This was very informative, but in my opinion there is a pre step to all this planning, and that is financing it. You must must must, be able to save enough money to enjoy Disney to the fullest. Putting everything on a CC will just invite trouble later on. For a family of four, I recommend about 3000.00 for five nights. I am including a Disney moderate resort, 3-Day Disney Pass, and meals, no dining plan though. This is just an estimate. You can save even more by renting an Airbnb. Being able to have the funds makes it so much more enjoyable, trust me. I am sure lots of people load up their CCs and just go without any idea of what may be lurking soon. I hate to put negativity here, but it’s more of a peace of mind. Putting some money each week, or perhaps every month, helps make it more manageable. 😁

@@kma763 Um... the huge BILL on your credit card that you now have to pay back after splurging on a vacation.
I 100% would rather pay cash for my trips. I actually no longer own a credit card because I'm terrible with them. I agree with the poster. SAVE. I plan soooo far ahead for my trips so I have time to save for things i'll need and want. I couldn't imagine putting $3k + on a credit card for a trip unless it was for an emergency

I really would like to try your touring plan next trip (April) Instead of my usual 'minute-by-minute' plan. It does sound more relaxing, but a little fearful too! We discovered after our family's first trip (2015) we cannot magically turn ourselves into morning people at DW. We have to sleep in (till 8/9 am). And we like to stay late. I know we lose alot of prime touring time doing that, but we feel better. Do your plans work for late arrival/night owls?

How do you get into the Magic Kingdom before the actual opening I heard to shop and take pics and get a coffee etc . We have a dinning breakfast at 9:10 at the castle one morning . Thank you !
