Such an underrated album!! I was hooked on it in high school and recently picked it up again. Sadly, it's not even on iTunes. Definitely deserved a wider audience.
Omg i remember this ...my teenage vhs recording mtv for boring grandmas house days ....oh how i miss that time..and the grandma....thank you so for posting.i worried id never hear this tune again
I was a Pumpkinhead searching for Wackass Tuba Riffs when I was a lil one and I finally found it in an obscure bin in the year 2000 (whoa, sounds dystopian, right?)! This album made my teenage years way better than they should've been. I absolutely needed the never-ending optimism of Fulflej's lyrics. "Microwave" has always been a stand-out jam for me..."whatever comes on is what I see." I love how most songs on this album build up to a heightened climax. Love "Work In This Universe" and will forever love Fulflej. Thanks for posting this.
I'm really glad you shared your story. I first discovered them by their little promo clip for "Shift into Turbo" for the Power Rangers Turbo movie when I was 6 years old. Fast forward ten years later, and here I am thinking that they were the "band"' that made the Power Rangers music (didn't know it was just one guy). But even after realizing it wasn't true, I still love what they're about. "Microwave" is poignant to me too, because it talks about ultimate triumph despite not having the latest "necessities" of society, and challenges the notion of "survival of the fittest". Nice to know you!
Thanks for posting this! I actually worked in the art department on this video. I was just going through my resume & thought I would look it up and see if it was posted on UA-cam. And here it is!😄🤓🤩
It reminds me a bit of an event I heard about then called Kaiju Big Battel that used to be staged @ some venue in Boston. Ppl in outlandish costumes would wrestle on a set w/ a miniature cityscape while bands played musical accompaniment.

Highlight: James Iha coming into the crumbling room -with perfect draped hair- and doin' the EL-Bow at 3:01...
There are some great alternative rock bands out there. Fulflej 💓💓💓
