    • @RealEllenDeGeneres
      @RealEllenDeGeneres Місяць тому +1

      I personally hate this kind of training. It's usually janky, poorly acted, and you can't really check corners and use cover.
      The performances and production quality is important. A lot of the time they intentional make people look sus just to trip you up, it's not realistic. Like directly facing you and blatantly shoving their hand in their jacket to pull out a gun, only to find out it's a banana. It's dumb.
      And you just stand in the middle of a room rather than clearing an area like you'd do irl. Pie'ing corners, and using cover. Imagine if you just walked into the middle of a room and stood there to clear it out irl. You'd be dead in most high threat situations.

Scenarios got progressively harder and the school was the culmination. I really enjoyed it, but it was really eye opening for me. When you know someone can't even run an average distance, it obviously makes them less capable. They should respect their job and role enough to square it away on their own. This looks like a genuine simulation, what a lot of people don't understand about police work, is that anybody can be the bad guy. When you are an officer, that civilian you just befriended, by asking basic questions about a case, could have their own crimes that get caught in the crosshair of the law. In a split second that civilian could become an additonal suspect, and you found yourself here because you have to wait for THEM to make a move first. Police work is mental
