Man it really looks and sounds good but I wish they would have at least colored bulma hair blue, it's be perfect. That's the only thing most don't do is the hair colors for the characters right. But awesome job, I love seeing the different dbz live action films people do. So much talent out there.
I've been tracking this series from the start! I think it's fantastic so far in terms of your ability to adapt the series and provide a nostalgic experience while staying true to a lot of the core elements. However, I do have some constructive criticism! 1) The series feels a bit rushed, and while I do understand that these episodes are made as a web series, I think for a previous fan of Dragon Ball it is very easy to follow, however for someone who has never seen Dragon Ball before, there are many scenes that just don't immediately unfold to being something that can be easily understood. 2) The character motives and intentions sometimes don't quite match with their personality. I think both Breanna and Jacob are doing exceptional for the series so far, but perhaps some more dialogue between them would evoke a bit more background context that would help define the choices and circumstances of their actions. (The Red Ribbon reference here is mostly what I am referring to) 3) Changes to the original series don't bother me as much, but some fans can be very shrewd about adapting or outright reconstructing something that they feel raised them. For me, Dragon Ball is just as much a part of my family as my own two parents are, I woke up to it, I stayed with it all day, learning from it, and I fell asleep to it and dreamt about it. With all of that being said, I think a really missed opportunity in many live action Dragon Ball/Z series even including the... professionally done one... is that changes are often made for adaptability purposes, and the very, very small details go overlooked, in the guise of necessary losses due to the adaptation processes. Small details are key to bringing the experience of Dragon Ball to life, in the original Pilot for this series, those small details were very obviously taken into account, and I LOVED that. Here in the series' progression, I am seeing that that is somewhat being lost, be it intentionally, or through production limitations. My only suggestion, as I am not a trained cinematographer, choreographer, or director, is that subtleties are taken into account. It is okay to have Goku appear more child like, even to be more reserved and afraid of fighting, as that may play a role in his character development further on in the progression of the series. However, the little things that make the character Goku who he is, are rooted in his outward and naive attitude, in addition to his inhumane ability to withstand things a normal human child could not. Goku shooting himself in the original pilot was beautiful, because the writing and directing did such a good job of leading up to the thought that this child is just a regular boy. However afterward, when the RR soldier aims his gun at Goku, both Goku, the character in this series, and the viewers know that gunshots at point blank range do nothing to harm him, and as such, Goku would not need to be afraid of such a threat, which from a writing perspective would seem to be a perfect opportunity to showcase the character's childlike bullheadedness and overconfidence that the original Goku is so well known for. All in all, I feel the series is doing great so far at carving it's own path, and from a visual standpoint, it looks phenomenal. I do hope that my comments and critiques aren't taken in offense, as I mean none as I write this. I only wish to add some outside insight in a constructive way as to make this already great series, even better! From an endearing fan to the makers of a fantastic project, keep up the good work!
Must already begin by translate and subtitle in any language, otherwise success will never there. DBZ fans are everywhere, in every continent. Must understand that after Japan, the first French-speaking fans because the animated aired first in France. In the USA the animated took a long time to arrive and be loved by the American fans. When the anime was released in France, it has put a lot of time for the US to discover this manga and then begins to appreciate. The manga has had time to el almost round the world when the US discovered. In short all that to say that it is mandatory to provide subtitles for the fans answered the call, otherwise no chance for them to work.
No more chapters? That's a pity. The adaptation is not nothing faithful but the atmosphere quiet and mystic is cool, and one can see that it's making whit respect and care.
I really appreciate your creativity, but if allowed, I want to give advice, if possible, look for the same character with the original dragon ball character, both apparently and in character, I think goku is a very cheerful and passionate boy but goku inside this character is not too eager. although apparently not very similar but at least its nature should be similar so that people who watch it will not be bored. that's my advice thanks. over all your work is very good. 👍😊
