Feel so bad for Cal. Every 'Jedi' he finds turns out to be bad, retired, unwilling, or something along those lines. No one is championing the good fight like he is...
And despite this, his resolve is inspiring and admirable.
It does help keep Yoda's lines to like consistent though

The best way to proceed first is to take this kind of force wielders to a planet where the force is on balance.
Once the external factors are sealed, the rest of that is a psychological matter and the power to subjugate this unstable beings.
Perhaps Cal did not have neither the power or the intelligence or maybe, the time to operate this way

@@Senzow1 It was necessary. Taron wouldn't back down and was actually driven mad by the planet and his quest for power. He wouldn't yield even after Cal tried appealing to him as a Jedi. Order 66 really fucked lots of Jedi up.
Of all the things canon did better than legends Kyber Crystal bleeding is one of them. I also like how the Crystal’s color is dependent on the force user who wields it. It makes them feel more magical and mystic rather than the person going around the galaxy finding a random colored crystal and making a lightsaber out of it.
This is what was very well portrayed in the Ninth Jedi episode of SW Visions.
I like the bleeding part. I don't like how now the color of the crystal is random. Depends on who weilds it. Imagine wanting a yellow blade but you end up getting blue like everyone else

Dagan is an interesting character and that make the High Republic a lot more & more interesting than ever before. I really want to see a show or movie with this character as well others during this time period of Star Wars.

Have to respectfully disagree, Taron Malicos turned to the dark side as a means to survive Dathomir, however Dathomir drove him insane.
Dagn turned to the dark side over real estate.
Respawn gets it. They get this franchise. They get Star Wars. They get it.
Having the force meter be refilled through getting lightsaber hits rather than just regenerating on its own seems to go against the jedi code.
Using violence and pain to regain strength in the force is something the sith would do, not the jedi.

@@cadkls Minor spoiler, but there's a perk that gives you passive regen, but the force bar is reduced in size.
A great perk imo. The regen is quite fast and it really helps being able to use crowd control on higher difficulties without getting into melee range.

I really liked seeing the nihil storm cloud on the horizon. It was brief but they have done a great job

I was playing this game alone in my room at night just after it came out and when Dagan looks straight at you and goes "you're not here, you're not supposed to be here" I almost freaked out for a sec. It felt like one of those creepypastas of a "haunted game" where the character starts talking to you through the screen or something

The 1st time I. Can recall ever seeing the corruption (bleeding) of a crystal. Amazing scene, and also a very cool character. He was DECEPTIVELY difficult to defeat.
Dagen is such a Cool Character. The Concept of a High Republic Jedi who Survived after all those Years is So Interesting.
1:53 FINALLY someone else sees it. He was a badass character but i wish more was done with him personally.
You'd think Dagan would instantly try to murder a squadron or two of stormtroopers...
Wish we got more to see him in action against the MAIN antagonists. Regardless of it, this game and their games were TRULY amazing.

U cant bleed your crystal orange as far as I know. It’s just an extremely rare color like purple. It stands for being an extremely skilled warrior. But maybe they’ll add to the canon with the Ahsoka show
While it might be more to deal with skill as @Nsugga AMV said, I think it might be he considers himself a fallen Jedi or a disgrace. Fallen Jedi-- not Sith-- sometimes bleed their lightsabers a different color to signify it if I recall.
@@thisisabackupemail2264 you know its a theory the orange Color Stands for a force user that’s extremely skilled in combat in legends and that it’s like how purple is a mixture of Red and Blue (meaning both sides of the force) it’s the same way with orange just that it originates from the yellow color (as far as i know the rarest color you can get as a Jedi) just that it adds a little bit more dark (red) in it which creates orange. So basically a Good Force user that knows the dark side aswell
i think it bled orange becuase cal interrupted him, or maybe its just the way he bled it like the intention behind it might be what bleeds a crystal orange not fully surrendering to the ways of the darkside perhaps its a selfish kind of anger that bleeds it orange

Dagan Gera reminds me of Count Dooku and has become another favorite of mine. If they release another comic from this game with him, I'll buy it.

My theory about the orange-red color of the blade is emotions. That is, the emotion, the feeling that you put into the crystal, becomes that color. Here is an example of red color, it is anger and hatred. But as in the case of Dagan, I think there was fear and anger for the sake of salvation because did not bleed to the end. Green color - is something like calm and wisdom. Blue - is like concentration and obstinacy. Yellow - like pacifism. Purple - like anger with concentration with control of it. White - like freedom of your joice or healing of the fallen crystal.
Well actually,
Blue - Signifies that a Jedi prefers fighting with lightsabers than using the force.
Green - Jedi who like to use the force and only rely on lightsabers as a last resort.
Yellow - Jedi who equally favor lightsaber combat and using and studying the force.
Orange - Same as yellow but the jedi have a hint of darkness within them.
Purple - Jedi who use the dark side of the force but don’t get consumed in it.
Red - Jedi who are consumed by the dark side. Dark Jedi and Sith both use this color. This color is not natural and can only be achieved by bleeding the Kyber crystal.
White - When someone reverses the bleeding of the kyber crystal like Ahsoka who turned the crystal white after taking it from an inquisitor.

It's a shame he didn't play this on Jedi Grand Master, and even so he still hasn't even beat the game yet and it's not like he's trying to find all the items/echos either i've watched him run right past a few obvious ones.

Every Jedi order from different times lines has an Anakin Skywalker type of Character I reckon obviously Anakin is Very Special because he is the chosen one consived by the Force but every order through out time has a Dagan gera , a Revan , a Anakin Skywalker, and a Ben Solo.
There will always be Jedi that struggle with the dark side.

If you compare the color to a red lightsaber that you can get for beating the game, you can see that Dagans lightsaber is orange. The same color we see in the Ashoka trailer. Pretty interesting.

What difficulty is theory playing on? I’m playing Jedi master and the amount of power ups Dargan Cera used every time I would attack was insane compared to this
Looks like Jedi Knight, on Grand Master he 3- or 4-shots you depending on your max health

You can tell the difficulty by where the dot is on the bottom left ui. If it is too left it is the easiest to the bottom right as the second hardest and 2 dots being hardest. The dot is on the bottom right so it is second hardest difficulty

He didn't know where Dagan was. He even said he had been looking for him before Cal showed up. He followed Cal there and that's how he found him.

Any darksider uses a bled crystal, not just sith. For example the inquisitors - none of them are sith. The knights of Ren aren’t sith. A bled Crystal is literally just pouring rage and anger into a kyber Crystal. Possibly he felt yellow no longer represented his true nature (peacekeeping)
You don't have to be a Sith to bleed the kyber, as long as they know how and have the rage they can attempt it

@@tome7998 Bleeding a Kyber Crystal and corrupting it with the Dark Side makes the blade a lot more powerful especially in the hands of the one who bled it.

Anybody else wish these disney dark jedi would just keep their lightsaber colors regular instead of bleeding them? How do they even know how to bleed them, or are Sith practices like that just common knowledge?
Dagan is cringe. So many cringe NPCs in this game too. It’s like the Eye of Sauron got her claws all over the sequel after the first one did well without her and she couldn’t let the next one go by without massive interference.
