would've been as good if not better than spamton neo
I love both versions of the NEO fight but I do wish it was at least slightly different mechanically, beyond just being harder because you have less party members. I suppose this was a fun chance to live the world where Snowgrave has a totally different final fight out vicariously through my music
I mean it's still totally possible for another Snowgrave Berdly fight to happen eventually, he's still out there somewhere

Battle against a True Hero: this means that Berdly had died but came back to life with his own will to live
Smart Race: because he’s smart gg ez no re
Attack of the Killer Queen: this shows that he was loyal to Queen, but now is fighting Kris for he, himself and his self alone
Big Shot: [Frozen Chicken] BECAME WHAT I WAS! A [big shot]

This totally sounds like a pokemon theme, could see this being a unique ice gym leader/elite four member's theme

Berdly is one of if not my favorite deltarune character, so if he gets this sort of treatment in a future chapter, I will go insane. I think all of the "defrosted berdly" themes and animations are absolutely amazing, and seeing one with battle against a true hero leitmotifs is sick. Definitely subscribing!
