Dude his storylines made me 100000x madder about what Disney has done to Star Wars. I couldn’t get enough of this. These redux’s are amazing.
What has Disney done to Star Wars? Compared to what (you think) the story of Star Wars was intended to be, what has it become?
The reason Disney is making so crappy stories is because of you actually.
What I mean with this is that all I see in the comment sections (here and on the original channel) is dumb praise. "Oh this is so brilliant, the best Star Wars story I ever heard, blah blah blah." You know what? Jarjar Abrams and Rian Johnson received dumb praise, too, just from other people. But it was just as dumb.
I'm not saying this story is crap, but it's not brilliant either. It's a fanfic, but it's only decent and would need still a lot of work. Dumb praise however creates artists that think they're infallible. That's what I'm criticizing here. Be a bit more real and don't dispense your praise as if it were worth nothing.

The prequels and sequels have a different theme and vibe, but fundamentally suffer from the same issues, they haven't been thought through, just slapped together. That's what I see people do who lack creativity. They like something and want to create something on their own and call themselves artists. But what they do is recreating the memory of the cool thing they saw, they essentially copy the original without noticing what they did.
The prequels and sequels don't really have a story to tell, like the originals. Just try to summarize the plot, for example. In the originals it's a hero's journey, he saves a princess, he trains in galactic powers, he destroys a superweapon, but then gets betrayed by someone working for the bad guys, and then in a big battle he destroys another superweapon with the rest of the bad guys. Right?
How would you describe the prequels? A hero is picked up somewhere and participates in a war. And then he... hm, he is in love...? And it's a like a villains journey, he turns evil, why though? Is he manipulated to do so? To save his princess, which he then chokes. And then... he destroys the good guys? I run into a problem there, can you do a better summary? Or try the sequels! If you can't summarize the films well, then that usually means there is no story to tell, it is just stuff happening that's supposed to look cool, but deep down we don't know why it's happening. It's just slapped together.
The originals' story isn't something grandiose, but it's well executed and is coherent. Despite being cheesy as fk sometimes, it makes sense! And there's emotional weight, the story has atmosphere where you feel what the protagonists feel. Like when you see Vader you gonna think "oh crap, is Luke gonna survive this?", and we know the impact this would have with either side winning. While when you see Darth Maul (appearing out of nowhere, aka stuff's just happening) you gonna think "oh, we have a cool battle at our hands!". Would the film even have ended differently, if Maul had won? In the clone wars he's resurrected anyway, and why? Because someone thought he's cool. Lot's and lot's of tiny problems everywhere.
George Lucas isn't a good writer, his ideas were nice, but he needs someone to polish those. If I were to do that, the first thing I'd ask him would be what it is he actually wants to tell. Hopefully his answer wouldn't be "about this cool battle on the cool planet with these cool weapons". That'd be something I'd expect Jarjar Abrams to say....

Well, duh! You can't prove Game of Thrones is an amazing book series either! Except by statistics, essentially collecting opinions, since stories are for people and most people simply dislike the prequels (disliked them even more before the sequels introtuced them to a new low), but not the OT. I told you why, and you are asking for a proof, goddamn that is some VERY stupid request. You can like the prequels if you want, but don't be so stupid to ask people for proofs when their opinion doesn't align with yours. You're just being a pain to talk to, then.

I imagine in an alternate universe the sequel trilogy is an absolute triumph and Disney is rolling in cash in perpetuity because of the extremely happy fanbase. I wish I could be excited about Star Wars again. It's all so hopeless.
Disney bought it with destruction in mind. Money was never the goal. I know this flies in the face of the "greedy Capitalist" programming we all have.
They could also have made so much money!
Prism did a fantastic job with his rewriting of ep 7&8. Craziest part was it only took him a couple of weeks to write the final scripts. Disneys failure is now fully complete. This will bring on many fan fiction that will be far better then what they gave us. Do your story swt I can only imagine it will be far better than what we got
AND now people figured out how to move from Expanded Universe books to storytelling with visuals. It will only get better! Watch Disney try to plug this with IP threats and lawsuits
Geez, this is what we deserved from Disney. I teared up more than once. It’s gripping, it tells the story of the characters that we love, and didn’t stray too far from what we know. Incredible stuff man
This is roughly like what i would've thought of when I was 6 in 2005. Of course not is such depth but this is how our stories would play out with my friends and out action figures.
Damn! I got chills when Luke talked to Anakin, goddamn this is leaps and bounds way better than what Disney did. Disney should be ashamed . This is a movie I would had loved to see!

I like to make it in my head canon that the fan made sequel Han, Luke. And Leia are called Harry, Jake, and Carrie. Who resemble older versions of the original trilogy protagonists. Except that they witness the fall of the republic and recently witness the fall of the empire. And so far. There are imperial remnants who are mixed opinion on dealing with the new republic. Maybe even two new republics of the galaxy. Aurebesh. And Lukas. Aurebesh is the main new republic of the old legends universe. Lukas is based on the new republic of Disney canon. But it has more backstory and details than the actual sequels could. And so there’s two new republics and the real Han, leia, and Luke are dealing with enemy imperial remnants. And the older trio are out there wanting their new republic for the future of their citizens. And these people are our young upstart protagonists. Poe. pilot fanboy of Han Solo and student of the old Harry. Ben Swolo. Distant cousin of Han Solo. Who had his force powers when he was an infant and was sent to the Jedi temple as a youngling. and hid during order 66 and the imperial rule. His deep hatred of the empire wanted his inner force to be let out. This caused him to get into trouble with the empire and had inquisitors hunting him down. But Jake Hamill. A former Jedi master who hid from order 66 after the clones killed his Jedi friends and militia. A militia made of republic mercenaries and not clone troopers. A friend of Rahm Kota. Who is with the force after the battle of Yavin. Trained Luke to hone his Jedi student skills and after Cloud City, he helped him reconstruct a new lightsaber and convinced him to make a new Jedi order that is different from the old Jedi order. He trained Ben Swolo in the ways of the force. He had dark side inbedded with him. That maybe some Jedi order guidance would make him disciplined. He was a proud Jedi. In the post Palpatine era. Son of an alderaan curator. Carrie. Carrie kept some of the artifacts that originated from Alderaan. And after Alderaan’s destruction, she vowed to make the empire pay and also hunted down culture and treasures that were apart of Alderaan. Even used the Dragon Balls to wish for a new Alderaan. However though. It cannot recreate an obliterated planet prior to its destruction. Instead. It can recreate a new earth like planet. And so a new Alderaan had to be made from scratch. And had the surviving alderaan people to come here. Set a few years after Palpatine’s death. As well as after the battle of Jakku where it formed the new republic of Lukas. This sort of story can make both sequel fans and post return Jedi fans of legends universe happy too.
This version was so good I immediately showed two of my best friends, it’s all we talked about for weeks. The second one dropped a few weeks ago
I think you should do something like this, but do it like an old radio play with voice actors and a narrator to fill in the details.
Force sleep spell throws Theory a little bit but I have to say thats in the books. Also Ben did it to Rey in one of the Movies, did he forget? That's how he captures her in the woods.
I watched all three of these videos; I was hooked. I must admit that I got a little emotional in parts too.
When i 1st heard about the sequal trilogy and the fact we would be seeing our heros once again i couldn't contain my excitement.....there was so much potential to make something truly great....so many possibilities to wind up the skywalker saga in a way as epic as it all began 40 years ago...if not more.....instead they turned our hero who fought for good against all odds, never giving up, into a sniveling shadow of his former self, who when the going got tough chose to run and hide in a cave.....they have palpatine one of the most power sith and force users there are destroyed in seconds ny a teenage girl holding 2 lightsabers....he can make a force lightning storm blazing acrossed the sky but cant stand up to a little girl......man so much lost potential

The Overlord DVD leaks about Lucas enshrining KKs position at the top in the sale of Lucasfilm; only for her to turn on everybody who put her there and reject the Lucas scripts he had left with her for the sequel trilogy should tell you everything you need to know about whether the Disney sequels could have been good. This is good, really good! I like how it takes things that were brought to us by the real sequels, the Force Awakens, in this case, but adds so much to it. Content, scenarios, a few really cool twists and turns. Surprisingly, I kinda want to believe that this could have been done and brought to the big screen. Well, not this story line, no. But something like it.
I also like how there are hints, here and there, that point towards some of the books that tell the story after the Return of the Jedi (now considered EU). Not too much on the Thrawn-trilogy, yet. I wonder if he's going to make an appearance in the next What ifs.. I remember reading about a sun killer or something in one of them... I was so confused!
Had a good laugh too. That sleeping spell... A little odd for Star Wars, I'll admit (though, Theory's reaction was priceless!). I think the creator of this was going for the Force ability that Kylo Ren used on Rey, I think it was on their first encounter?
And yes! Would definitely love to see some of your fan fictions, Theory, done in this manner! Though, I agree, the AI voice over is a little... Meh. But other than that, a cool concept!

Better job than Disney and Jar jar abrams, but for episodes 7, 8 and 9 to be awesome, all they had to do was put George Lucas' postlogy scripts on screen, as kathleen kennedy promised to Lucas.

So this is an AI voice reading a fan written story and I teared up during the Han Solo death scene in this one while the same scene in the actual movie we got just pissed me off. This story would have made an amazing Star Wars movie. And I think it would have made Disney a billion dollars.
The only thing I think I would have changed would have been the entrance of the Emperor at the end. Palpatine is dead. He died in return of the Jedi. That's the end of him. It's time for a new big bad.
I think I could watch things like this more than I watch movies, I am digging the story narration with awesome images about a new Star Wars story.
Theory, if you could do a sequel trilogy you should include Ben along with Han & Leia’s other Children from Legends and Luke’s Son Ben Maybe with a different name.

I do like this version, and I’ll take anything over the Disney sequels, but it feels a little off. I’m not sure exactly what’s weird about it, but it might just be the darker story, and Palpatine is just a little strange showing benevolence and transferring to other bodies. Still, I think it’s an interesting version and I really like the character growth, especially having Rey as a Dark Side Chosen One

B😮efore the last Jedi I thought the force awakens was extremely awesome. I thought it was the best done Star wars movie to date when I first watched it. But I also had a vision of what was going to be next.... Which was obviously going to be a whole lot with the old cast. I feel like people are lying to themselves if they don't think the force awakens was amazing upon release and thinking about what was to come next. JJ Abrams should have stuck with it. Disney should have never let it go willy-nilly with different directors. It's sad that the force awakens kind of sucks now because of the next two movies were that bad ....but it was amazing when it release!

The Empire shows up to the senate and shows a video of Leia's group fighting. Tells the republic it wants conquest.

I feel like someone is looking too close to the dumb shit happening in the real world and trying to spin it for SW and it just doesn't work because that was literally the plot of the original story. The corruption build up till the fall of the republic and the rise of the Empire. This video is just that same thing done in an absurdly shorter period of time. This part didn't work for me, personally. The Empire wiped out the senate and nearly dominated the galaxy and we are to believe that the remnants of the Empire are like "nah, we cool!" and they just believe it?

This was okay but still made a few mistakes. The 2 biggest was 1 there wouldn't be any death star wreckage, and 2 they still named him Ben Solo.
I Liked it! For sure has some interesting dynamics. I was hoping for a bit more of a reaction/ breakdown here. You should do one like this, the narration and art really brings it together.
I would just leave out the Emperors resurrection/ cloning. Still seems like bad writing/ set up. Snoke can be made into compelling Sith if given enough time to build up, and not killed with a surprise twist attack just for shock value.
Within the next 5-10 years creators will be able to generate an entire film via AI, with decent resemblance to the actors looks and voices. The rewrites we'll get will be amazing

I think this would a be cool new way to tell your stories. But you should collaborate with an AI artist and or a digital artist so your story boards will reflect your narrative exactly. Otherwise you will probably spend more time trying to find photos to fit your stories.
The saddest thing about the new trilogy is that it seems everyone but the Disney crew had way better ideas. It should have been real easy hell they could’ve just used legends ( the true canon) but nope they thought they new better … they were wrong.

Dude I'm already more interested in this than the shitty sequels. It's a concise straight forward story that reads well and tracks. All except why Poe always looks like he just shit his flight suit and it's running down his leg.

This actually makes me mad. This is one possible fan alternative. Written by one fan. ONE. And it is SO MUCH better than the sequels that an entire team of "professional" writers gave us. What an absolute embarrassment Disney is. The worst part is that something like this, something that the universe of Lucas truly deserved, will never happen...because our beloved trio is no more and the two that remain are just too old.
hollywood scripts go through tons of "refinement" as they are developed and touched by too many hands, and sometimes the end results become something entirely different from the original vision in the process. it becomes too optimized and too sanitized for sake of "average viewers". we aren't allowed to have "boring parts" anymore in films, even if they are important for a well paced cohesive story.
That is why reductive ‘AI’ is putting all those writers out if work; because it can, because they are garbage!!

@@JefferyCheney i think that's letting them off the hook too easily. they KNOW the complaints people are making about their films, but they still make the same mistakes with EVERY NEW PRODUCTION. they are obviously not interested in making money at this point. they are being forced to do this by someone or something, and whatever the controllers intentions are, profit isn't the motive.
@SetZor666 I think the stakeholders are in it for money. ESG score etc was pitched as a way to increase this via positive public image. Unfortunately, this led them to hire a ton of activists and/or outright incompetent bafoons....which in turn leads to what you describe. An organization that eats itself because box office failure is because racism, not because lack of interest or bad reviews.
This story is well written and doesn't really abandons Legends. Ben is still a Jedi and Luke is still has the courage and confidence from Legends. And Rey appearing as a Sith fits well.

Adam Driver did alright…at least, as good a job as he could have with his script. A shame really…he really is a good actor, and this ruined his chances of getting a good role in any films
This is how I felt while watching it. I see the plot holes and lack of character development in real time. I enjoy almost no movies or shows these days. They're all riddled with plot holes, terrible dialogue and character actions that don't fit their personalities and motivations. It's like all the mainstream writers forgot how to create challenging situations for their heroes, so they just make the heroes do really stupid stuff to drive the plot.
I've seen this and another, I think the last jedi concept. After watching these two videos, this is now established canon for me as I've pretty much forgotten the sequel trilogy. It feels so much better to imagine the characters we love with the character development and ending they deserve. I can get behind this rey, Finn, po, Luke, pretty much everyone was given proper treatment to their characters and roles. Will always be grateful to this individual for what they created. Kylo is way better in this story. Rey has depth. Just awesome. Still holding onto hope that someone outside of Disney (fan film maybe) can show an accurate portrayal of the yuuzhan vong going up against the NJO. It could be epic and have elements of a horror film, as they are frightening and way more of a threat to the jedi
I think to do a proper Yuuzhan Vong live action adaptation, it would need an incredibly high budget, dedicated&talented team members across the board from the top to bottom, either a full Saga of 6 films at the very minimum, or several seasons if it’s TV show length, &a deep love&appreciation for the entire Star Wars legacy; Legends most of all of course, along with being able to retcon current cannon or branch off into an alternative timeline. I have always wanted to see the NJO/Yuuzhan Vong as a live action adaptation, but I fear that we won’t get that. If we do, it won’t do justice to it at all…

Because the fans love the source material and don't want the betray the character arcs of the first trilogy. This noble sacrifice would even have satisfied Harrison Ford's wish for Han to die. But no, they all have to be lowered to elevate a Mary-Sue.
Because the entire disney trilogy was laughably bad horse shit. Anyone could write a better story. People shouldn't forgive disney for making this shit. It's like they did it on purpose. As a writer, I don't see how it's possible for trained professionals to write that poorly, if their intention is to make a good movie.

When Anakin said to Luke "What does your heart tell you" I legit teared up... That's brilliant dialogue. Those are the same words Shmi said to Anakin to comfort him before leaving tatooine. I literally can't believe I teared up in an Ai video 😅
Fuck I didn't even make the Shmi connection! TBH I teared up at Anakin finally having the ability (albeit from the afterlife) to be a caring, loving father.
The writing in this was masterful.
Its nice but fan fiction writers re using dialogue is tired and wouldn't feel right in a feature production.

If Rey really is of Palpatine's lineage then her being trained as a Sith fits so much better.
i thought there was a rumor that JJ Abrams had left her past as a mystery so that there could be some character changing reveal for her, that she had been trained as a sith but was taken and memory erased or something. but nah, she's got famous bad guys blood and that means she is better than trained from birth jedis in combat and the force. rian johnson went against all that because in real life women are just naturally good at shit and better than any man. so rey's really just a normal kid from nobody parents and the force just happens to be female.
@@SetZor666 Rian is the one that decided Rey had no ancestry. JJ was always hinting at something greater. Palpatine existing after Vader turned good is insulting to the story.
Having her be a Sith that turns and joins the Jedi is also a good way of telling a "your heritage doesn't define you" story as well.

This is the type of story that someone can tell when they don't start with a mandate of sidelining Luke, Leia and Han and the storyteller obviously cares a great deal for continuing the already existing story rather than winning political points.

This is bittersweet. I’m blown we didn’t get something that truly pays homage to GLSW. I want to go back and love the sequels but I can’t. As Anakin once said, I want more. I want more with these characters, properly executed.
The series is amazing! Best fan fiction production I’ve seen in awhile.
This is just so damned good! THIS is the sequel trilogy we needed, it is what the fans deserved. So many moments where we see Luke, Leia and Han together in one episode. And the new characters are more rounded and developed!
Dude this is so good, starting the movie with the new Jedi would have given us a fresh perspective, and then Ben burning it down would be mirroring order 66. “It’s like poetry, it rhymes.”
Also, the story beats are very similar to Episode 1:
Jedi temple, Sith return, mentor dies….
I hate the poetry it rhymes concept. They should not rhyme but do something new otherwise its just repetitive.

(I.E. The Force Awakens and A New Hope) I think it is very possible to honor the previous films while still making a fresh, new, and creative movie. There is a fine line between copying and honoring in my head
@@nerdvisions4625 The honouring should come form continuity of world building and lore and building on that. The problem we have is with Disney they just recycle ideas. They had loads of EU stories to draw from and they just closed themselves off to it. That was dumb. They push high republic when the hard-core fans want Old Republic. They don't have a clue.
Man let me tell you all, all three of the videos of this series are some of the best story telling of any Star Wars since George Lucas 70s-80s Star Wars films. It is that good.
Theory I would love for you to literally write your own fan made sequel trilogy. I feel you are the only one capable and dedicated enough to fill the hole in Star Wars fan’s hearts that Disney left. I can’t imagine how amazing it would be.
I personally think that no one can write the perfect sequel trilogy, and Theory would have stuff in his that I may disagree with.. but if it is consistent and follows what came before and respects the lore, I'd be the biggest fan, no matter who wrote it

Let's be honest, we'd probably balk at Lucas' original script for the sequels. But they'd most assuredly be better than Disney, because George cares.

People always made fun of fanfiction, but the truth is that there are a lot of masterpieces out there and those are most definitely worth reading. It baffles me that noone ever uses them as inspiration. That said, the biggest problem with fanfiction is that quite a lot of them are unfinished...
I liked that he didn’t create his own canon but reworked what they tried to tell. It’s levels better then the sequels we got. Amazing what good writing and care for characters do.
Ps. It’s a great idea theory to tell ff with ai art giving visuals to the story.
