I found you're channel while searching for tips on setting up Reaper on Linux and also JackAudio. This video was extremely helpful. Hopefully you find the time to make more content as it's really good. I was shocked that you didn't have more than 50k subs.
hey Franz! just wanted to thank you for all the effort put into the making of the video. I'm currently transitioning to the linux-based setup (gone with ubuntu studio) and this kind of material gives me hope that I might be able to dump the windows dual boot entirely :)
Hey! Thank you very much! I think Ubuntu Studio is a good distro to begin with! Some good audio software is already installed and some things that you need to do "manually" in Debian, are not required in Ubuntu studio. If I am not wrong it also has rt kernel already installed?
@@FranzCorrado comes with 5.8.0-33-lowlatency #36-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT, but I'm not sure about the benefits of low latency over rt. doing things manually definately has its perks as it forces you to consider how various parts of the system work together. with ubuntu studio, it's all there, but I don't really know what why I'm getting certain things in the first place. do you have any recommendations on books/articles that could serve as an introduction to audio in linux? I've looked but no success thus far

copied the scripts on jack in the parts you said (i'm currently using Linux Mint) and after jack starts any playback from web pauses and keeps on buffering, i've read on some sites the same script but using pactl instead of pacmd, is it the same? writing this in case someone has this exact issue in the furute, great and nice informative video man!!!!!!!!!!
