230🇨🇦 Buntzen Lake | Most popular picnic spots in BC

Buntzen Lake is located at 5000 Sunnyside Rd, Anmore BC. It is a BC Hydro reservoir that's 4.8 km long and covers an area of 182 hectares. Buntzen Lake is surrounded by a large selection of trails ranging from short and easy to difficult long uphill loops that can be completed from 2 to 3 hours. Buntzen Lake also offers many amenities such as picnic tables, shelter and grass play areas, boat launch, canoe rentals, a designated fenced area for dogs and more. It's a busy place in the summer but open all year. The warm and clean waters make it a popular swimming destination especially on hot weekends. Parking is free but you need to book a day pass a day before your visit.
