To be clear, we did watch every video in the app before purchasing car, but at least at the time and I believe still now, the videos are from the old M3. Also, please understand we ordered the car originally in Jan and it’s now May. We couldn’t keep waiting for the car that was supposed to be delivered in March. After my wife’s previous cars head gasket blew and she was borrowing her father’s to the people saying we should have waited for the plaid. Thanks for watching and I hope this helped clarify things. The car is amazing. Checkout a detailed interior review here

Seems like the us experience is vastly different from the European experience. I took a test drive on Saturday, ordered after that and went through the whole payment process today. Now the car will get delivered next week. Tesla employees called me after every single step I took towards ordering the car and told me what to do next. Was easily the most pleasant car dealer I ever dealt with.

Never bought one myself, but from reading a lot online over the years:
If you want to finance through Tesla's finance offerings you can specify that on purchase.
Then you pay a ordering deposit (250€ here in germany), if your financing request is declined, you get it back as far as I know.
Once all is signed your delivery window starts and you'll get sent papers a week or so, you'll have to register the car, then you get the ability to make an appointment through the app to pick up the car once it's ready.

    2 things.
1.if ur at a busy supercharger it puts ur charge limit to 80 but u can manually change it to 100 In the app or on screen if u tap on where it says ur charge limit.
    2. If you get into the situation where your phone is wet again, you can just hold the back of your phone up to where you would put the key card to unlock it

I'd suggest keeping a full size spare at home and if you ever get a flat you can have yourself or wife grab it and that will save you from the tow bill but if you do end up getting it towed you still have to wait for Tesla to service the wheel and I've heard stories of them not having the tesla specific tire in sock so you have to wait until they get it delivered.

*Roughly £120k in my portfolio are in tech/TSLA stocks, can I get an advice on any other stocks that I can acquire to diversify my reserve across multiple markets while creating a comprehensive portfolio allocation that balances my concerns of risk aversion and returns that meet yearly inflation*

stocks are overrated now. buy gold , 5% in crypto . rest in cash. and wait for the stock/property/land. price to crash . but them after it stops dropping for 7 - 12 months at the bottom.

I successfully trade in my own portfolio, and also follow others because I'm interested in their strategies. I realized I've got better at managing the trader's strategies too. There's nothing wrong at all with having someone far more dedicated manage some of your portfolio.

Awesome video! Bought a used 2023 M3 just a few weeks before these started coming out.. unfortunately for me I had no idea these were on their way!! However I did get an excellent price and it only had 38k miles.. but easily the best car I’ve ever had! Never had build quality issues, charging issues, or anything! Still wish I had held out a little bit and gotten the 2024 but I will upgrade in the future!

Nice info and great video. My channel is new as well. I bought a used 2018 long range rwd 2 yrs ago with 48k miles. I personally put a 100k miles in a year and a half. I live in Northeast Tx(I know about the roads in AR 😂). Anyway, we traveled all over the US in that car. Beside putting 2 sets of tires on the 3, I paid only $100 to have Tesla mobile service to come out to my house an hour away from the Tesla center to replace one 12 volt battery. The 3 never left me stranded. Even at 148k miles it still changed to 289 in the winter and 300-305 in the summer. I Traded it in for a 2023 Chevy Bolt 2lt. Loving the Bolt and the efficiency. Let’s see how far they will go.
    God Bless,
    Shannon

If you have an iPhone 11 or newer, it has the ultra wide band chip (Apple AirTag tech) which you can enable the car to use in the app, it makes the phone key unlock more reliable. The registration thing varies wildly by state so it’s more difficult in some states, whereas in some states Tesla takes care of it for you. Also, it sucks because the new model 3 has just been released so they had a problem with delivering white interiors and some long range models initially (I went through the same struggles with my model 3 on order) but the model y can get delivered in like a few days-a few weeks new. I feel like Tesla could’ve built more cars or had more communication with us, which is why a lot of people had to switch their order. It’s crazy that we had to go through that again like it was Tesla in 2022.

Maybe why my functioning is so poor because I’m on a 2018 iPhone XR… and yes the ordering process was quite… not the greatest. I will say, 3400 miles later, we are VERY happy with the car. It is above anything we have dealt with and actually glad we were kind of forced to get the black interior. It still looks great and the standard range hasn’t been an issue for us. Since we bought the car we have never even needed to charge elsewhere besides home

You can cancel the update in the first 2 minutes. It will display a countdown actually - i think you can tab the countdown a few times and it will skip it and install instantly.
With the update at night you might have set the car to update at night (?) There should be something in the options, but not sure.

For glove box and majority of functions press down on the microphone button on right side of steering wheel problem solved. I highly recommend pin for glove box and pin to drive. I have them both enabled on my M3 LR. Pin to drive is great that way if your phone is still in Bluetooth range when leaving no one can slip in and drive away with your car

Also I think the buying experience is slightly different in each state. I literally signed every single document on my phone and once I got to the actual Tesla showroom I just found my car unlocked it through the app. There were a few tutorial videos on how to do some things shown on my screen but I definitely had to learn a lot on my own smh.

Well first congratulations 🍾 This is how Tesla operates. We are so use to car dealerships going over everything with us. Tesla wants you to use tutorials on the app and inside your car. Sounds like a very poor experience. I have had similar troubles but fortunately for us in Cincinnati we have a full Tesla dealership and they actually provide you the upfront service you were missing.
The EV Tax is a government issue not a Tesla issue so blame Uncle Sam for that.
You can designate what dealer you want it delivered to, I think you might have missed that step on the ordering sequence. I've made that mistake before as well with my second Tesla, they wanted to ship it to Columbus instead of Cincinnati...
With all that said, you are going to love this car when you get comfortable with it. It's such a great vehicle!

🤔🤔 what you described is exactly how I described it 😂😂 I took delivery of my refreshed M3 LR on March 18 , I was super excited and I was the only one 😅. It felt very lackluster. No one greeted me , I stood there for like 5 min before someone came up to me and I said I'm here to pick up my car. There was no ribbon , my name wasn't on the car , it felt very strange and disappointing as this is my first EV, expensive car and Tesla !! I'm glad I'm part of the Tesla family but come on some enthusiasm would have made the experience better. My dad warned me Tesla communication sucks !!! I get more answers from a wall than Tesla 😂.
I live in Phoenix , when I signed the paperwork they took care of registration for me ( stranger they didn't do that for you , maybe it's a state thing ) I got my plate in like two weeks in the mail. Oh the registration I knew it was going to be a lot , it's over 800 dollars !!!!
But I absolutely love this car !! It puts a smile on my face every time I get inside. I got the stealth grey black interior. I love the tech, minimalism , it is beyond fast and I have the LR !!! , It's quiet , comfortable. I love the ambient lighting, cooled seats ( first time owning a car with cool seats ) they work amazing !! Comes in clutch with AZ heat. I love the stalkless design , no stalks takes a couple of weeks and then it's second nature. It really is a non issue. Auto switching gears when first get into car is awesome!! Works like 99 percent of time but that's why it is beta. When you get ready to get out of the car just take off your seatbelt and the car puts itself in park !! Something so simple yet makes my life so much easier and convenience factor is amazing. I can go on and on
Congrats on your new M3 🎉🎉🎉 your going to love it as do I

    • @itsatrap7215
      @itsatrap7215 11 днів тому +1

Bought car online, did everything in app and email and spent 7 minutes picking it up, was the best experience in buying a car in my life. I showed up at my scheduled pickup time, signed two pieces of paper, employee put my license plate on the car while I linked my phone to be a key, drove off in 7 minutes. I personally could care less about them trying to make me feel warm and fuzzy inside which accomplishes nothing. I just want the car I am buying, and the experience was way better than spending 3 hours in a dealership trying to price gouge me the whole time and wait for me to make mistakes from fatigue during the 3 hours to not get scammed for more money while over charging to begin with. The experience was amazing to buy a car at MSRP, no one tries to upcharge at dealership and make it another $8K and argue about it to get like $3K off after hours.

This is one thing that turns me off about Tesla, their non existent customer support and experience. You feel like they are doing you a favor of buying their vehicles. I ended up canceling the order. I placed an order and got simply a Don't call us we call you kind of thing. No information, one guy just send up a message saying contact me for any questions ... that was his last reply after placed an order an waited. Very different thing you experience with every other dealer, you get greeted right away when you visit ... yeah some guys can be pushy but its not a big deal, they make you feel like they want your business and you money matters. Tesla does nothing of that, its like they don't care.
