When you book trip and getting magic bands you can also purchase a selection of decorated bands at a very good price they are located in the magic bands area in the app or my Disney Experience online

Thanks, this was a very informative video! Do you happen to know where you can purchase a clasp to "lock" your Magic Band and keep it from falling off? Last trip my daughter's fell off a couple of times, and mine fell off once. I remember someone we met there mentioned something you can purchase to keep it locked in place, but I wasn't able to find them at my resort gift shop...

Hi Shannon! I'm planning my first trip to Disney and I've a question: if I customize my MagicBands and set the shipping address now, will I get them 1 month before the trip or will them ship them earlier (like 2-3 months ahead)? Should I wait to do it?
You can customize them now, but won't get them until 3-4 weeks before your trip.
You have up to 30 days before your trip to change your colors online. They won't ship til that 30 day mark. Have fun!
@@wdwprepschool I keep seeing videos that say you'll use your magic bands and fingerprint to enter park. At what point do you record a fingerprint? I am not coming across that step.

Only the stuff that is based off the active transmitter in the band, such as the automated ride photos/videos, will stop working when the battery is dead after three years. Anything based off the RFID in the band, which is powered by the signal requesting info from the band, such as anything where you have to touch the mickey symbol, which is 90% of what bands are used for, will still work.
It is important to note also only the "Limited Edition" bands ever have extra effects. "Limited Release" is different. Basically Limited Edition Disney has said they made x amount of them, such as "Limited Edition x" and that is only ones of that band that will ever be made, limited release means the pattern will be retired after a certain period, but during that period they may make or release more. "Limited Release" do not have special effects. Example, I have a Animal Kindgom Kilimanjaro Safaris Limited Release band that has a cool pattern, but no special effect at entry points. I just got a Incredibles 2 Limited Edition 4000 band, that means 4000 of them were made, and it does have a effect at entry points.

Edit : Do not tie in your credit card to your band my choir director took my choir 3 years ago and he told us don't tie anything to it .
