  • Is EV9 a charging king? Well, it does have quite a low voltage compared to the other offerings from KIA and Hyundai.

You should monitor "Battery min" instead of "battery max", the max charging speed of the e-GMP cars is based on the lower temperature, not the highest one. It's possible that at the begining of your charge your warmest cell was at 26degress but the colest was at 17 degress. You need the coldest to be at 27 to get max speeds. By the time it reached more than that, the SOC was too high for max power.
It's all in line with the behavior of the Ioniq 5, but it does look a bit slower overall (no peak at 220+ even after the 27degrees).

Good info. Will take this into account the next time around.

How do you like the EV9 vs the ID Buzz you used to drive? Trying to decide if I should wait for the Buzz here in the US. Thanks for this video!

EV9 feels much wider to drive, and a little bit faster. I do like the interior of the EV9 more, and the great charging. It’s difficult to compare driving feel when I don’t have them side by side.

84 kWh in 30 minutes is not bad at all!

I always though the EV9 was much bigger than the iX, but apparently not! Now I am curious as to the boot size of these two. Since older iXs sell for cheaper then a new EV9. I dont strictly need the 3rd row, I just want a large boot, really. I have been unable to find a boot depth for the EV9, and I guess it depends on how you set the 2nd row, but there coul be min and max measurements.

The EV9 is super large, a proper full size, three row SUV.

EV 9 is ALOT bigger car than a iX's. Its several hundred of litres bigger than the iX's and with the railing system in midle row seats you can extend the boot bigger than twice the size of a iX without having to fold down the midle row. The cars are significantly different size. EV9 is a iX7 equalivant if there would be such.

Min max measurements for the boot are with 2nd row up. Maximum 155cm. Minimum 123cm. Width is maximum 132cm. minimum 105cm(tire arches) Height of the boot is 75cm.
EV9 base litres are VDA measured 828 litres compared to iX 500 litres.
Length from back to front seat backs is behind a 187cm driver/passanger 220cm long.
I as a 187cm man sit comfortably on each of the 6 or 7 seats and have plenty of leg, head and shoulder room.

This is the thing, EV9 is boxy and high for sure. But its only actually 6 cm longer than the iX. I know packaging does a lot of things, and the iX "only" has a 99cm boot depth apparently? I think the passat is deeper at 117cm although its a significantly shorter car, how this works I dont know? Volume is nice and all, but a deep and wide boot is much easier to use.

Bullshit test..If you have -30 and have no possibility to preheat.....what then ?

      Then it’ll charge slower

Why would you not have possibility to preheat? You can preheat the battery while parker, while driving manually or while driving with navigation. You can literally start the preheating from your home sofa while drinking coffe and once the battery is heated up you can quick charge at your local charger.
