- Daryl sent a call out to our amazing Hey Hey fans for any famous lookalikes that were in the area and they came down to the GTV 9 studio in Bendigo St Richmond in their droves. And they didn't disappoint..well maybe some did..This is from Episode 4, 1985.

The Alan Border guy looked more like Ian Botham
That's what I thought.
First guy looked like Rob De Castella.
Marilyn looks like Rene Zellwinger
I lost my pizza cutter so I tried to use an old Rod Stewart CD instead.
It worked all right at first, but the plastic edge got dull right away. The first cut was the deepest.

Talking about Rod Stewart, and this is a true story.
When I was in London I went to a classy restaurant near Mayfair.
During the evening they had some music on and I stood up with a glass of good red wine in my hand, and in front of me there was a guy in this white suit with a few sequins on it, because it sparkled in the lights. Anyway, I don't know how, but I tripped over myself and the red wine went all over the guy in the white suit, and as he turned around with a look of great annoyance, they played a rod stewart song. No idea who the guy was but I enjoyed the music.

A lovely (a long time back, and she really was very pretty) lady said that either it was very good (?) or the competition (?) was very appalling. Methinks the lady was spot on - things were so predictable that we could go out on Saturday night, and next week’s show would be just as bad!
