The bottom line is fear is critical for a good long and successful life. I read that her Amygdala was damaged or that she hasn't got it anymore, so really, she wouldn't even be scared at all and I highly doubt she is scared because she wouldn't have held it close to her face. My amygdala is partially damaged and I don't feel hardly anything anymore, so I can happily imagine that the lady you're talking about isn't scared at all
My intrusive thoughts would win if I had that condition lol 😂
What would life be like without fear? In a word - Short.
I know the woman's name is s.m but I was trying to figure it out what it stands for can someone please help me out.
Probably her first and last name, as it usually is, and I imagine she is staying anonymous by having her name like that, or it's just an easier way to remember her individual case.
I would not wish zero fear on anybody, without fear I would have died in the boxing ring a long time ago rather than be a successful fighter. The most successful people Ive met truly fear ordinary life dangers like most people. But the outstanding quality is that they manage fear to drive risk into a dark area of the performance curve where many would lose their shit. The bottom line is fear is critical for a good long and successful life. The best have such power and control it seems almost like they chose their fear to profit from it, and not let fear destroy them and their dreams.
@Pecker wood Where do you live man?? If it is like the war zone you painted, then who am I tell you how to control fear better than the people who live in your hood? Those around you probably more scared than you are, you just dont know it until you have conference with trusted people in your hood. Besides I was talking about comfort zone fears, not war zone fears, two completely different things from the perspectives of choices in life, objectives and goals.
Are you saying psychopaths aren't successful?
I'm telling you that many successful businessmen and politicians were psychopaths and psychopaths can never feel fear due to their abnormal amygdala.
Get yourself a brain.
@@gideonjackward1603 Who said anything about Psychopaths? How do you know all Psychos are successful? What about the Psychos who are victims of their own impulsive behaviour? Also, not every successful CEO, Surgeon, Lawyer or anyone making life and death decision is a psychopath. What do you mean ‘Were psychopaths’ ? They are untreatable, Psychos are from cradle to gravel, I recommend strongly that you take your own advice on brain growth.
She can get friends who can gear her from truly dangerous situations.
I am surprised how she did not do anything that put her life in direct danger, such as jumping from a high place or standing in the way of a speeding car??
She is soooooooo lucky! I want mine removed but I'm scared of the health wise consequences :( she's so lucky
Probably do you good considering stress is only meant to bring on strokes and heart disease.
people with urbach wiethe disease are often too trusting of others and don't have a sense of being uncomfortable. They would hug and physically make themselves uncomfortably close to strangers, for example.
fk this would be useful for war.
why black and white
Anyone else here from Brothers Grimm?
Why would she hide her identity?
KING JOE she’s an alien
Her identity is protected to prevent exploitation by outsiders based on her condition.
@@wickedrose why tho
@@meowpoosaymeow because then every smart ass out there would want to test her, criminals could threaten her and her family, she could be harrased daily by journalists or curious people, it would be a nightmare on all fronts, we're lucky enough that she consented to being tested and aided research, but a full blown identity reveal would be pushing the envelope too far.
I came here to see what we would be like if everyone had an amygdalotomy.
Amygdala removal leads to yang sanpaku eyes
It is easy to remove amygdala you just gotta train your subconsious mind enough with affirmations to accept change and ALLOW change and transformation in body mind and spirit that guarantees you can THEN
remove it with Affirmations that u listen to daily alone..
and yes it works.. .how do i know ? well FEELING IT... but believing is the biggest key here if u now come at me with "hey this Can NOT work" well so be it for "YOU" :P
bs
she does not have fear because she is missing an amygdala but can feel pain hmmmm...how does that work.
I think that fear like like a very specific type of pain. The parts of the brain ,that deal with physical pain for instance, are unaffected.
pain is different than fear, fear is an emotion. We have receptors all over our body for pain but fear originates in the amygdala in the brain.

I wish we were all like SM. If we didn't have amygdalas, then we would not scream like little girls.
no such thing as normal or etc or problem about it, do things not fear things, otherx, idts
It is impossible of having no fear. You are fear of death, fear of demons, fear to God, etc...
Did you hear the video?
+eDivverse yes?!
Justine Atega There are people of no fear to demons and god which are atheists. There are people not afraid of death, usually bipolar people.
She has one fear and one fear only...the elevation of carbon dioxide in the blood caused by an uncontrollable external threat.
Well, I'm not afraid of demons or God/s because I cannot know of their existence. So for me, I can't be afraid of something that doesn't exist. In terms of death, well people who commit suicide aren't afraid of death. I'm also not afraid of death in terms of the "ceasing to exist" aspect of it. I'm just afraid of what comes immediately before death because usually there's much pain and suffering involved. But, death itself isn't scary to me. Once you're dead, you're dead. No pain, nothing. That sounds like eternal bliss to me.
