Unfortunately I don't think that's even a hot take anymore. There's definitely a world where the Bulls front office convinces themselves that this team is somehow competitive and decides to keep both Zach and Vooch because they've been the Bulls two best/most consistent players so far this year
@@KennethSwann-wx6hudon’t blame demar, blame the front office for building around a big three of demar vooch and lavine and not thinking about how the team would gel. especially the defense
Clowney from the nets is a perfect fit for the window, the athletic ability, and spreading the floor. The bulls need an athletic big who can shoot asap man. Smith is truly a PF Pat needs to play the 3.. that way the bulls defensive issues won’t be the issues we see today and the floor wouldn’t take the issues on the offensive side.
What the Bulls need is a good picker of players that fit the system. They have the scoring so what they need is a better defensive coach. They need players who are willing to play 48 minutes of intense team basketball. I feel that they need a young center and or a real power forward. But first get the picker right! Go Bulls 👊🏾👊🏾
GSW deal looks perfect, but give us 1st instead of 2 2nd rounders 😂. I actually think this deal would be amazing for them, even with them including 1st round pick. They are 1st in the west and this would just help them.
I think we should Zach lavine and Nikola Vucevic and multiple first round picks for Giannis Antetokounmpo since they are 6 and 9 on the record and said if we don’t win now then I’m getting traded and since he is the best nba player currently in right now wait a minute I just realised salary cap for if we were to get Giannis Antetokounmpo
There are more buyers than sellers on the market so I expect someone will offer 1st round pick eventually. Grizzlies need a starting center. Edey is better suited as a backup for now. They can send Aldama, Clarke, Kennard, and 2nd round pick (even 1st round) for Vucevic and Torrey Craig Warriors want to deal Melton since he's done for a season, so Melton (also expiring), Looney, and 1st round pick would make more sense. Lakers offer doesn't make sense without 1st round pick. If Spurs remain competitive for the play-off, maybe they will want upgrade at center. They can send Zach Collins and 1st round pick. Vooch would be great next to Wemby
For this to happen, all of the young players will have to play with him in practice and after practice and before practice. And just have fun doing it! And have Zach come with them.
AT THIS STAGE OF THE GAME: I'm "MORE CONCERNED" with Bulls "MOVING ON" from Donovan - although I admit he "FINALLY" joined the 21st. CENTURY, with his OFFENSIVE SCHEME, etc, it's not enough. Too many turnoves, lack of D, and not giving young players more time, I'VE SEEN ENOUGH - than I am with - REALISTICALLY - any player(s) the Bulls would get for VUC and / or LaVine, just to put new players with Donovan. IMO Donovan NEEDS TO GO FIRST.
3 second round picks from POR , 3 second round picks from LA and Deandre Ayton to the BULLS ---- D’angelo Russell and Rui Haichmura to the PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS. ---- Torres Craig , Ayo Dusumu and Nikola Vucevic to the LAKERS
why would the Bulls give up Vuec and Ayo for Ayton and some 2s? thats worse than nothing. You dont even get to move off of the salaries, Ayton is over 50% more expensive than Vuec. this makes no sense for anyone but the Lakers. you gotta be a laker fan with this sh right here.
@@mrawesome7175 its not about what Vuec is, its about what Ayton isnt, and that is a part of your future. I would rather move Vuec for one two and an expiring contract than be stuck paying Ayton over $30m next year. Having cap available means they can take expensive expiring contracts from contenders for second round picks while giving up nothing and still maintaining future flexibility. Plus, Portland is not looking to give up picks and unless they thought they could move Dlo and Rui almost instantly they wouldnt accept this deal. Those two would clog their rotation and make it harder to develop their young talent.
I don’t think the Bulls should trade Vooch, he’s sturdy and has shown he can improve. You could trade for someone who gets injured easy or isn’t as consistent.
Ehhh I see what you're saying but if the Bulls can find a decent trade return they'd kick themselves for not taking it. How Vooch is playing right now is probably the best we'll ever see him play in a Bulls uniform and he's in his mid 30s already. By this time next year -or even later this year - there's a decent chance he won't be playing at this level anymore and the Bulls would be stuck with him until his contract runs out. Trading him while his value is likely at its highest helps the Bulls long term with any additional young players/draft picks they might get in a trade, and you could argue it helps in the short term too by improving draft lottery odds in a year where the Bulls aren't going anywhere competitively and this draft class is supposedly loaded
I see what you're saying, but you also have to factor in that he would most likely be going to a better situation with a better coach and a better roster. It's much easier to see him performing at least close to what he is doing right now supported by those things. We can be specific, we are not expecting him to continue to shoot the three ball at this clip. Everything else that he does is reproducible, again especially in a better situation.
Hot take: Bulls fail to trade both Zach and Vooch and they remain on the Bulls until their contracts expire
Hahahahahha! This would be soooo Bulls! I don’t even think it’s a hot take 😂

At the moment, Vooch is looking like an Eastern Conference All-Star, and that HAS to net back a 1st round pick, even if it's a late one.

Trading Vucevic is tricky because the Bulls also need to get a big back for their lack of bigs on the roster.
Not really. They can solve that with a different trade.
