Yes, that's right, I also thought that when the developers released Goat of duty, like dumbass thing, they gave up on game development. Lol Anyway, I'm glad to see Redout 2as a fan
joltout 2: return of the king It's reassuring to see that even someone as good as you still hits the odd wall now and then. I'm loving the game so far, controls feel tighter than the original and the new environments feel much closer to that of the DLC tracks which were amazing
@@foxboy64 Yeah but speed saving wall bounces were more difficult than avoiding the wall. I hate tighter controls though. Its a huge damper on what otherwise could be a 10/10 game. I didn't want F-zero physics. I wanted redout physics. I enjoyed Redout. If I wanted f-zero, id have just gone to play that.
I bought it digital, is very good and vicious game, now I want to buy it in physical. Fastest machines on earth, Redout 1 it's already a classic. 🥃😎🚬 2 is a must also!
Glad to see you've picked up and are enjoying Redout 2! A+ performance, as usual. I saw your Redout 1 videos as well (how i found you in fact) and I'm curious how you think the two compare. I personally like 2 a lot more, the boost/heat system is really fun and engaging I feel. Edit: Oh, also curious if you have advice for Speed Trials. I can competently handle everything on redout difficulty, but speed trials seem to be my bane.
I prefer 2. 1 got a bit stale, and the boost mechanic is awesome imo. It's really risk/reward, and you can tell that the people who push their ships to that 1hp barrier all the time will be the ones slapping people online lol. As for speed trials, just try to keep your speed up high and turbo on straights. Any wall collisions are a no go.
Yo UA-camr friend you doing really good on that game you can tell I definitely know the speed trials are getting more difficult as they go what I am getting through it one way or another and I created some F zero GX machines for the maximum speed and mobility even I did the master trial it was a little bit hard I got second place on it which is good
Absolutely worth the wait! I've been enjoying the heck out of this game myself as well. It really is a completely new game compared to the first Redout, it's remarkable how much has changed both mechanically and visually. Are you playing this at high refresh rate (120+ fps)? It's a real visual treat if you're able to :)
@@Joltout That's good to hear. What are your thoughts on the new handling model btw, with the ships having way more grip and maintaining speed much better when cornering? Do you think it will discourage wall-bouncing as an ideal strategy for the fastest lap times?
@@uvi- I haven't analysed wall collisions and stuff, but it does feel like hitting walls at all, bounce or not, is a speed death sentence. Feels very nice to drive around regardless.
@@Joltout Yeah, especially since hitting a wall resets the cooldown on health regen, seems like the fastest way around is to stay off the walls as much as possible. Loved your videos showing off the boss tracks in the first game. You're quite fast, so I hope my lap times can be competitive with yours c:
The stutter is due to bad optimization... I'm running the game on a 3080ti and I get microfreezes now and then too. Hopefully they fix this issue with patches
Looks great so far! I guess that's a lower tier race? Can't wait to see how fast the game is on higher tiers. Hopefully, my old GTX 1080 can spit out 100+ FPS somehow... :D
Yea, this is basically the equivalent of Class 1 or 2 lol. I haven't unlocked enough performance parts yet to get to the crazy stuff, but if it matters, the points for this were 200-300.
@@Joltout Hehe, yeah I figured, this looks a lot like early Reodut 1 stages. I'm also curious how crazy later tracks will look like. Surface Sprint or some of the DLC maps were just nuts! Btw, love your boss videos! Absolute legend! ;)
@@Joltout oh yeah. I felt annoyed when there were reviews on Steam saying it didn't match the original, etc. If they wanted that, there are plenty of track packs on the first game to go through. I only played a little, but this really feels like a refinement already.
They knocked it out of the park. Everything a sequel should be. Can't wait to see more.
Except the music. Redout 1 had more immersive tracks.
I'm shocked. Like i didn't even know they were in the process of developing it.
But also happy! Redout is back!
Yes, that's right, I also thought that when the developers released Goat of duty, like dumbass thing, they gave up on game development. Lol Anyway, I'm glad to see Redout 2as a fan
They figured the HUD out, and also it looks like the visibility is way better too!
I was pumped the first time I heard this tune play in Campaign.
I think it could be called a bit corny, but in context it hyped me up perfectly.

to be fair world record runs of the first game REQUIRED wall bounces to go as fast as possible.

@@Wylie288 What's changed with the controls?
I'm so happy for this team and what they're doing for antigrav today. This game slaps
Love your videos dude, hope you keep 'em comin'
I'm just glad they fixed wall collisions
The HUD highlighting the next corner coming up is a massive quality-of-life improvement that solves one of my biggest complaints with the original.
I found Redout 1 through your channel
I was waiting for this
Time to go faster than ever

Glad to see you here and playing Redout 2I go back and watch your Redout 1 videos sometimes - Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. :)
It is very fun indeed. Tartarus Mines is quite difficult but really fun to race on.
Really glad they amped up the difficulty!!!
I got lonely doing races in redout 1
Also the tradeoff of [ overheating -> health loss ] is genius
Borrowed genius.
@@HighLanderPonyYT its a similar idea to F-zero but in the races its VERY different
@@timothygooding9544 I can get behind that.
YEAAAAAAAAAH, I KNEW YOU'D BE PLAYING IT!!! I SAW YOUR ORIGINAL REDOUT VIDEOS, AND I JUST KNEW YOU'D WANT TO PLAY REDOUT II AS WELL!!!
BRACE FOR TAKEOVER!!

Awesome gameplay (like always ;))! Finally someone who knows how to play the game!
Wow this looks Awesome :) nice gameplay too!! Im waiting for this title to hit the Nintendo Switch
I was waiting for your videos since the announcement.
LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOO
I was super excited to see you play this WOOOOOOOOOO
If you've ever played Redout, you'll know just how difficult it’s racing with an orchestra.
All we need now is Redout VR!
They did great with this game. I'm a redout veteran. I'm trying to beat b class right now
*AYOOOO WELCOME BACK*

I'm having frames stutter occasionally in game atm, but otherwise the games smooth as butter for me. Definitely sexy when it's full speed.

Is anybody here having issue of game literally being freezed after the Press Any Key startup screen?
Here we go again!
its on sale in the xbox store thinkin bout gettin it
I had no idea this was even being developed. I thought the Devs went under or something. Good to see i was wrong.
The first one is exponentially better in vr. Does this one have vr?
Did they remove 2 player split screen?
Whew. This sequel is intense. What's your take on the boost system?
Top tier. And because it requires precise management, I can totally see people doing some insane stuff in ranked mode when it launches.

2:35 so backward drift entry is still viable in 2nd part?
