Thanks for the review. Not nearly as beautiful, but impressive nevertheless for it's value for money, I would also mention Rode's NTH 100. Very competent closed-back set.
Dude, I don't know if this is your personal pair of headphones or not, but at 2.15 minutes you showed how the swivel joint of the headphones dangles. I'm writing for those who have a similar problem, it was on my pair of headphones too, this problem appeared because at the factory, when assembling the headphones, they didn't apply thread lock to the screw that screws into the bolt with internal threads. You just need to do a little repair, you need to have two screwdrivers with a Torx profile, number six and five. With the sixth Torx, you will unscrew the two screws that hold the earcups and carefully remove the earcups, then you will have free access to the dangling hinge, using the number five Torx, unscrew it and apply blue thread lock, then assemble everything in the reverse order. I did this with my headphones and now I don't have this problem.
Thanks for the review especially near the end : when you compare it on its price! If you ar happy to answer What wins between this & the seinheisser sd569 for Qawwali?
569 is a bit more on the tighter and more sharper side, it's an excellent HP for clarity and treble definition but you don't need that will Qawali so.. FT1 with it's superior Vocals and above average instrument clarity wins the recommendation.
Thanks for the response. For a Sony hi res player price wise I couldn’t really find a comparable A2DC hi res 4.4 balanced on ear headphone headset apart from ATH-MSR7b* second which also has phenomenal reviews for sound quality Sonys standard on ear headphones used to be so remarkable but I assume they won’t do justice to don’t hi res players. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. Again thanks for the review & response/recommendation.
wow pleasantly surprised you’d had experience with Msr7b too! And thanks for ‘making’ my decision so much easier, smiles. A cheeky one if you are happy to share in your opinion how would these FiiO Ft1 Compare to the Sony MDR-Z7M2’s (assuming you have tried them too) which are dearer than both but do fit the earlier stated criteria. Thanks. All the best
You are going beyond the limits of FT1 but surprisingly these two have a bit of similarities in the upper mid region while the Z7 has punchier, more voluminous bass and bigger stage. Unlike FT1, Z7's lower Treble is a bit more prominent. If you have tw budget of around $500, consider the Neumann NDH 30.
What us the best DAC/AMP ( portable , and desktop) , that is optimum with the FT1 , also I would like to your verdict on how it sound hooked to Apple music via the R7 , or the R9.
You mentioned a couple of (more expensive) Sivga models as an upgrade to this Fiio, but for the price, I think the fair comparison should be with the Sivga SV021, very similar price... How would you say the Fiio FT1 compares to those?
Do you think iems offer a better value for price as compared to headphones. I see them advancing with at a pretty rapid pace relatively. Couple of releases every month or two with innovations like BCDs trickling down the price range. Man headphones take years to get a update even to a existing model. The only unique cans I have read about are the Viking Weaves prototype at Canjam london which is a dual DD. May be flagship cans do better than iems but can a ft1 or even the ft3 compete with iems of the same price technically. Just curious. 😄
They kind od can and can't at the same time. If you want stage then HP are better but believe me, I have seen IEMs priced as low as $200 with excellent balance of everything. Not lacking anywhere and one of them is the Adonis New. Another one will be Falcon Ultra if you are happy with lower bass quantity. So yes, HPs aren't exactly competing with IEMs but HPs have slightly bigger imaging but technically they aren't superior.
@@eargasmic3060 thats great to know man. I know both have their benefits respective to their form factor. For someone like me who doesn't have desk space, it is great a have a dongle and an iem that occupy much smaller footpoint without much compromise in SQ.
@@eargasmic3060 Arre, i am talking about the headphone cups, some just fit snugly, I like the big ones so that my ears are comfortable and feel soft and loved.
At $200 IE600 is superb, but can be thin and incoherent. I will suggest QoA Adonis New. And for HPs I will suggest you to get the Dekoni Blue or t50rp. Or FT1 is a very good option too.
With 4.4 cable it becomes a no brainer I think, but if I have only 245mw a channel at 32ohms, will I be able to drive it? Shanling m1s...maybe stick to iem's, sound like Que would be similar?
You can, it isn't that picky. I have used it with DDhifi TC35M2, 45mw per channel and it wasn't bad at all. Yes, the projection isn't reat at the front but nothing else feels bad or restricted.
Please review the Sony MDR-M1
I will try to get one, let's see..

Much appreciated. 😊👌🏻

I did that, but shouldn't they take care of this out of the factory? This kind of wiggly fitting is not common at all.

Msr7b was good but lacked a bit with stage and organic delivery. A2dc headphones are hard to get these days though.

what is your recommendation DAC to pair with this headphone? I am a beginner in audiophile and I hope you can answer this question, thanks!
You can pair it with Hidizs S8 pro or Shanling UA4 for excellent output.
@eargasmic3060 well noted thanks sir
What us the best DAC/AMP ( portable , and desktop) , that is optimum with the FT1 , also I would like to your verdict on how it sound hooked to Apple music via the R7 , or the R9.
FT1 doesn't need much power, anything decent or above $100 is perfectly fine for it.
You mentioned a couple of (more expensive) Sivga models as an upgrade to this Fiio, but for the price, I think the fair comparison should be with the Sivga SV021, very similar price... How would you say the Fiio FT1 compares to those?
FT1 is better than 021, it has better balance, bigger stage and a more natural, effortless presentation.
