Ginger tip. I buy a knob, peel it, and grate on my micro plane. Then I freeze it and simply pull out the amount I need for my recipe. I found I prefer it over the tubes. Love your channel!🧡

Great vlog. Temperatures we’re actually mild here for winter in South Jersey for a little bit. However recently we got a cold spell and got some snow and are expecting a little bit more like 2 to 4 inches. Haven’t had to deal with the negative temperatures like you all though stay warm persevere spring is around the corner. 😊
My coworker puts most berries in mason jars after complely cleaning & drying. Pops in mason jars and into fridge. She checks after hr or 2 to see if any moisture in jar. If so she takes out redries & back in jars. She swears by this. Claims fruit, veggies last much longer. I'm trying this method next shopping trip .

We are freezing right along with you in MN with negative degree weather, but I'm jealous of your snow! If it's going to be cold it at least should be pretty outside. We had a brown Christmas and currently only 1 inch of snow😢 We like snowmobiling & skiing so send some flakes our way!

Move to down state New York! It rarely hits 0°, we still have all 4 seasons, only get mild & infrequent hurricanes, & don't have those nasty animals you mentioned!
Love the dogs. I have two dogs. A pit bull mix and a terrier mix. They have an aldi sweater. Your puppers are adorable. Mine are both rescue dogs. One from a kill shelter and one at our family cemetery. They are brothers now.

Hi Jen, In MI we don’t have the amount of snow you have, but we have bone chilling cold. I haven’t shopped for groceries since December 20th, eating out of my freezer and pantry. I need to restock my groceries. I am waiting for next week when it gets to 31 degrees on Monday. I could use a new mattress, I will check out Hellix. Thanks Jen. The cold snap finally broke. I still have 10 inches of snow, but the -30 temps were crazy.

OMG, I am laying in bed watching this with the AC cranked! N Florida was pretty cool yesterday (cool for Florida) at 45 but today we’re back up to the 70’s. This weekend we’re off to Tennessee and it should be some of the coldest temps I’ve ever been in. I’m totally looking forward to it because I hate being hot.

Have you heard the avacado tricks...store in a bowl of cold water in frig to delay ripening and put in a paper bag to ripen.

Kevin’s Cauli & Cheese is so good, as is their mashed. I buy it every time. I have tried to find their adult pj’s but they are continually sold out. I bought a ton of the Valentines treats to give to friends. So reasonable in price.

I always love when Milo makes an appearance. He’s so cute. I’m the one that has the same dog that is the same age as Milo. I wish we were neighbors so I could have Milo over for a play date with my Rowdy. Their energy would match. Anyway I loved that drawer organizer you found at Aldi. ALDIs is always freezing no matter what the weather is outside. I complain all the time. It’s makes you want to get the heck out of there. I live in Texas. I can’t imagine how cold ALDIs must be outside of Texas.

Weight loss is always a struggle. I am transitioning to the carnivore diet. I hate the word diet. Lol
I just eat more meats, eggs, and cheeses. I so love my carbs, though. Lol
I love my veggies and fruits. I just love food!
I have noticed results, though.
I gained 15 pounds during the winter break. Ugh!
So, I shifted and boom! Two weeks and those 15 pounds dropped fast. I suppose it's just the inflammation and water weight. But, I feel so much better!
I definitely included my electrolyte drinks. You're using a good one. LMNT is rated high. I just haven't invested in that yet. It's not too expensive. The bulk is actually less than $1 a packet.

I'm in central Illinois. Its freaking cold..I put on 5 layers to take my dog out! Poor little thing we have a 12 year old chihuahua that hates to wear a sweater ! 😡 hates. So we run out and run in..lol she will let me wipe her feet tho. Then back in a blanket..spoiled..And more cold coming! But, like you said, no alligators...

Negative 45???? Look, I know you were joking about why are you living in the COLD but maybe you and Adam should consider some place with more temperate winter temps, lol. I live in western Washington state and yes, it’s an El Niño year but we’ve had 4-5 days of under 25 degrees the entire winter and the cumulative snowfall for my area for 2024 is about 1-3 inches and none of it stuck. Bonus, we’re less than an hour from the coast. Just think about it, lol, considering moving here-you guys can make fun of all of us who cry when the temps (rarely) drop under 25 and when we close schools because it snowed 2 inches. Just bring some rain gear for spring lol
